Okay, yeah, she pretty much only exists as a plot device for Berkut's fall and redemption arc, but damn it if she isn't the cutest, most sympathetic plot device. Like, seriously, it is like they gave Berkut a puppy. Is the puppy really going to he that significant of a character? No, but everyone loves puppies. So, don't be surprised when said puppy wins a weird-fun popularity contest.
rinea’s popularity continues to baffle me as a npc who gets verbally berated by her fiance, speaks about 6 lines and then dies

Firstly, 'Outdoor' cat to me is like a barn cat or a friendly neighborhood stray; usually a semi-feral animal who wants ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the inside of your house. What everyone is talking about here is what I would call an Inside/Outside cat; the cat is basically a house cat, but likes to venture outside and occasionally bring half-dead animals for me to dispose of.
Now, I was always aware of the issues with having an Inside/Outside cat. We had several cats growing up and, well, let's just say stuff happened. So, when my sister basically thrust a kitten at me saying 'yours now', I actually wanted to make him a pure Inside cat, if for no other reason then I would be moving out into an apartment and away from the open fields of the country. Buuuut, we were living with my grandma and we have a small dog. So, yeah, he became an Inside/Outside cat. We have now moved to a 3rd floor apartment and I just finished setting up the patio (balcony?) so he can go out and get a little fresh air from time to time. We, of course, watch him though, as we don't trust him to NOT be an idiot and leap to his death.
It seems to be working well, but he is most definitely more of an Inside cat now. I hope we can get him fully transitioned before we look into buying a house in a year. Either way, we are much better about just not letting him outside. To anybody trying to shift a cat to being an Inside cat, don't give in to tiny kitty terrorism. They will eventually stop yowling when they realize they don't get anything for it.
man, I have very little sympathy for people who’re like “I gotta let them play in traffic, my cat WAILS and acts MISERABLE unless I let them outside!”
because like……….so does mine? at a certain point each day Grim decides she wants out, and until that happens she a) follows me about SCREAMING, and b) sits atop whatever I’m doing and bites my hands. this is not an exageration

wanna know what I do? I take her out. either supervised in my backyard or on leash in the front
she naps in the sunlight, eats copious amounts of grass, rolls in dirt, and murders butterflies. after 15-30 minutes (equivalent to the time you’d spend on a neighbourhood dog walk) I take Grim back in, and she happily sleeps/plays/cuddles indoors for the remainder of the day

it’s legitimately low-effort

Howdy! I joined the little snowbird's team when Laevatein lost. This is my gauntlet crew and my ID, if you are looking for some backup.

I main Azura and just use the others when I need to complete the quests. I'm sure you have plenty of awesome people already, but I just wanted to offer.
Have a great day and I hope Ylgr wins!
Yay! We won–
Of course. -_-

Basically this. Me personally, I like the base concept of the banner (Valla but Stepford Wives kind of creepy perfect). I like the Corrin alts, if for no other reason than more dragon emblem units (yes please!). I am liking how Mikoto fits in (also, Candle Light in a non-limited unit). I am...disappointed, I guess, that the 4th unit is another Camilla, but I can't think of a better unit I would want in there instead. Like, Azura obviously, but that one is so obvious that we are getting her as a Tempest unit. So, no complaints there.
In short, I am not super hyped for this banner, but other people are and that is fine. And, while I don't agree with another Camilla alt, I don't have any better ideas. So, Camilla fans out there, enjoy yourselves!
HEY
QUIT YOUR BITCHING AND LET PEOPLE ENJOY THINGS!!!!!
“Ugh it’s more fates”
“Uggghhh another Camilla???”
LET. PEOPLE. ENJOY. THINGS.
Stop bitching and moaning at every fates banner! If you ABSOLUTELY have to say something, at least make it constructive.

