That hadn’t really been the reaction that Rokku had been expecting. Honestly, they didn’t really know what had come over them when the words had blurted out of their mouth, but Kacchan saying that they could try whenever they wanted definitely hadn’t been the response they thought they’d get.

For a long moment, all they could do was stare at him and blush furiously. What was it about Kacchan that made them say things like that? So bold and open and stupid. Except not stupid at all, apparently, because Kacchan said they could try it whenever they wanted. Rokku didn’t really know what to do with that information.

Except they did. Of course they did. There was only one thing to do with information like that, and so Rokku gathered all of the courage they could find in their skinny body, shifted back a little from their cuddle and pressed a soft little kiss against Kacchan’s lips.

And if their courage then fled them and they buried their head against Kacchan’s neck to hide their flaming cheeks? No one had to know that.

“Uhm,” they mumbled, squeezing their eyes shut and trying to think of something smooth to say, to find their previous confidence. “Did...did it work?”
