It's not only the 5th anniversary of Spongebob's Big Birthday Blowout. It's ALSO the 5th anniversary of Slappy Laszlo's debut!

Fixing up my 3ds and got bored so I added the entirety of Slappy Daze on it :D Now it takes forever for my 3ds to turn on but at least I can watch Slappy on every screen I own💞

Yeah, I guess you could say I'm a pro gamer😎

I Slappy-fied my 3ds! Since modding it and having a new found use for it in the big year of 2025, I figured I should give it an exterior refresh too since it was looking so beat up.

I haven't gotten around to making a Slappy 3ds theme yet for it. I actually didn't want to post this until I did but I got impatient. I wont be making one anytime soon cuz busy™ but there is other things I wanted to share:

I downloaded all the old Spongebob game boy games! When I was a teenager I really really wanted to play them (especially the very first one SBSP Legend of the lost spatula for the game boy color) but I didn't have a proper computer to download and emulate the games (and I guess it never occurred to me that I could do it on my phone)

Anyways I quite enjoy playing them since this is a handheld console. Not -exactly- the same as a game boy color or game boy advance but it feels closer to how it was originally played ya kno? I also like that I can play this whenever on the go. I keep my 3ds in my purse all the time. Its very nostalgic.

The SB games I have thus far are legend of the lost spatula, supersponge (you know that one gba game that had inappropriate drawings of the characters hidden in the game files) , spongebob movie game, battle for bikini bottom, creature from the krusty krab, lights camera pants. They are all so nostalgic to play. I feel like legend of the lost spatula, while the most simple of them is the most nostalgic. There's literally SO many references to season 1 episodes. It's whole vibe is literally season 1. It's so simplistic and adorable, it feels like falling in love with the spongebob franchise all over again.

I literally have not felt so warm and fuzzy from spongebob like this in so long. Don't get me wrong I will always love the show even in its modern era and spinoffs and all but this is what I have been missing! It ached like like a phantom limb how sweet and positive it used to feel😭😭 where have you been spongebobbert??

I love how he does the little jellyfish jam dance as an idle animation. It's literally so precious.

As for the other SB games, I enjoy them too, it's just lofls feels special in a way thats different from the other games. The rest of the others are for the game boy advance and feels a lot closer to the games I specifically grew up playing (I grew up playing ds games primarily, the dsi was my first console).

I feel like gba and ds games feel very similar to me. I was more interested in seeing how much those games differed from the other versions since that was a thing. I always knew lights camera pants for the PC was a different game than the one for the game boy for example. For the most part lights camera pants for the gba just feels like a regular sb themed platformer with a very loose story slapped on😅 when you play them one you played them all. I'm not upset though because I can't get enough of spongebob (despite what my peter lorre fish hyoerfixation might have led you to believe)

Also what is wrong with him?

That's all I have to share for now. When I get around to making a Slappy 3ds theme (and possibly a proper Spongebob one since I couldn't find s good spongebob 3ds theme that I liked) then I'll share it here. Also if you want any more info about how to do this then always feel free to leave your questions in the ask box. I am very slow at getting to asks so be warned.