FEH/FE Switch Theory
Okay, this is really more of a theory on how the Fire Emblem Switch game is going to go, but it is based on my previous theory on how FEH and FE: Switch may be linked and also dives into how I think the story of Heroes is going to go. So, I figure it counts.
Disclaimer: I go into some details about Fire Emblem Heroes Book 2. If you haven't played it, this is your spoiler warning.
Alright, something else that has been bugging me is, technically, in Norse mythology, both the Fire Kingdom and Ice Kingdom are antagonists. I love the story and all of my lovely little ice princesses, but my point remains. Another thing is this: Norse mythology has a lot of realms to it that play a big part in the stories, which I think they play with very well considering the hero summoning ability. Obviously they have Niflheim and Muspelheim, the kingdoms of ice and fire, and Asgard (say 'Askr' out loud. Yeah, that straight up blew my mind when I realised**), the realm of the gods (also plays well into the whole einherjar theory from before), but we are missing 2 very important worlds: Midgard and Hel.
Now, you could argue that the various FE worlds that we pull heroes from are ALL Midgard, but, since Midgard is where the Norse people lived and they were aware of these divine realms, it seems weird that these would just be the other FE worlds. So, if we assume there IS a Midgard world, we now have the setting for our new game. And how does the story of Heores play in? Easy. Many years after the events of Heroes are resolved, Niflheim and Muspelheim kick up their old feud and use Midgard as their battleground and you as humans of Midgard, must defend your home from both invading forces. Maybe you strike a deal with the ice kingdom to get them to leave if you help them defeat their hated rival, which is complicated some what by the fire kingdom's plan to turn the tide of battle: resurrecting the god-king Surtr. Yeah, now you see how Heroes fits in.
Okay, that deals with Midgard, but what about Hel? We may have actually already seen it: the Embliam Empire. Well, the proto version of it anyway. Think about it. We keep running into the problem that Askr opens portals and Embliam just swoops in after to make use of them. There isn't really any way to stop them, unless you cut them off entirely. Like, say, by locking them in another world/dimension with the aid of a rouge member of Embliam royalty to shut the gate and seal them in. But, we have already seen that they can make use of 'einherjar'. They just need a source, something like their own summoner.
This next part is REALLY stretching it, but just go with it for a bit. Alright, now, it would seem really odd for this GIANT battle to be taking place on Midgard and the 'Gods' (Askrians) to be doing nothing. Unless, of course, they recognised this as the start of Ragnarok and have been preparing for battle. Ooooone problem though; the giant battle with ice and fire was supposed to be filling their halls with great warrior einherjar and almost NONE have come. They step in to help quell the fire and ice war to try and figure out what is going on, only to realize that this has all be orchestrated by the captive royals of Hel so that THEY could claim the einherjar and use them to bust out of their dimensional prison and take back Askr, Midgard, and any place else they darn well feel like.
It actually works out rather nicely as that sort of two-part war thing that a couple FE games have going for them. And, yeah, it takes a LOT of inspiration from the other FE games I have played, but I still think it makes for a really compelling story. It also sets up a boss battle near the end where you have to fight all of the units and allies you have lost over the course of the game, because I am cruel and because, FE, if you are going to have perma-death, you might as well play with it, dang it.
TL;DR - RAGNAROK
Anyway, those are my current 3 theories on FEH. Please let me know what you think. :)
**Note: consulting the wiki shows that Askr and Embliam are actually derived from the names of the first man and woman in Norse mythology, but my argument is still fairly valid. This also maybe implies that the evil dragon god of the Embliam Empire might actually be female, which would be kind of cool.

FEH Theory 2
Disclaimer: I mention one thing about Fire Emblem Echoes, that is literally brought up in the opening cinematic for the game/the first 5 minutes of the game and one thing from Awakening that you probably wouldn't even know unless you played a bunch of the original games or otherwise looked it up on a wiki. If you would consider either of these things a spoiler, this is your spoiler warning. Okay, now on to the theory.
A thing that has been bugging me for a while is how GOOD the story is for Heroes Book 2. Like, the world and original characters they made for it are pretty detailed for a mobile game. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but it is kind of weird for what is basically a place holder until the new game for the Switch comes out (btw, my current theory on that is they plan to release info on it at E3). Especially since they burned the 'world based on Norse mythology' card to do it. Like, you only have so many awesome mythology cards to play. Then, it hit me. What if Heroes Book 2 is telling the back story for Fire Emblem Switch?
Hear me out. In Echoes, you get this blurb in the beginning about how there was a big war between Duma and Mila and then they reached an accord. What if Book 2 is the Switch version of the Duma/Mila story and the events of the Switch game take place several thousand years later, like in Awakening, just to seperate itself from the characters we in Heroes are coming to know and love? That would also give them some wiggle room to keep making stories with Heroes after the fact. In addition, it explains why they have been so hush-hush about the Switch game. If the 2 are tied together, releasing the Switch info too early might spoil the Heroes story. In the end, this would give kind of a Marvel cinematic universe sort of thing, where you can just play the Switch game as a stand alone, but, if you have also played Heroes, you get little clues and Easter eggs as to what is really going on.
Alright, I realize all of that is kind of a stretch, but you can make it less of one by trying to figure out what story the developers would want to tell in the Switch game that Heroes could be setting up for. After all, there is a rule in writing that you should always ask yourself 'is this the most interesting story I could be telling from this world/character's life? If not, why aren't I telling that story?' So, is there such a story for this world they have presented us. Yes, yes there is. And I will cover that in my next theory! Stay tuned!
TL;DR - Theory: Book 2 from Heroes is the set up for the Fire Emblem game coming to the Switch.

