I sometimes cry when I paint.

I tried to translate some artwork’s titles taken from the index of old xian’s artbook. While some are pretty basic (”Red head”, “New year’s picture”….), a few others are more meaningful and tell us a bit more about the context of the picture.

黑色幕布下 (under the black curtain): refers to the small paragraph that accompanies the illustration in the artbook (”behind the black curtain, i avoided everyone’s sight, but bumped into you”.)

非常朋克 (very punk)

度假 (vacation): we can assume they went on a trip together hence the suitcase. the zhanyi one is titled “weekend”.

类似荷尔蒙 (hormone-like): not quite sure about that one but oh well.

安慰 (comfort): tian is basically guan shan’s source of comfort.

囚 (prisoner): not really surprised by this one. the pic gives off that vibe very well.

戒指 (ring)
