Self-Date Saturday
So I started doing this thing last week. I decided that since I need to practice some self-love I would do it the same way I'd love another person, by taking them on a date.
So for this week's date I did the following:
♥Wore a little eye makeup even tho idk how to use makeup.
♥Took myself out to eat lunch at a local restaurant. I had steak, fries & macaroni and cheese and oh my god it was so good. But I could only eat half so I took the rest home for dinner.

♥Went to the local metaphysical shop and bought things that I didn't need but were very cute. *rainbow to censor my town lol.

♥ I Went to a little boutique and bought presents for myself there too.

♥Took a pleasant little walk around my neighborhood.
♥Came home and chilled in comfortable clothes and watched TV.
♥And finally, I ended my date by baking the chocolate chip Betty Crocker muffin top things. They are delicious.
All in all I had a really good time. 10/10 would date me again.

This blog is new, so nobody knows me yet, but the short story is this:
I've been suffering from PTSD/ depression / anxiety/ and very intense self-hatred. I have also been morbidly obese since about 14. At the end of june, I was 310 pounds. I decided at the beginning of July that I needed to get help, and so I began to go to therapy.
In such a short amount of time, it has changed my life so much! I wish I had done it years ago!
I created this blog so I could have a place to post and record my improvement and development into a much happier and healthier person.
I was inspired to do this when I was telling my therapist how lonely and unsupported I felt because I decided to buy a bicycle, and the people around me were being negative about it.
She told me that I inspired HER to go out and also buy a bicycle! She said that she had been thinking about it for years and she kept talking herself out of it but this weekend she's going bike shopping and I'm so happy!
This made me realize that when I do things to help myself I can end up inspiring others to do the same and not even know it. So I figured why not put my progress out to the world? Maybe no one will see my posts or care. But maybe one person will see them and go "Oh! I can do that too!" Either way I'm good with it.
I'm going to make it a goal to blog at least once a week minimum but I'll probably do it more than that.