FEH Theory 1
First theory I had a while ago, but I still think is kind of neat. Obviously, the Kingdom of Askr and the other original story and characters for Heroes are strongly influenced by Norse mythology. There are any number of way the actual summoning aspect of the game could work from a story perspective, but, if we take into account the Norse influence, you end up with a pretty cool one: einherjar.
For those who might not be as familiar with Norse mythology, einherjar is the term for the spirits of the warrior dead who are brought to the land of the gods to train and prepare for Ragnarok, the end of the world. And what is Fire Emblem as a series known for, other than being awesome? Perma-death. The heroes you summon are all the spirits of warriors who died in their respective game. This still plays well with the different worlds and realities and such, but it also helps to explain why perma-death isn't a thing in Heroes, since you can't kill what is functionally a ghost. From a story perspective specifically. Obviously perma-death doesn't work mechanically because it is a Gacha game, but the story is what I am concerned about.
One last thing to add to this element is that you, as the summoner and the one who brings the heroes to this world, are playing the role of the valkyrie. Whether you were changed into a valkyrie as part of the ritual that brought you here or if Breidablik simply bestows the powers upon you, you are bringing forth the einherjar regardless.
And, yes, this theory kind of falls apart when the Askr trio and the other characters from their world get involved, but maybe they are intended to be divine or semi divine? After all, if we are summoning forth einherjar, it implies we are in Asgard, the realm of the gods. According to the wiki, Askr and Embliam are derived from the names first man and woman in Norse mythology, but, if you say it out loud, Askr does sound an awful lot like Asgard. It is possible that they were going for a double meaning on that one.
TL;DR - Theory: you are a valkyrie and the heroes you summon are einherjar.
Like I said in the first post, I imagine other people have had this theory, but I wanted to put it out there in case they haven't. Please give me you thoughts and opinions on it. I am by no means an expert on Norse mythology or FEH. So, I am sure there is something I missed.

Okay, I doubt anyone will actually see this, but I have come up with a couple theories for FEH. I have to assume someone has come up with them before, but who knows? Maybe they will be something new and exciting for people. Only way to find out is to post them! So, expect those here soon.

Obligatory Tharja Discussion
So, I just want to get this out of the way.
I am not a fan of Tharja. I don't understand why as many people like her as they do. THAT BEING SAID, I don't approve of anyone being mean to Tharja likers. During the Devotion gauntlet, I had to Google what 'thot' was and I was like 'wtf?'. Yeah, that was kind of much guys (also didn't really make sense from an insult perspective).
So, yeah, I will like or reblog stuff like the 'evil has been defeated' meme because it is funny and I think it is nice that neither Tharja nor Camilla won, but ONLY because they already won a gauntlet each. No shade, I just want want new winners (and I like me some Azura obviously).
So, yeah, in short: this is a game. Everyone has favorites and least favorites. Just, don't be jerks about it. I try not to be at least.
Edit: Forgot to mention that I actually really like the W!Tharja. I didn't get her, but a friend did and said her dialogue is kind of adorable. I also think it is very humanizing and kind of insightful on her character that she is so disconnected from normal society that she thinks wearing a swimsuit for a winter holiday costume is 'normal'. Just wanted to add that.
