laundry - martin

warnings: kissing, fluff

it’s nearing midnight, and for some reason your boyfriend decided to go on an impromptu laundry trip. it’s only the two of you in the laundromat, the fluorescents winking at you and the idle laundry machines buzzing. it’s peaceful, and you feel like you and martin are the only two people left on the planet, who despite that fact still have to do their laundry.

you're sitting on one of the washers that's not currently in use, watching as martin puts the last of his wet laundry in the dryer. you're wearing one of his oversized shirts since all your clothing was currently being washed, admiring your boyfriend in nothing but jeans and a tank top.

he comes over to the washer where you’re sitting and hugs you sleepily, burying his face in your chest, the room filled with the sound of whirring washing machines. you watch the laundry spinning over his shoulder as he caresses your back with light fingertips.

“cmere,” he mutters, taking your hand and leading you off the washer and onto the tile that’s cold on your bare feet. he spins you around, and the next thing you know you're slow dancing with him. you giggle.

the smell of fabric softener mixes with the smell of his cologne and you rest your head on his chest as he gently rocks the two of you back and forth, his larger hand enveloping yours.

“you look so pretty like this, you should wear my shirts more often,” he murmurs into your hair.

“you should offer them to me more often then,” you say, wrapping your arms around his waist and gazing up at him. he kisses your forehead and then your temple and then finally your lips.

you kiss him back and gently back him up against the wall of dryers, abandoning your tranquil swaying from minutes ago.

your hands are in his hair, his palms are hot against your shoulder blades as he kisses you passionately, the smell of his cologne doubled since he’s wearing it but so are you in his shirt. he gently massages the skin of your shoulders and licks into your mouth causing you to whimper.

he grabs hold of your shoulders and repositions the two of you so you’re the one that’s up against the wall and latches his lips onto your neck quickly moving down.

the laundromat grows eerily quiet suddenly and the machine behind you clicks off and begins loudly beeping. martin, startled, pulls away from you.

“the laundry’s done,” you chuckle. his face is flushed and he smiles and rolls his eyes.
