Pizza and Resume!

Hi Luds! 

It’s been stressful lately ay? My fellow RAs and I tried to do our best to destress everybody during the finals season. Here’s a recap! 

RA Nick and I hosted our last “Elevate U” program series. We thought we would go all out, and hand out everybody’s favorite food (pizza) in the elevator. We were too busy handing them out due to high demand, and didn’t have a chance to take photo during the program, besides this.: 

The second program of that week was the resume workshop with RA Sy! 

Although not that many people showed up, but RA Sy and I was determined to hand out those professional packages we made. We knocked on some doors and walked around the building to hand out our material. I hope everyone find it helpful with our aggressive support :)

The second and third installments of the Consent Trilogy! We signed a giant consent pledge, got cool prizes, and answered questions about consent!

Scriptwriting Program with RA Christine! We had a great time learning about the format and process of writing a screenplay for film. Snacks were had!

We had our Ludlow Study Group last sunday! Peter Muccioli brought some amazing brownies and we all tried to deal with the crushing weight of our end of the semester projects! :)

The League of Legends LAN Party program: Round 2 was also very fun! We had 2v2 game matches and the winners won 10$ worth of riot points on League! We also had a (horrible and small) overwatch table for people who wanted to play overwatch, but sadly no one played overwatch that night ;)

The first League of Legends LAN Party was really busy and really awesome! The president of the League of Legends club gave away free skins, and we had pizza!

Thank you every one who was able to come pet the best dang dog in the world! We had lots of fun and we definitely plan on having the therapy dogs visit Ludlow again in the future. We wouldn’t have ever been able to do this program without the amazing help of Student health and Counseling and New York Therapy Animals, and a special thank you to the softest little pup, April! Next time we’ll bring more Cheerios.

On March 13, RA Corinne and RA Alexis held a registration mixer for students in the community room. Residents learned from their peers what classes they should/shouldn’t take, how to use the MyServices website to sign up for courses and mingle with people from other majors.

On March 16th, residents came down to the basement to use some gemstones for relaxation during this stressful time of year. Everyone had a great time and made little baggies of the stones that they felt drawn to. We even made a rainbow out of them!

Fargo Season 3 Premiere Date Announced!

FINALLY! the premiere date for FX’s original show Fargo has been announced for Wednesday April 19. This will be the 3rd season of this brilliant show. If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend it and season 1 is currently streaming on Hulu. Haven’t seen the movie? I also highly recommend you watch it, but it’s not necessary to understanding the show. Much like American Horror story, every season of Fargo takes place in a different time period and are stand alone stories.
