Every time I hear Thoma’s little voice line when I drag him out to Dragonspine, I have to grin like a giddy little idiot. <3 So, have a lil somethin’ somethin’ because I’m self-indulgent as all hell.
❁
The wind howls viciously with a biting chill that shakes one to the bone, and the sky casts down a white flurry of snowflakes as well. Dragonspine would forever remain a mysterious land, and though many shied away from its dangers, as an adventurer, that luxury would not be extended to you. Through the months of experience, eventually you began to prepare much more thoroughly. From the bundles of coats, the clinking of warming bottles in the pockets, to the warmth of goulash stew before the trip up the trying terrain. Not to forget, a charming companion now accompanied your side, Thoma who beamed as radiantly as a bright sun.
Now though, used to Inazuman weather, his teeth chattered noisily as his gloved hands dug to new depths in his pockets. Occasionally, Thoma would pitifully whimper and beg you to stop near an abandoned campsite to warm up. “We wouldn’t want to catch a cold, after all.” He was always gifted in swaying someone to abide by his wishes when he wanted to, you were certainly no exception. So here you found yourself, warming near a fire at his side, if this wasn’t for work, perhaps it might be more romantic. “This is nice, don’t you think? You, me, and a frigid vacation! The soup was actually pretty nice… maybe I could get that recipe on the way back.”
A disbelieving chuckle left your lips, quirking a brow at the prior question. “Thoma, just half an hour ago you were moping about how you couldn’t feel your fingers. Not to mention you’ve asked me three times already how much longer this would take.”
“Hey! …Okay maybe I did do those things, but still!” Immediately, a pouty look was directed your way, peridot eyes flooded with the intention of gaining some form of pity, specifically in the form of kisses. Though right now, that wouldn’t work so easily, mind fully alert due to the icy tundra. It only took him a few seconds to relent, giving up with a shudder and sigh. “When I asked to go, I was expecting something a little more… mild.” His voice trailed off into a soft chuckle, one you had to roll your eyes at.
“I’ll be sure to make the next mission so mundane and boring you’ll never ask for ‘mild’ again.” The teasing sentence earned a defeated sigh from Thoma. He slumped closer to the fire, head falling onto your shoulders. He was lucky he was so precious, otherwise you would’ve forced him up to continue with the commission. For now though, and only for a short while, you’d allow him to get at least half the feeling in his fingers back.
Twenty minutes passed in comfortable silence, the crackling of the fire dying down slowly, but surely. Neither moved to add another log, and before long, it was Thoma who dragged himself away and upright. “Okay, okay, I guess we should get moving…” With a hum and a stretch, he offered out his hand. “We don’t want to stick around for night, I’m sure it gets way colder here and I don’t want to find out just how cold!” Warm fingers intertwined, and with a soft tug, you were upright and walking in quick strides at the man’s side.
______________________________________________________________
Hours passed, with the commission complete, all that was left was to descend down the mountain. It always felt faster, but it also came riddled with danger. Antsy to get down before the sun could set, your steps were practically skips, an occasional slip as well. “Don't run on the ice... 'cause if you fall down, I won't help you up, you gotta learn somehow.” Thoma’s warning earned a soft scoff and a small hint of a glare.
“How many times do you think I’ve traveled this mountain? I think I can handle my- ahh woAH!” With a careless step on slick ice, your foot slid right out from under you and sent you plummeting onto your back. The movement sent your body sliding down the mountainside, which might have been fun if you couldn’t feel every rock grate against your back and didn’t have to worry about crashing into a tree. With nimble speed and practiced grace, Thoma was able to launch himself into action quick enough, sprinting after your sliding body. The tips of his fingers snagged the fur lining of the hood on your coat and with a sudden jolt, all movement halted, allowing you to catch your breath dangling from the man’s fingers.
“So…” Thoma’s voice came out in a breathless huff, and when looking close enough, there was a trace of worry in his eyes. “How many times exactly have you traveled this mountain?” Such a mocking question received a frown and a snort from you, crossing your arms as you turned your head away from the other. Thoma wasted no time laughing at the childish pout, crossing his own arms after letting go of the fabric of your hood. When you eventually held out your hands, he took them and pulled you up with no reluctance.
