He was to follow in his father’s footsteps to achieve the same path: However, a great tragedy struck when his mother passed away in an accident when he was younger. The death alone wasn’t the trigger to his new resolve—but he learned that accident was not an accident and that his father was the one behind it all. He starts by joining the newly formed Shinjuku Special Defense Force aka Shinjuku Chōkai Tokushubutai , as he succeed in his rank as vice commander. Anima and their Origins
ANIMA comes from latin meaning: “soul.” They gave this name the stones after being discovered by the science and research team that Professor Lucesco and Dr. Exitium were the leaders of that project, The discovery of these stones was found on an isolated planet called Zeon N2R.
It has been rumored that the planet has fallen under many circumstances. The civilization collapsed and the race almost entirely wiped out. Only a few survivors migrated to other places, but their race perished. It was known as the Great Disaster in the galaxy of Aristaeus in their history.
The team went to salvage anything they could use to help their planet. The stumbles upon an ancient sanctuary and that’s when they found several strange stones. These stones looked ordinary at glance, but gave off a strange radiation once someone got close it. Most of the stones were shattered, but the ones they found seems to be in good conditions.
Once the team returned, they began to do deep studying and research on these stones. Where did they come from? Who created them? But the secret they were trying to unlock was their power and their source. From their findings, these stones reacts to souls or living sources. The planet itself seems to act as a generator and these were the componetents that powers it. The Vims believe they finally found away to save their planet that was slowly decaying.
Little did they know, they would repeat the Great Disaster, but in the form of war. The power of these stones shouldn’t never reached their hands. Professor Lucesco discovered the potential dangers of using these stones, but she ignored the warning and the project NUMINE continued this launch.

chancestander:

“What? It was only for an hour!… Or two. But it wasn’t three, haven’t gone that far before. That much I recall for sure.”
The cosmic contender scratched his head, and scrambled to climb out of his hammock with a spin, before it finally spit him out. The time had come once again– much like the last person in the line-up for picking team members to play in a ball game on the schoolyard, for Rex to lend his efforts to render aid onto another!
“Task particulars before discussing the bill, Professor.”
There was no doubt that Lucesco’s payment would be adequate, the two of them had probably gone over that before. So it wasn’t just an estimate Rex was making. He was genuinely prioritizing trying to understand the exact nature of the problem she had on her hands.
“Gimme as much info as possible in regards to what needs doing– if it’s something major, after all.”
The mission itself was dangerous, but someone like Rex could handle it. The extremely threatening menaces she would handle on her own. He doesn’t have the power of the Anima stowed within him like Jupiter Stealth, but he can prove his own feat, it’s not like she’ll let him go alone. She will come along as observe him and treat this as a “test” of his abilities. Words of one of endeavours can easily an easy misconception, she would have see the truth of herself of this “legendary hero” that Miss Kuromoto spoke of.
“There is an attack of abyssal creatures located in a special ward somewhere in America. So far, their troops or warriors haven’t be able to eradicate it. So they classified it as a C-Ranked threat. While it’s not overly threatening, it’s powerful enough to cause trouble for someone with average abilities.”
Taking on the monsters will be considered an impressive achievement with someone at his skill level. Of course, she was also recording this data for her own research purposes. This will help aid herself for her own mission. While she can’t be on the frontline, she can aid with what data she secured over the years.
“So, now that you know the minor details, are you willing to take this? You are free to decline since this can be life-threatening.”

do you feel up for a visitor?
glad to see you’re feeling better.
bad dreams again? do you want something to help you sleep?
dumbshit.
i promised her i’d be home for her birthday.
the important thing is to remain cool and unemotional.
that’s because i blew it out the goddamn airlock!
you had them eating out of your hand, kiddo.
they had their minds made up before i even went in there.
have a doughnut.
i catch either of you there again, i’ll tan your hides.
holy shiiiiit!
we’re trained to deal with this type of situation.
it’s a second chance, kiddo.
and you, my dear, are staying right here.
i’m getting too old for this shit.
they ain’t paying us enough for this.
what’s this crap supposed to be?
it’s good for you, boy. eat it.
do the thing with the knife.
c’mon, quit messing around.
alright, knock it off, knock it off.
that wasn’t funny, man.
what do you want me to do, fetch your slippers for you?
got a corncob up his ass, definitely.
fuck you.
i’ll put it on your tab.
well, somebody’s gonna have to go out there.
how do i get out of this chickenshit outfit?
dead on all channels.
i am the ultimate badass! state of the badass art! you do not want to fuck with me!
the structure seems intact. they have power.
looks like my room in college.
you heard the man and you know the drill.
pendejo jerkoff.
poor bastard.
you fuck!
it’s okay, it’s okay. it’s over… you’re going to be all right now… it’s okay… you’re safe…
poor thing. you don’t talk much do you?
most people do a lot of talking but end up saying nothing.
hard to believe there’s a little girl underneath all this dirt.
you’re one brave kid.
you’ll be gone soon, just like all the others. you’ll be dead and you’ll leave me alone.
i don’t want to be your friend.
i won’t leave you. i promise.
cross your heart?
stop your grinnin’ and drop your linen!
hey. behave.
these people are here to protect you.

