i struggled with time anxiety really bad as a child and as i get older ive noticed it’s way more common than i thought. that guttural dread on a Sunday night, the drowning feeling you get when you wake up and have work at 5pm so you can’t do anything else that day. showing up to doctors appointments 30 minutes early just to sit in the waiting room for an hour.

life is short. stay up late even if you have to wake up early. get to appointments 2 minutes late. go to the gym before work. clock in at 5:03. take your time eating. lay in bed if you want. how fast you move today doesn’t make tomorrow come any earlier. it’s so freeing to not feel time anymore. i’d say that being late was my exposure therapy, and after 2+ years of being late, I can say it has effected me 0 times. not an hour late, just a minute or two. life changing.

i’m at hobby lobby at 1pm on a Monday buying picture frames to frame the photoshopped images of my dogs on American Gothic and the Mona Lisa i made to replace the empty wall in my room from the poster my exboyfriend made for our 1 yr anniversary because we broke up 2 days ago after 3.5 years and I don’t have college classes until 2:40, but why are all these other people at Hobby Lobby at 1pm on a Monday? don’t yall have jobs?