“Plenty, Mr. ‘I won’t help you up.’” The returned mockery earned another laugh and a bright smile. Thoma was all talk, when you fell down, he’d always be there to help you back up, both of you knew that well enough. “Now, the sun is setting, let’s hurry down the mountain.”
“This time without falling for me again, right?” His comment earned him a light elbow in the ribs, but the housekeeper still feigned a winded sound for theatrics. His hand grasped yours, pulling it into the pocket of his coat as his thumb lightly swiped over the dorsal side. Though the pace of the walk was quick, there was a sense of sturdiness with your partner at your side, there to steady you on each misstep. Your duo arrived at the camp at the foot of the mountain just as the first stars began to peak out of the sky, twinkling softly with the promise of night.
Thoma wasted no time in ordering two bowls of stew, tugging you lightly to the fireside and beckoning you to indulge in a meal. “Maybe it wasn’t as mundane as I’m used to… but I did enjoy spending time with you today.” The admittance was a quiet whisper, his breath tickling your ear as he gave a charming smile. “But seriously, we need to get you a pair of mountain boots, really, what if you had fallen while I wasn’t there?” There came the mother hen, as per usual.
“Oh please Thoma, I was only rushing because my poor boyfriend is scared of the dark… and the cold apparently.” The remark made the man bump his head lightly into yours, a soft noise of distaste sounding from his throat.
“Am not.” The response was halfhearted, but the both of you knew that the other would much rather spend a day relaxing at home. “How about tomorrow we sleep in late…? I’ll make us breakfast, we can snuggle… Safe under some nice warm blankets.” His voice was wistful just thinking about it, and although you had half of mind to ask about both your respective duties, you decided the world could spare you both one simple morning together.
“Yea… that sounds nice.” Turning your head ever so slightly, you pressed a butterfly kiss against the man’s temple. In an instant, his head turned, peppering your face in kisses like an overly excited puppy, clearly happy to get his way.

Hello! May I ask for scar kisses headcanons for Sylvain, Felix and Dimitri? As in the reader (doesn't matter the gender) just giving the sweet boys kisses to their scars to let them know they think they're beautiful scarred or not c:
A/N: Thank you for such a cute request! I love reassurance based writing, plus these boys need their fair share of love! I hope you enjoy reading these! -Eve
DIMITRI
With how reckless Dimitri had become after the time skip, there’s no surprise he has plenty to show for that wild nature. He keeps them well hidden though, especially the one over his eye.
For the longest time, he wouldn’t allow you to see him without the eye-patch. It didn’t matter how much you reassured him, he would only shake his head softly and pat your head.
“You needn’t see such an awful sight.”
Those words pulled your heart just a little too hard, and often there would be a silent few minutes of you just holding him quietly, trying to speak through actions.
It was an accident when you had seen his eye for the first time. After a long day of patrols, you returned home late at night. Dimitri had assumed you would be missing until the following morning, but you were sent back earlier than normal.
He was sleeping soundly in your shared bed, but as you tiptoed closer, the black patch was missing, showing off the prominent pink stripe sliced over his eye. Your lips pulled into a gentle smile, hand ghosting over the lid of his eye before trailing down his cheek. You leaned down, pressing a light kiss over the battle scar.
There was a noise of surprise when a hand tugged you down onto his chest, his arms wrapping around your frame firmly as he nuzzled into the crown of your head. “My sweet angel… What could I possibly have done to deserve you?”
His words were hardly above a drowsy whisper, and it seemed whether or not you meant to communicate your admiration for him at that moment, it was received loud and clear.
It becomes a tradition for you now, to kiss each and every scar when retiring to rest for the night. Rarely are any words exchanged, but Dimitri always looks as if you’re the most important thing in the world to him when you do this. You are. You mean everything to him.
FELIX
Felix trains relentlessly, not to mention he likes getting close and personal when it comes to battle. He’s had a few close calls, and the Goddess knew you prayed for his safe return relentlessly when he was sent off.
It was always you who was there to bandage him up when he returned home, during battles too if you were permitted to accompany the group. He won’t admit it, but he gets a strange satisfaction in knowing you care enough to worry. It’s the furrow of your brows that makes his heart swell.