don’t make me pull rank.
we’re going home, honey.
we’re all gonna die, man.
we’re in some real pretty shit, now!
maybe we could build a fire and sing songs.
now, you just lie here and have a nap. you’re exhausted.
my mom always says there were no monsters. no real ones. but there are.
why do they tell little kids that?
some kids can’t handle it like you can.
i’ll just be right in the other room.
that is the question of the hour.
you sent them out there and you didn’t even warn them.
you know, i… i expected more from you. i thought you’d be smarter than this.
bad call? those people are fucking dead!
sorry to disappoint you.
i like to keep this handy… for close encounters.
how long since you slept? twenty-four hours?
i can handle myself.
you still want to kill me?
there, there. shhh. it’s alright.
i’m scared.
i say we grease this rat-fuck son of a bitch right now!
you’re dogmeat, pal.
now, if you’re smart, we can both come out of it as heroes and we’ll be set up for life.
well, i’m gonna make sure they nail you right to the wall for this! you’re not gonna sleaze your way out of this one! right to the wall!
fuckin’ a!

@cadcnce asked: "Remind me again how long it's going to take to break into this mainframe? Feeling like I should have packed a game or something. We still got places to be and like three more doors to go." Wylan wipes a small bit of blood and checks the grip on his weapon. A few hiccups aside, it was still a nonlethal infiltration.
The Professor knew that time is of the essence, but she also knew techology was complex. The security of this place was well established, even breaking in and fighting past the guard was a bit of a feat, but they accomplished their task. Now Midnight was finishing up the difficult part, however, as she expected—even hacking into their mainframe was arduous, but not impossible.
“Approximately fifteen minutes, so you have to buy me a bit more time. I have high hopes you can protect me. I will be unable to defend myself while my focus is to get in. This mission will be a success. Trust in my abilities, you did hire me to get this job done did you not?”
If anything, she could be confident in was her ability to get around this. Compared to the tech back from her old planet, this wasn’t much a headache. Just a matter of breaking down the code, getting the password wasn’t required for her with this method. She’ll basically reprogram their systems and be able to hijack with it before they could take control.
“Looks like they already caught on to our plans, you know what to do from here. I’ll let you know once I’m done.”

pastballads:
“I didn’t know you were back…” The boy mumbled to himself as he swiveled around on the chair to face his adoptive mother. She wasn’t around much, being busy with whatever it was that science types like her did. Any other kid would start feeling neglected after a while. Kouki, though, fell back on old habits whenever she was gone. This was the second chance he gave her, and while she was far from a perfect mother, at least she was trying this time around…. even if “trying” in this case was coming home occasionally to give him gifts.
At least he was independent enough to make a day out of a misadventure in the mountains.
“I… don’t know how to program AI? I’m, like, thirteen and my go-to option when something technical starts acting up is to either smack it or blow air into it to get the dust out. But it would be pretty cool to have a robot for a friend… well, the idea is cool, anyway.”
The boy’s lack of skill with coding aside, the idea seemed decent on paper, and perhaps basing his assumptions off of trope-filled media like games and shows wasn’t the best way to think about ideas, yet his mind couldn’t help wandering to the possible ways that having an artificial friend could backfire. Some outcomes were obviously more entertaining than others. Though really, how could he consider something a friend when it would be made specifically to be buddy-buddy with him? It would just be lifeless code. Simply following orders rather than thinking for itself.
“Really though, you don’t have to find someone to keep me company. I just… I dunno, I just wish I had a friend with the same interests as me, I guess? But enough with my complaining, you’ve got gifts, and I’ve got bottomless curiosity, so what’d you get me?”
The Professor forgotten that Kouki wasn’t adapted in an environment where technological knowledge was supreme. He lacked a social etiquette on top of it all. How can she adjust a child used to living in the wilderness? This will take more than just a few lessons of teaching—that is if she can gain his attention span to teach him his lessons. Maybe she should hire a tutor? She knew that Mercurius was once a teacher. Maybe she should hand Kouki in his care for lessons?
“It already programmed for those who aren’t adequate in technology, all you will have to is issue it commands and it’ll automatically go from there. I know of a colleague who created an android that could develop emotions and an independent mind. Don’t underestimate a capability of an AI.”
Midnight could understand why humans feared Artificial Intelligent beings, they can surpass human knowledge and efficiency. However, the chances of an AI turning on its Master is slim—unless their Master gave the AI a reason to turn against them. Abuse, neglect, and other factors are normally the reason. However, she didn’t return to see her son to just debate about AI.
“I apologize for now being around as much for giving you attention. However, I finish the work I needed to be done, so for now, you and I can take this time to get to know each other more.”
There was an unbridled guilt within her—but she wouldn’t speak upon it. Her work was finished the resources and research will help her put an end to the disasters caused by Noctis, but she knew it would pay a price for it all, but it will be worth it to get rid of the nightmare that plagued and wedge war for years.
“Well, remember those shoes you mentioned you wanted last year? After many testings and successful developments, I was able to get them completed.” Midnight smiled whilst offering him a box with the content of the mentioned device inside. “This should keep you preoccupied and it also would help stabilize your abilities as well. Also, I got you a communication device, so you can contact me when I am away on business.”

𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐃𝐍'𝐓 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑 𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐘 𝐔𝐏𝐎𝐍 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒, rather he’d devote the passing ticks to tinkering with an old plating he found in an antique microwave. Seafoam colored optics stare at the onyx plate before pupils dilate into the shape of crosshairs——taking in the makeup comprised beneath the erosion. ❛ 235U …239Pu … these are in fact antique to later designs. ❜ murmurs the ALCHETECH mechanic to himself. He’d hardly the time to make for introductory conduct, catching traces of compound fissures that he’s never experienced before on a human plane. ELEMENT 98, something that was seldom known among mortals ( unless artficially conjured )——typically atomic bodies seen in the spectrae of stars or supernovae being the only entities that could natually radiate such an element; was heavily potent in the woman whom appeared——among the region of her obscurely fashioned hair. ❛ Ah~ ? Yet another exhibit of STELLAE NUCLEI. ❜ Speaks the goggle-adorned male, gesturing a gloved hand over to fish for the lightning drive he collectively archived the information from the other’s Super Computer. His words weren’t the least bit considerate, nor did he intentionally provide bite. All he witnessed before was a commission and a study to conduct. ❛ Considering your kind, your antique would have found its wear in another half-life of 60 years——much like the plating of this deposit here. ❜ He stated, gesturing back over to the disk-like plate he was working on prior. ❛ Your better interest is to compose something that won’t leak its properties much like the CHERNOBYL incident … or something. ❜ Worse case scenario, if Mercury were nearly within proximity of her lab during the shadow period of his retrogrades, he may have caused for a Nuclear explosion. Given the atomic make-up of this woman exceeding boundaries of what he deemed earthly, he retires his eyes and turns back to tinkering with his plate. ❛I guess some good came from abdicating your prior self, but the make-up doesn’t lie.❜
It was cumbersome being under the eyes of inspection from someone outside her contact. Midnight felt threatened by the other—anyone with the name IL Vuoto should be take with precautions in her eyes. They had abilities that exceed her expectation and this one was able to see her molecular make up.
Exposing the secrecy of her origins prior to becoming a scientific researcher. It was no secret she was a lifeform from another planet, but the origins of her divinity wasn’t something she wanted known. But she also feels she could trust him because of who his family is. The IL Vutoto also held secrets of the unknown that would be considered a threat to others who obtained the knowledge of their alchemy.
Regardless, it made her feel as if he undressed her soul, unveiling the vulnerable parts she desired to suppress. Her hands slides in the pockets of her lab coat, her expression narrowed in a vacant glare—lacking any visibility of her annoyance. Her tone betrayed her apathetic composure.
“I did not hire you to analysis me,” Midnight resorts, her back immediately turns on the mechanic. “Just finish your job and I’ll pay you accordingly.”
The professor made note of his observation in regards of her machinery. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have access to the same resources that she used back at home. The technology on earth was less advance and she couldn’t dispute his insight, he knew what he was doing. Hopefully, he won’t be too much of a bother.
“I’ll bear your suggestion in mind, I appreciate your service, Mr. Rocinante.”

“I mean, I’d rather hear the bad news first. Maybe the good news could be something worth following up with.“
“The bad news is that I couldn’t find anyone else that could take the commission you requested. My two usual contacts are already sent out on a mission elsewhere. The good news is I shall accompany you. My expertise extends far than just astrology and biology. I’m very well proficient in self-defense if combat is unavoidable.”
Team Stealth Bomber had more on their hands than she could throw on them. Besides their mission was of greater importance than this person. Still, she’ll offer her aid where it was needed. So far, this could be a chance to expand her alliances with others in need of it.
“You can choose to refuse or decline my offer, but I doubt you’ll get in contact anyone willing to help you with your case.”
