“Yeah, yeah good morning.” He grumpily grumbled out. At the older boy’s next words, Lucas sat up a bit. “Wait, can you actually do that?”

“You did, but I brought popcorn since I saw you sleeping here earlier. How do you not notice people screaming LUNCH LUNCH around you?”

“Oh, bless you.” Lucas extended his hands out, ready to catch the bag of popcorn from the younger girl. “Is that what they were saying? In my dream it translated to ‘MUNCH, MUNCH’. The dream was about zombies.”

&. BIOGRAPHY

Lucas Moreno is not quite sure where he stands on the whole Riddle’s Children-Anti-magi-The Rebels spectrum. At first, all he knew was that he was terrified. Riddle’s Children were like a terrorist organisation; murders, public attacks, assassinations - the list goes on. However, despite all the destruction going on around him, Lucas knew his pureblood status meant he was immune to the worst of it. And then the Anti-Magi group came onto the scene and Lucas was no longer immune. His fear made him loathe the muggles for turning his life upside down. Lucas hated them for ruining his life, hated them for targeting his kind and above all, hated them for making his mother, sister and himself a target. If given the chance, there is no doubt that before Lucas came to Hogwarts, he would have jumped at the opportunity to push a big red button that eradicated muggles from this Earth forever; the extinction of a species. And, he would not have had any regrets.  But, then he went to Hogwarts and he made friends. Friends, that were muggles and surprisingly, were good people. People he would entrust both his and his sister’s life with. So now, Lucas’ rethinking whether siding with Riddle’s Children was the best decision he ever made.

Even though Lucas was only four, he can still remember the petrified terror he felt when his mother told his sister and him that they had to hide, as if the whole ordeal had only just occurred yesterday. His fear made him loathe the muggles for turning his life upside down. Lucas hated them for ruining his life and above all, hated them for making his mother, sister and himself a target. If given the chance, there is no doubt that before Lucas came to Hogwarts, he would have jumped at the opportunity to push a big red button that eradicated muggles from this Earth forever; the extinction of a species. And, he would not have had any regrets. But, then he went to Hogwarts and he made friends. Friends, that were muggles and surprisingly, were good people, people he would entrust both his and his sister’s life with. So now, Lucas’ rethinking whether siding with Riddle’s Children was the best decision he ever made.

Lucas, was only four when his father died; killed by the Anti-Magi. It is difficult to remember someone you only knew for a short time, much less keep loving them as fiercely as you once did. Overtime, Lucas found the memory of his father faded. At first, it was only his father’s voice that got a little sketchy, but then his face became a little blurry and it gradually only got worse. Now, Lucas clings on to the last memory of his father, or rather, of a man who - he thinks - vaguely resembles him. Unfortunately, it is the memory of when Lucas caught a glimpse of him, laying at rest, blood soaking his father’s clothes with his wand laying by his side. Having to revisit that moment over and over is tough, but Lucas is determined not to let go of the last remaining memory he has of his father.

Lucas has a sister, not that anyone would ever know it from a first glance at the two. And technically speaking, they would be quite right to assume the two are unrelated, because they are. A year before his birth, Lucas’ mother came across an abandoned baby lying in an empty trash can, picked it up and took it home. Needless to say, his father was more than surprised when he arrived home to find a newborn lying in the living room. Regardless, the Moreno’s took in the child and raised it as their own, never treating it any less when Lucas - their own child - was born a year later. Mathilda’s past has never bothered Lucas, nor has how she became a part of the family. To him, Mathilda has just been a constant in his life: his partner-in-crime from when they could both walk, the girl he would play games with, the person who helped him with his troubles. Mathilda has always been his sister, and Lucas could not give a damn about being blood-related or not.

Lucas Moreno is a friendly and well-known face throughout Hogwarts, although he is not incapable of working the bad boy charm if he ever wants to. In fact, there can be many sides to Lucas depending on his mood and the person. The way in which he acts around those closest to him is more teasing than to others. However, true to his house, whoever he is with and regardless of whatever side of him you see, Lucas’ generous nature always shines through. That and his flirting, which can sometimes be misconstrued as arrogance if he takes it a little too far. True, you could call him a bit of a womaniser or playboy, but Lucas’ too kind to intentionally hurt the girl and he always makes sure she gets to her room safely at the end of the night. Fun-loving, optimistic and a comic-books enthusiast, it is almost as if Lucas and Alex were destined to be best friends.

&. RELATIONSHIPS

MATHILDA KIPLING. Mathilda and Lucas are close but there is no denying that since coming to Hogwarts, Lucas’ friendship with Alex has developed to the point where Lucas would consider him a brother. After witnessing Mathilda’s affections for his best friends, Lucas had mixed feelings about it. And then after they got in a relationship? Not only was it weird having his sister and best friend dating but more importantly, Mathilda was a witch and Alex was a muggle. Lucas made Alex break off their relationship under the pretence of it being weird for him and also that it would only end up in heartbreak, what with Mathilda’s commitment issues and fear of a failed relationship.

ALEXANDER DARCY. The batman to his robin, or vice versa depending on whether Alex or Lucas place first dibs on batman. Alexander and Lucas are as close as two people can get without the relationship turning romantic. Swapping comic books, video games, the two really just be nerds together and have a helluva time. There for each other no matter what, and Lucas always makes sure to look out for Alex with his panic attacks. Alex and Lucas really are best friend goals.

SARAH DARCY. Sarah and Lucas have a weird relationship. Usually, it is usually just a hella lot of flirty banter between them, mostly on Lucas’ part. He does things with a lot of girls, but maybe it is just the fact that Sarah is seemingly unattainable to him that makes him want her. Or maybe it isn’t. Whatever is causing these feelings is irrelevant though, because every time he starts thinking ‘what if’, he has to remind himself of his sister and Alex; magical folk shouldn’t start falling for muggles.