Today, you were waiting in bed for him, knowing the man was due to return home from his week-long mission tonight if all was going to plan. Felix certainly didn’t disappoint, the sound of the front door opening and shutting had your feet thumping against the floor as you rushed to see him.
He looks tired and worn down, perhaps a little irritated as well, and you have no doubt a certain redhead is behind that expression. “Felix?” The sound of your voice is what makes his face soften, eyes looking up from the floorboards to find your form.
“[Y/N]... It’s late, you should be sleeping.” His lecture is meant to be stern, but it’s said far too soft to come off as such. When you come in for a hug, you’re quick to pick up on the smallest flinch when your fingers brush over his left shoulder. When you pull back to give him your own stern expression, he looks a tad guilty.
“You’re hurt.” He knows the routine, sighing and sitting in the middle of your living room to remove the layers of clothes on his torso. There’s a puncture wound, likely from an arrow. Your hands are gentle as they treat the wound, but when he feels your lips graze against the skin of his shoulder blades, he tenses.
It’s hard to miss the pink flush in his ears from behind, and he can feel your lips quirk up into a smile as they press into his flesh once more. “My beautiful knight…” He doesn’t miss those words.
It’s you who flushes when he turns around to pull you into a long, passionate kiss.
SYLVAIN
Sylvain is the one who has the most dislike for his scars. It’s rare to hear him say much negativity, especially about himself, but you don’t miss the way his brows furrowed in frustration in the mirror some days.
It took you a long while to figure out what he could be making those expressions for, assuming at first it was due to bedhead or perhaps a bruise or two left behind by you in recent. However, you see he starts tracing over the white marks littering his chest.
He starts buying special tinctures made to fade scars, and he thinks he hides them pretty well, but when you find them hidden behind the decorative towels in the bathroom, you begin to purse your lips.
He had always liked playing the arrogant and confident card, even back when you were students, nothing had changed. Well, perhaps the fact you now had the guts to point it out now.
You could hear him shuffling into the bathroom, and when he stumbled in, he blinked his eyes a few times. He didn’t seem to realize for a moment what you were holding, but when his eyes darted away quickly, you knew it finally clicked.
“Sylvain-” “Look, a guy has to look his best for his spouse right? It’s nothing but a little cream.” His explanation is lighthearted, but when you frown further, his easygoing smile falters momentarily.
“Do you think your scars bother me?” He’s a little surprised by the tone of hurt in your voice, but he doesn’t complain when your hands skim over the marred flesh on his chest.
You rest your lips over the slice on the place above his heart, a day you were sure he would make you worry to death. You stay there for a few moments before moving onto the next one, eventually, they speed up to a giddy session of butterfly kisses that have the man chuckling and pretending to hold you back.
“I love every inch of you, damaged or not. We all have had our fair share of battles dear, wear your scars with the pride of knighthood.” It’s the way you say it that makes his lips quiver with a need to laugh, but he muffles it with a kiss.
Needless to say, he now starts every morning whining that he needs more reassurance when in reality he just loves being showered in your adoring affections. He returns the favor ten-fold of course.

Hi! I read your works and I really really like them! So I would like to make a request! How about a felix × fem!reader pre-timeskip? Felix is so in love with her but he tries to deny it and he avoids her a little for this purpose. However, he gets really jealous when a suitor is pestering the reader non-stop so he pretends to be the reader's boyfriend to scare away the suitor? Thank you! And take care please!
A/N: Aww thank you so so much!! I’m so happy you like them! I’m sorry it took me a while to write, but I wanted to make this one a bit longer than my other works! I hope this is to your liking! Please stay safe and in good health! -Evelyn
❁❁❁❁❁❁❁❁❁
ABSENTION
Two months had gone by, the Verdant Rain Moon had settled in full with plenty of showers and rainbows making an appearance. [Y/N], like many other students, attended the monastery with intentions of growing not only in power but as a person too. Along the way, she met many new faces, some familiar ones too. Felix was among the many she had made acquaintances with.
