sparrow's entire friend group was made up of:
their eldiritch great aunt
someone who's definition of anger management therapy was also killing people
a guy they spent a decade in prison with
and some dude who tried to betray them. twice. back-to-back.
I don't even know how they made friends with Walter and Jasper. Literally the two most competent and well-adjusted people they spent an extended amount of time with.
One day you're in a constant state of conflict, trudging through the unthinkable, and making allies with the only people who aren't trying to kill you;
The next, you're trying to fix the socioeconomic state of the country while figuring out how bureaucracy works
What a social life

I'm going to say it. The (word in parentheses) meme is way better for tone indication than tone indicators

Can you imagine how terrifying it must have been to fight Sparrow, especially before they were well known? No one has seen a Hero in years, no one would know what to expect. Imagine you're a bandit and you just jumped some grubby traveller on the road. But it's almost impossible to get a hit on them. When you do, it doesn't seem to phase them. Slice them, stab them, shoot them repeatedly... they just keep coming. They won't go down. What's that animal with them? Looks like a dog but you've never seen one on real life so- oh my god it's mauling you. This was supposed to be easy. They were outnumbered! There were 8 other bandits with you, but every time you look, another one is dead. Oh, and now they're shooting lightning at you. What the hell

Anyway, having thoughts about the Millfields Balverine nobility.
When we fight them at reavers manor, theres no white balverine leader like we see at other places in both 2 and 3, so do we think they have one? Did they just not come to the party that night, or are they potentially too old to be interested? Maybe they don't have one because they don't subscribe to traditional balverine behavior and go fully feral?? So are they all doing their own thing, or do they have like chosen leaders based on specific things?
How do they interact with the nonbalverine part of high society? Are they mingling normally and marrying them in at all, or do they only interact to keep up appearances, only keeping within their group for the most part?
Do their kids get kept away from other children? Like presumably they'd also be able to turn, but does that start from childhood or does it wait til they're older??? Can they fail to inherit the balverine genes and have to either be bitten or does it make them unable to be affected by the bite?? Is that why Muriel has that statue, shes from a family that got diluted or lost the ability to turn or do they just coincidentally own it??

No matter what I do, I keep going back to him again... and again...

(Tell me I'm not the only one who associates him with snakes?)

Have we ever talked about the man in wraithmarsh that mocks Sparrow about their dog dying in the fog, because he knows it's dangerous, just to then promptly go into the fog?

quick sketch series based off of that one part of the wiki where it talked about like, the marianne coming alive and sailing sparrow to lion head isle because it “sensed sparrows intent like it’s some kind of horse. i know reaver is seething over a non sailor just miraculously sailing this ghost ship.

There's a hole in your soul like an animal
With no conscience, repentance, oh no
Close your eyes, pay the price for your paradise
Devils feed on the seeds of the soul
