August 8, 2025. 119-122 Line of Action. 30 Minute Class Mode Warm ups. The thing everyone says to do and yet so hard to commit to do. I think I was able to focus a bit better in today's session. Turn off the brain and just draw for a bit.

[First] [Prev] Day 11 - Second Obstacle "Peculiar Puzzle" With a broken arm and a fractured spirit, Isabelle leaves the Snow Drop’s Witch’s snowboretum. She studies day and night in the hopes of understanding the spell to bring back her beloved. She looks at Mortimer once more before beginning the incantation. (Annnnnd this all of my work from this story. If you were following along, thank you! It means a lot!)

[First] [Prev] - Journey Thru June Day 10 Cooking Up Friendship Isabelle's new familiar companion defeats the Boba Wedding Cake Monster by pecking its eyes out. Isabelle is exhausted and her arm is broken. She decides to join the bird in eating the cake. Afterall, she never got to eat her own wedding cake.

[First] [Prev] -[Next] Journey Thru June Day 09 Suitable Savior Isabelle is thrown and hits the bookshelf. Books falling around her as she hits the ground. She tries to defend herself by casting her own magic vines from the ground. But the Boba Cake Monster slurps them up. Isabelle desperately uses a nearby spell book to summon a familiar. A dove that shines like gold appears holding a red ribbon. The dove dives towards the Boba Cake Monster's eye.

[First] [Prev] - [Next] Journey Thru June Day 08 - Sticky Situation The bubbling boba cauldron rumbles from side to side before suddenly stopping. Something emerges. It grows large and larger, encompassing Isabelle in its shadow. Its a-- Its a--- Its a large boba wedding cake. Its an ANGRY large boba wedding cake.

Day 07 Confusing Loot Isabelle reads the book that the witch left on the table. She fixes herself up a BIG cup of boba tea. But as Isabelle studies the book, she realizes that she will need answers from the Snow Drop Witch. She is going to need to preserve the head until she can figure out how to gain the more knowledge.

[First] [Previous] - [Next] Day 06 First Obstacle Isabelle arrives at the Snow Drop's Witch's snowboretum. The shelves are lined with more books than Isabelle could possibly read. That is when she notices, the Snow Drop Witch is already beheaded. Someone else must have gotten to the witch before Isabelle.

[First] [Previous] - [Next] Day 05 - Journey Begins After retrieving Mortimer from his grave, Isabelle begins her journey in the dead of night.

[First] [Previous] - [Next] Day 04 Answer's Aftermath Isabelle isn't entirely without magic. She had family members that use to practice magic. There may be a way to undo what has been done. But how can Isabelle leave Mortimer behind?

Day 03 Answering The Call Isabelle holds onto Mortimer for his last moments. Mortimer is-was the light of her life. She looks up at the one who stole it all, The Snowdrop Witch.

[Previous] - [Next] Day 02: Call To Adventure As Isabelle and Mortimer join hands ready to start their new life together. Ice rises forth and pierce Mortimer, stealing his heart and taking his life.

I'm going to be reblogging last year's Journey Thru June Art Challenge that I did. I didn't finish the challenge but working on it meant a lot to me. I really enjoyed the challenge and it was fun to flesh out Isabelle's story.

I'm still working on the Journey Thru June art challenge. But I just wanted to share some of the quick sketches I did. Isabelle's design being based around a Sweet Pea flower was something I was pretty confident in knowing what I wanted in looks. Isabelle's husband, Mortimer; I had no idea what he looked like. Sweet Peas and Pansies usually grow together in the spring. I have a Victorian Language of Flowers Book that state the meaning behind Pansy is, "You occupy my thoughts" So yeah I did my best to give Mortimer a design based around the flower Pansy.

July 9th, 2025. 93-96 Line of action 30 minute class mode. Gesture studies. I'm trying to find my flow again. I've been trying to empty my head while drawing but lately, all I'm thinking about is how much my head isn't empty and how I can't focus. I feel like I can see the lack of focus in these drawings. But I might be too hard on myself. It might just be one of those days...... P.S. I do like how the 9 minute drawing came out. Blocky hand and feet make me smile.

Last year (2024) I wanted to do another drawing of my partner and I as mermaids. I never got to finish it but I do enjoy the soft kissness of the doodle

Yesterday was @branimation ‘s birthday. He’s a wonderful man who fills my days with love. I’m looking forward to spending many more birthdays together! <3

May 27, 2024. 267. Dr. Donut often talks about her fellow mermaid friends. (Since she is totally a mermaid as well, she can breathe underwater.....so Mermaid.)