He was prickly, blunt, and beyond harsh in the eyes of many, those same people constantly ridiculed how she could stand trying to talk to him. All he ever did was scoff and brush them off. Perhaps he did those same things to her as well, but she could tell he was listening even as he pretended not to. After all, Felix had a little quirk: nodding his head subtly to himself as he pondered her words. His stubborn facade of aloofness had always struck her as cute rather than hurtful.
However, she had noticed as time passed… he seemed more and more avoidant, and their conversations were more one-sided than ever, hardly even a nod to himself now. [Y/N] wouldn’t lie, it had begun to sting the longer the dynamic continued, having grown attached to him. She had extended the concern to his friends, Ingrid and Sylvain, but as far as they knew, he was the same Felix they had always known.
Even during lectures, he no longer sat in the same row as her, instead settling for a seat on the opposite side of the room in the very front. Any time the professor paired them together for an activity or job, Felix didn’t even bother to spare her a glance. It was disheartening in ways and in others it was utterly infuriating.
Today was no different. She watched with a silent glare as they both tended to the horses, her hand dragging the brush gently down the stallion’s mane. Felix made silent work of cleaning the saddles and reins, not once did he say anything! Not even a scoff! “Felix?” Her voice was borderline accusatory just saying his name and he paused in polishing the leather briefly, but still, he didn’t look at her or reply. She at least knew he had heard her.
“I thought you had gone deaf, glad to see that’s wrong. However, this outcome is irking me a lot more.” Open with her thoughts, Felix finally looked at her with a rather pointed expression on his face.
“Whatever are you talking about? Can we get this done?” His reply is curt, turning back to the saddle to continue with his work. The girl grits her teeth, knowing he wouldn’t budge. It was unheard of for Felix to avoid confrontation… but for the time being, she was exhausted constantly trying to corner him and pull an answer out. At this rate, perhaps it was time to just let Felix do his own thing, after all, plenty had warned her about how he treated people as if they were the plague themselves. Some truth certainly rang in it now.
With the stables looking sufficient, the horses cared for and the riding gear repaired and polished, [Y/N] was the first to turn and leave, unlike in the past where she would try to get some sort of response from Felix at least. The man remained behind for a moment, watching silently as she walked away before releasing a quiet sigh of his own.
He hated upsetting her, truly he did. However, the last thing he needed was a distraction or something he viewed as an unnecessary quality of life. Felix had always and continued to put logic first and his feelings behind him. This was no different. He would lie to himself, saying things like; “I can do without. She and I weren’t that close anyway. It will be easy to forget.”
Except, he couldn’t do without. They had been close and she had been on his mind at every waking moment of every single day that passed. He felt as if it would drive him mad, but Felix seemed adamant that time would erase his fickle feelings. Days went by where the girl no longer spared him a glance, and if their eyes would meet by chance, her face would turn stern before quickly looking away as if he now repulsed her.
Sylvain was quick to notice, blowing a long whistle as his cheek laid in his hand during a lecture. “Didn’t think she could make those kinds of faces at you…” His voice seemed surprised, but in reality, both he and Ingrid knew Felix had a talent for stepping on toes. “I guess you finally chased another one off.”
“Sylvain, shut up. I am trying to read.” The exasperation was clear in Felix’s voice, flipping his pages wildly before stopping at random. However, even with his face turned down at the book and his brows knitted in concentration, Sylvain picked up the key clue the man wasn’t reading just because his eyes didn’t move from their spot. Ever the observant student deep down, the man sighed and rolled his eyes.
“You call me stupid at every possible chance yet can’t even admit to yourself how you’re feeling. It’s kinda sad really.” Before Felix could even jump at the opportunity to start a fight over the exchange, Sylvain perked up a considerable amount with clear curiosity. Turning his head to try and spot what the other was looking at, Felix spotted the sight of interest. [Y/N] was accompanied by a student sitting in on their lecture, one from the house of the Black Eagles to be exact. The two were getting along well despite the house rivalries, and the man seemed to certainly be enjoying himself.
“I forgot about him, Callun Forge, I heard their fathers are good friends. Apparently [Y/N’s] pops is trying to marry her off. Guess it makes sense he’d be first in line, looks like he’s been waiting for an opportunity like this.” Sylvain’s words pulled again at Felix’s temper, slamming the book closed and standing to pardon himself from the room. The redhead faked shock, looking after the swordsman before snickering to himself with a shake of his head.
