“What if” scenario

"With the boys, one artist handled the three looks, costume-wise. When we first see them, we really wanted this bubble gum pop, very saccharine, super sweet look. The middle one is very brief, you see it right before they turn dark. And for the end, I really wanted them to look like the iconic Grim Reaper with the hat which is much more traditional. It has been done in K-pop before, but only because that is a traditional Korean look. We also tried to light them in more of a silhouette, because the hat is such an iconic thing. We just wanted to show the polar opposites of what a boy group could be."

Jinu color & lighting concepts I did for KPop Demon Hunters!

early screening color script selections - my favorite part of working on this movie was helping establish the colors with these thumbnail paintings before production started. Most are painted over early storyboards, but some I didn't have boards or designs and had to go off vibes alone. Its cool to see how some of these ideas still made it into the final film. A lot of artists down the line definitely pushed and plussed the colors, and I love how it turned out.

Making some sequel predictions rn 😭

1. The Saja Boys comes back only to be redeemed. Jinu also comes back but this time as a human without memories.

2. Celine gets killed off Uncle Aaron-style.

3. The antagonist is Rumi’s dad. He is going all-revenge at Celine. He later gets redeemed by Rumi at the end for being his daughter.

4. HUNTR/X has plans to start a brand-new world tour throughout.

5. The sequel will focus on both Rumi’s parents, the Saja Boys and the Golden Honmoon all at once.

(Oh and I’m adding the kiss too)
