Called in to the saving faith at the age of 21, born and raised in England, sent to live in BC, Canada. This is my journey so far as a young single female Christian and mostly what Jesus is doing in my life so far. I hope to testify to the reality of Jesus in my life, and to see Him bring to completion what He has already started in me. Here I hope to document and share my walk and like with much vulnerability, honesty and truth to reveal the glory of God in my life.

How to Build a School in Four Days [Photojournal]
How to build a school in four days: Mission San Quintin #mexicomission #missiontrip #shorttermmissions
Building schools have been one of the most successful ways in breaking the cycle of poverty in the San Quintin Valley. This short-term missions project operates within a long-term missions project that works with the local community and government which in a previous post I explained how much Mission San Quintin changed my view on short-term missions. Despite having my camera stolen at the…

How San Quintin changed my view on Short-Term Missions
How San Quintin changed my view on Short-Term Missions #missions #ministry #shorttermmissions
I, as I am sure you also, have heard many controversial issues and complications that arise from poorly executed and formed philanthropic or short-term missions programs. Because of this, I had grown very sceptical of organisations that offered organised short-term missions trips and considered them to be more detrimental to communities in the long-run than making any difference. Although this…

A Theft Struck Missions Trip in Mexico
A Theft Struck Missions trip in Mexico
They stole everything It only took us under 3 hours over the Mexican border to fall victims to a major theft. All of the money was gone; stolen from us was the collective funds that the whole team of 30 persons had raised for the mission and materials for the building of a much-needed school in the San Quintin area in Mexico. As well, we suffered the loss of a passport, electronics, a number of…

Nothing can take your life if you life is in Christ
Nothing can take your life if you life is in Christ
[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. [28] I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. [29] My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. [30] I and the Father are one.” (John 10:27-30 ESV) As a Christian, I sometimes wonder why I hold back in…

Arabian Desert Adventures - UAE
Arabian Desert Adventures – UAE
I’m sometimes surprised at how awestruck I become viewing unfamiliar horizons; landscapes with similar yet different floral and fauna, with familiar yet strange buildings that are all under the same sky. I adore experiencing the evidence of the Imago Dei through diverse cultures and their hospitality, and as I dip my toes into the Middle Eastern culture, I wonder how much of it transcends from…

Elfin Lakes, Garibaldi Park
Initially all was unimpressive and hard; a long double track dirt road that stretched for 5km before opening to a warming hut, a slick dirt path continued for about half a kilometer before you could surface for the first glimpse of the mountains you came to enjoy. Nonetheless, one seemed to slowly orbit around this mountain as you followed along an undulating double track that stretched parallel…

Sharing today about Christina's Story and how Christ redeemed her story. @SwtLvndrBkeShpe
For all your foodies who love new recipes, you probably already heard of the fantastic creations on the Sweet Lavender Bake Shoppe blog, but sweeter still is sweetness that exudes from the person behind it, Christina Main.
It’ll probably be safe for me to say, that the joyful heart, kindness, generosity and adorableness woven through her bloglife, doesn’t always come naturally from her, but…

From new believers to seasoned Christians, I have found this book is profitable read to all women in the faith, no matter where you are in your journey and relationship with God.

Everyday Moments: June 2014
Everyday Moments: June 2014 - a summary of June in pictures #everydayproject #replichrome
I was thrown into the whirlwind of June with my cousin’s wedding and waking up the day after to a surprise baby the morning after… these things happen. But aside from that, there were a couple of lazy moments that frequented the bustle of wedding and baby frenzies.
These little coy were most eager to say, “hi!” to us at the wedding venue, and were very fickle to leave us realizing we had no…

Everyday Moments: May 2014 (Part II) #creation #FBF #throwback
Part two of this throwback to May’s photo ends the second half of the month with lots of lupine flowers, more wet weather, caterpillars and campfires.
I have no idea what the wildflower these flowers below are, but I’m captivated by there shape and form.
Reasons why you should you enjoy a rainy day
Rain or sun, they’re both God’s gift to the earth. I love seeing how those water drops capture…

5 Tips: For TGC Conference Attendees
5 Tips: For TGC Conference Attendees #TGCW14 #TGC #TGC15
This weekend I am thrilled to be attending The Gospel Coalition’s Women’s Conference. Having attended the last year’s National Conference, I was deeply encouraged by some of the outstanding and godly speakers, deeply convicted about things and returned back to my local church refreshed to continue the work the Lord has called me to do.
After attending, here are a couple of practical tips and…

Lifting up Jesus on your Wedding Day
A God Glorifying Wedding #wedding #Christ # Jesus
I’ve never had an opportunity to be in a wedding party before, so when my cousin’s bride to be asked me to be her bridesmaid, I was thrilled and a little anxious. What do bridesmaids do anyway. Funnily for this wedding, the bride seemed to be chilled and organized enough that there were no major tasks at hand. Instead, she treated us to getting our nails, hair and make-up done.
So, a little bit…

Everyday Moments: May 2014 (Part I)
Everyday Moments: May 2014 (Part I) #May #SpringFlowers #throwback
This post is overdue a few weeks, which basically makes it a #throwback to May’s activities.
Spring kind of kicks off a little differently where I work and where I live. I have about a hour commute up north to go to work, which makes the Spring season about two to three weeks slower than where I live.
Plants and planting
For anyone who knows about my windowless office job, it was pretty neat to…