“You really shouldn’t rile Felix up like that Sylvain, you know how angry he gets.” Ingrid’s lecturing from behind fell upon deaf ears. The slam of the door caused [Y/N] to jump briefly, glaring at the spot Felix had been just before the noise. However, her ‘lovely’ company continued merrily chatting her head off.
❁❁❁❁❁❁❁❁❁❁
It went on for days, the man’s incessant talking. It never ceased! At the rate things were going, she could feel annoyance boiling just at the sight of him. She knew her father meant well, and that she couldn’t upset the suitor considering the bonds their fathers shared… but he was making it harder and harder every day. Even now, Callun was following her around the monastery as she went to have lunch. “-You should have seen it, [Y/N], I was a true hero that day. The Goddess herself would have been enamored.” She rolled her eyes in secret.
Felix sat with Sylvain and Ingrid, a typical arrangement, but hearing the babbling fool coming from a mile away, his eyes stared at the entrance of the dining hall with an intense glare. Soon enough, [Y/N] walked through with the same man attached to her hip. He’d had enough of seeing him. Callun showed up to every lecture, every job and even accompanied them on their latest mission. He’d heard rumors that he would be asking to join the Blue Lions soon. Over his dead body.
Every tale he spun had Felix scoffing, and today was no different, but the second his hand bravely took her’s, he was practically fuming. “Felix?” Ingrid’s voice was cautious, leaning into view. “Why do you look so upset?”
“I’m not.” His reply was venomous, enough to prevent her from asking further questions, but the second he watched the man lean in to whisper something into [Y/N’s] ear, a Cheshire like grin on his face, Felix snapped. The way he shot out of his seat, hands slamming on the table before he paced their direction caught the attention of a few students. The closer he got, the more he could tell that her companion’s advances weren’t appreciated. Possessively, one of his arms found it’s way around her waist as his other hand smacked the offender away with a pointed glare.
“Hey, what the hell is your problem man?” He had guts, that was sure. Perhaps he hadn’t understood the fact Felix was more than just bark. Even [Y/N] looked bewildered, but he didn’t miss that small glimpse of relief.
“Do you make a pastime out of courting ladies that are already committed?” Felix sneered out the words, and the man’s face contorted into confusion at first before a slight trace of fear hit his eyes. His glare hardened further as he pulled the girl closer to his chest as if to prove his story. “What are you standing around for? Scram.” On command, Callun turned tail and ran. It wasn’t long after he could feel [Y/N’s] head tilt up against his chest. When Felix looked down, he was met with a pointed stare, unreadable at first but it soon turned into a devilish smirk.
“I get it now!~” Her voice was sing-song, tauntingly sweet as her finger jab against his chest accusingly. “You don’t seem like the type to get jealous, Felix. Or the type who runs from his problems. I guess you’re full of surprises, huh?” She had every right to embarrass him right now, after all the unnecessary pain he put her through, she felt he deserved a little punishment. “You know, you could’ve just said you liked me.”
“I like you.” Her teasing quickly backfired. Felix admitted it, unwavering with an honest intensity in his eyes. “Let’s… talk about this somewhere more private… please?” His eyes strayed to peering eyes uncomfortably, and the girl was quick to take his hand and pull him outside and into the unoccupied greenhouse.
“Spill it Felix, you spend weeks not talking to me and acting like I’m a nuisance. Then all of a sudden Callun shows up and you’re quick to jump up and make a scene. I’m not here to be wanted just when there’s competition, you know?” Her voice is accusatory at first, but by the end, it softens almost sadly. It pulls at his heart and he finds himself regretting his choices in the past.
“I don’t want you just because another man does, I did like you before that. It’s the whole reason I avoided you. I don’t need that commitment. It’s a distraction.” His voice is laced with frustration before it also softens but in a defeated mannerism. “Or at least I tried to convince myself it was. [Y/N], you confuse me. I’ve never felt this way before. I don’t like not knowing what will happen or how I’m feeling.” He shows vulnerability, something he tries to never do.
