An Important Announcement

Now that the second round of elections is over and the Lorekeepers have moved on into the final round, I have an important announcement to make regarding it. 

No, I am not stepping down nor am I leaving Tumblr. I’ve been on here since fucking Dashcon and I’m not leaving until this website is taken off the Internet once and for fucking all.

No, this is something incredibly important to me as a person and a scientist. 

As many of you already know or have inferred by now, I am a college student studying bioengineering. It’s been a hard ass road getting here, and I’m nowhere near done with it. I have a long way to go, and I will encounter many, many hardships along the way. But I have made an important step, particularly in the research lab I’m a part of.

I have discovered a novel bacteriophage, a complex type of virus that infects bacteria. And I have gotten official confirmation to name it Galactic Eye, after the unique shape of its plaque when incubated in a petri dish - but also because of the Lorekeepers and the eye that is our symbol of the universe, and by extension, every friendship I’ve made online, both new and old, close and distant. This is a mark on this world we live in, proof that I existed and that I loved, and that I was loved in return. 

This is something I have been working on for months past and will continue to work on in months future, something that I am incredibly proud of already, and it is dedicated to you. All of you. Whether we’ve talked every day or never spoken beyond tags back in forth, whether we’ve chatted in Discord or you’ve just silently watched, this is dedicated to you.

May the Galactic Eye look upon you with favor.

An announcement from the Lorekeepers.

It has more than come to our attention that there are calls for libraries, reading, and public knowledge to become obsolete. We are well aware of the mounting attacks towards libraries as a whole and the Lorekeepers have extended aid and shelter towards those that need it.

The calls for acts of violence and hatred of any kind from DT2021 are despicable and malicious. DT does not have the people in mind when campaigning. They only have the wish for the loss of democracy and gaining power for a small group. They are not your friends, and their leader is never going to be your ally.

The Lorekeepers stand against this tyranny wholeheartedly. As a result of any damages done to people or property, we extend our hand to you. We will fund the rebuilding of libraries, the redistribution of books, and the care of those injured in these violent attacks. We see your pains and we stand for your needs and your futures. We will do our best to protect libraries from future damages from these mobs of people.

The election of their allegedly powerful leader will bring nothing but harm. We are a community, but his visions bring nothing but harm, fear, and destruction. If he is willing to claim books are the tools of the elites and the radicals, I shall point you towards the countless books written by people who share his ideals. Who share his want for endless power. The hard-working communities shall be recognized, respected, and upheld under the Lorekeepers. Under DT's rule, your needs would be ignored and your livelihoods ruined.

The Lorekeepers look towards a brighter future, not one of dictatorship. We offer free education and public spaces, no longer leaving education as the gap between classes. Everyone deserves proper care and education, and the Lorekeepers will provide. Any damaged structures in the coming times will be replaced by the Lorekeeper party. We will not allow this city to undergo such frightful times ever again.

If this is their call to action and their warning towards us, I offer this in return. Their warnings and actions are causes for arrest as they stand against everything our communities work for. DT will not offer you anything but suffering in return for their election. We, the Lorekeepers, stand by the people and offer you a new future. One not barred by education, by social gaps, by money. We offer you a fair future where the people work together and they have power and say in their communities.

The universe has seen parties like DT before. It is not the first time history has seen such grave errors. And we will correct them. We will fix them together, and show that tyranny and dictatorship will not be tolerated or excused. They will exist only in history and we will not allow the same mistakes to be renewed. Their reign ends here the same way history has shown time and time again, that these malicious and terrible ideals will crumble to the wayside.

The Lorekeepers offer you connection, knowledge, and fairness in a world that does not give you what you deserve. We extend our offers to all, and no citizen will be left behind.

Second Round of Voting Begins!

Greetings! Throughout the past few days, we have seen a lot happen. Motives became clearer as voter got to see parties place their judgement and ideals in real time. So we that, it’s time we arrive at yet another conclusion with our second round of votes starting now, Friday 8th October 2021 6PM EST.

Some basic rules apply to voting:

You are to enter your name/tumblr id (preferably tumblr id) to vote. You are only allowed to vote once.

Parties will be shortlisted from 10 to 5 remaining parties as a result of these votes.

The Mcytblr Elections is a roleplay event and the outcome of these votes should be taken as such too. 

Presidents are not allowed to vote but running mates and party members can vote. They can even vote for their own party. 

Results will be declared only after Sunday 10th October 2021, 6PM EST.

Statement Regarding the Gala Rodentia

President Wraith and Vice President Ashen have been returned safely to us. With their return, the Lorekeepers have the ability to continue our investigation into the Gala Rodentia hosted by the College of Rat Sentience and organized by Head Professor Ember. Many concerns were raised about the events of the gala and the actions of the College, claiming we of the Lorekeepers have acted irresponsibly and negligently. This investigation was done to address those concerns and bring justice to those harmed during the gala, so that the public's faith in the Lorekeepers may be restored.

The following is the Lorekeepers official recounting of the events of the gala that have been brought to our concern. If any other events of concern happened, please come forward with information so that we may add them to the record and address them.

1.  A hitman appeared at the gala. The hitman attacked several people, resulting in at least one confirmed death.

2.  A knife was found in a closet in the gala. The knife reportedly flew towards the fountain at the entrance to the building.

3.  An unknown person allegedly emerged from the fountain at the entrance to the building. Ember seemed alarmed by the appearance of the person and fled, and the person pursued them.

4.  The person was confronted in a hallway, and was killed by Lorekeeper Wraith after proof that they had unknown and violent intentions. The person did not provide any information usable in this investigation.

5.  No one reported seeing where Ember fled from the person. They have not been seen or heard of since.

The identity and purpose of the hitman, and how they got past the security measures at the gala, are still unknown. The purpose of the knife, the identity of the person in the fountain, and the location of Ember are still unknown.

Due to these concerning events, the Lorekeepers did further research into the College, and found an alarming lack of transparency regarding the organization for the gala. The Lorekeepers trusted Ember as a loyal member of our organization, and thus did not wish to violate Ember's due privacy as a member of our organization. The Lorekeepers do not claim responsibility for the actions of the College. The College was a private undertaking by Ember, and the Lorekeepers supported the College the same way we would support the private undertakings of any member of our organization. The Lorekeepers do not claim responsibility for the willful and unexpected secrecy of Ember.

The Lorekeepers respect the right of every organization to handle its own internal affairs. However, the College has made those internal affairs the business of the public due to endangerment of the guests. The Lorekeepers disavow the College of Rat Sentience and have no intentions to have further contact with or support of the College of Rat Sentience or Head Professor Ember.

Very much so, yes. The universe may have restarted, but nothing is ever absolute, and some things - relics, places, memories - slip through the cracks, damaged but there. Many of our number are those who recall events and people from previous cycles, though more information is always desired so as to piece together this shattered puzzle.

Hello dear keepers! We may not be a part of your team, but we have a question. Will you be recording and storing lore about the election server itself? We and some other participants of the election have started to build a world for the election itself, with characters and details and deities within themselves

I am glad to see such curiosity! What a wonderful emotion it is, and what great questions are always asked. As for the MCYTblr lore in particular, I believe you'd be glad to learn that not only are we archiving this election's lore, we have also archived the lore of each cycle before it. We have our own lore, of broken realities and strange reincarnations, of creatures of all shapes and sizes and of a Library older than time.

We would be ecstatic to hear more about this cycle's world and the people that inhabit it.
