About Me !
Hi there !
My name is Louie Wood and I'm a second year student studying Film at Edinburgh Napier and I'm specialising in Sound Recording and Sound Designing.
I have had the amazing opportunity to work on several short films over the past few years, in and outside of university. And throughout the making of those films, sound has really inspired me to develop as a filmmaker and I love the creative freedom that sound can be sourced from
For my films I use, and am familiar with, industry standard software, Pro Tools. On set I work with Napier provided equipment including MixPre3s and MKH50s and MKH416 mics.
Outside of filmmaking, I'm also a drummer and have a deep love for any song that's way too fast and complicated for me to play. I'm also a digital artist and have my own drawing tablet (which I use to create animatics for my films). And finally I love photography, in particularly portraits as I love the way faces can tell a great story from a single image.