It’s silent for a moment before she gives an exhausted sigh and then pouts. “You’re no fair. It’s hard to be mad at you, you know?” Her body leans against his, and hesitantly he wraps his arms around her before dropping his head gently atop of her’s.
“I mean it… I like you.” His repeated confession is met with a hint of a giggle before the girl nuzzles into the crook of his neck to sneak it a simple kiss.
“I like you too, but you’re the one who has to explain this to my father. After all, he’s going to be very confused about why I never mentioned you.”
“Don’t talk about that right now.” Felix’s lecture sounds stern, but there’s a hidden smile placed on his lips and an expression of fondness washed over his face. He was lucky to have someone who understood his irrational ways and would accept his flaws. He wanted to do better in the future, he’d promised to himself he wouldn’t neglect her. [Y/N] meant so much to him. He wanted to make sure he expressed that through his future actions.

Morning Ritual
It’s late morning, the sun shines obnoxiously bright through the sheer bedroom curtains and makes the room uncomfortably hot beneath the covers. [Y/N] flips the sheets off tiredly, trying to submit to sleep once more. The gentle noise in the kitchen, however, causes curiosity. Their husband does try his hardest to be quiet in the mornings, knowing they’re a light sleeper, but the clatter of dishes and a light curse is more than enough to make them climb out of bed.
Their feet sound silent against the wooden floors, rubbing sleep from their eyes as a yawn tumbles out. Stahl looks to the hallway in alarm, like a deer in headlights. “Did I wake you up? I’m so sorry…” That pitifully guilty look on his face tugs as the heartstrings. They shake their head gently in response with a tired smile before coming closer for a ritual morning hug. They would never tell, but it was mostly for the warmth, love was a lovely bonus though.
“I was already awake before I heard the noise. So… What is it you’re messing with my dear?” Their eyebrow quirked in an almost teasing manner as they peaked at the mess of dishes behind him. The way Stahl stumbles to stand in front of the mess in an attempt to block it from view makes them laugh mirthfully and their head falls against his chest with a gentle thump.
“Try not to look at the collateral damage… I was trying to make crepes… but they’re so thin! It’s impossible [Y/N]!” The way his brow creases in a pout as he glares at the mess behind him is enough to make anyone’s heart soar. “They tear every time I try to flip them…” That final sentence was enough to make them laugh before abruptly covering their mouth, trying desperately to hold it in.
“Stahl, dearest, step aside.” Swatting his arm gently, they step up to the stove to show him how it’s done. The batter dribbles onto the buttered pan smoothly, spreading out before they swish it to cover the surface in a rather thin layer. Then, they wait. Nothing more, nothing less, and Stahl watches with a questionable gaze as they turn the heat down.
“Light heat, love. You’re cooking on too high of a heat. Lastly, no flipping.” Taking a plate in hand, [Y/N] gives him a quick glance before they turn the pan over and onto the plate. A golden circle, flat and slightly shiny is revealed to Stahl who resembles a gawking fish at the sight. Laughter sounds as he’s handed the plate with a gentle pat. “Now, go find some fruit and whipped cream, please?” He nods eagerly and disappears in the direction of the fridge.
They make themselves a crepe before sitting at their little dining table for two. The birds chirp gently as they eat in peace with an easy-going conversation flowing between the couple.
It’s only been three years since Grima’s fall, but the kingdom was thriving as were the individuals who had fought in that horrific fate. Stahl had been a sweetheart to them back in the Plegian war, but their bond had only grown stronger as time went on. He only gained the bravery to ask [Y/N] for a simple date after the fight of Grima. It took him so long to ask for their hand in marriage, a mere three months ago they had their wedding. Even Chrom, the exalt himself was in attendance.
His eyes drifted to his lover, scanning their left hand and spotting the engraved band on their fourth finger. It shined warmly in the peaking sunlight, and as his eyes slowly trailed to their face, his own sun was smiling just as warmly at him. “I love you.” Despite having said it so many times by now, hearing it come from their lips makes his heart thump wildly against his chest.
They stand, gathering empty plates and pressing a chaste kiss to Stahl’s lips, one he happily reciprocates. “I love you too.”
