my next work: canon divergence where inho doesn’t toss gihun back into the game after the rebellion, and instead just chucks him back onto the streets of seoul.
after another sexy limo scene, inho shows up at the motel as ‘young-il’ and serves up this tragically fake sob story like, “they spared me too gihun-ssi” 🥺 and he’s very proud of it. unfortunately, gihun sees through him in 0.2 seconds. but says nothing. just watches him flounder in the role he built. lets him crawl closer. lets him stay. lets inho believe he’s fooling him.
and inho keeps following him. he thinks he’s being subtle—toffering up half-truths and pitiful glances like breadcrumbs, convinced gihun’s just too soft (too stupid, really) to put the pieces together. he spins his little lies with trembling hands and expects sympathy. pity, maybe. connection, if he’s lucky. and he’s so proud of himself every time gihun nods along. like he’s passing some impossible charisma check.
he doesn’t realise gihun’s been letting him. letting him lie. letting him trail after him like a wet cat on a leash made of shame and denial. because gihun—sweet, shattered, unkillable gihun—isn’t planning to expose him. no. that would be too easy. too clean.
gihun’s going to break him.
by the time inho realises he’s not in control, he’s already knee-deep in whatever this is. and the worst part? he wants to stay there. wants the softness. the attention. as long as it keeps coming from gihun.

Quiver Tree Forest… Despite the light pollution of neighboring city Keetmanshoop, the Milky Way was bright enough so one can say it’s a bortle 1-2 sky, which is actually the case everywhere in Namibia. (gear in tags, settings and process here )