A/N: Another short little scenario with our lovely Stahl. I’ve been craving some subtle marital fluff and he seems like the perfect breakfast company! Will be continuing to write for requests VERY soon!

Can we get some Say’ri x reader?
A/N: Thank you for the request dearest, it took me a long time to try and write something. Say’ri has so little support conversation to learn more about her character, it’s actually very disappointing... Regardless, I hope that what I wrote might suffice! It is rather short.
Complacency
It’s a calm day, an unusual moment of peace where the prince and tactician are comfortable with their future plots yet not fully prepared to act on them. Truly, it is a blessing for the army to have a day of rest, most of them had already departed to retire to their tents early to write home, other’s had gone to the market in search of entertainment or goods. [Y/N] remained among one of the few who continued to work despite their time off.
Their hands went through the motions of sharpening each of the swords in the barracks before dipping a cloth in polish and carefully shining each steel. Among the more serious crowd in the army, some thought them to be unapproachable, others would say admirably dedicated. The tent rustled as someone entered.
“[Y/N]? Still hard at work, I see, you make for a fine soldier.” Say’ri’s voice was polite, a small hint of amusement still trickled out as the corners of her eyes crinkled in a smile. “It’s a fine day for rest, wouldn’t you agree?” She watched them lift their head, giving their own mirthful smile before shaking their head with a low chuckle.
“I cannot deny that it is a wonderful day. However, trouble can arise at any moment, it would be best for us to be a step ahead, no?”
“Aye. I cannot argue with that. Perhaps… It would be easier with an extra set of hands. Then you can rest, yes?” She was stubborn, that much was surely true. Even so, [Y/N] only nodded their head in acceptance, handing over a spare rag of polish. “Glad to see you agree.”
At first, it all remained quiet for the most part, some idle chatter here and there but Say’ri was just as focused as they could be. She was also known to work tirelessly, as both an avid guard of Tiki but also as the Princess of Chon’sin. Now that they thought about it… the war was likely weighing heavily on her, especially after what had happened with Yen’fay. “Say’ri… Do you ever… perhaps regret coming with us?”
There was laughter, abrupt yet still soft as if she had heard the most preposterous thing. “I feel no such thing. The road may be rough, aye, but it would be rough no matter what I chose to do. Having friends like you at my side has proved to be more than enough to keep me content with the life I’ve chosen.” The response was enough to soothe any worries, [Y/N] smiling to themself before nodding firmly. They could learn a thing or two from such positive thinking.
It took another hour before the polishing had been finished, the two standing proud before the wrack of weaponry. “We did a fine job, don’t you think?”
“I do believe we did. Now, as you promised, it’s time to rest, so out you go.” Say’ri wasted no time in gently shooing them outside, her smile never faltering as her companion sighed in response. “I was hoping… Perhaps you would join me for tea?” The invitation was out in the air, and she waited patiently for a response.
“I think that would be nice.” [Y/N’s] response was simple but said plenty enough for Say’ri to lead them back to her tent in an almost excited manner. It wasn’t often that the swordswoman could extend an invitation to tea, nonetheless show someone the culture of Chon’sin. She was quick to heat a kettle over a small personal fire outside as she set up space inside to be more welcoming and comfortable. “Here, here, have a seat.” With those words, she left to fetch the kettle before returning inside to complete the tea.
“The tea smells… quite strong.” The aroma was nice, however, but it was still something [Y/N] didn’t find familiar. The color was rich when Say’ri poured it, the woman offering a reassuring smile as she pushed the cup forward.
“It’s a Chon’sin favorite, I was hoping to show you a little of my home.” It was a tradition at this rate for Say’ri to share tea from her home with people she liked and trusted. [Y/N] looked at the cup quietly before gently taking it in their hands and sipping just a small gulp of the steaming liquid. It was bitter, but with a sweet aftertaste that left their head reeling momentarily.
“I can see why. It tastes quite nice. I think it would go well with dessert.” The bitter flavor wasn’t overpowering, with the tinge of sweetness to exaggerate the flavors. Seeing her company liked it, Say’ri laughed in relief, her hand reaching to take their’s in her own.
“I am glad to hear it, I want to show you many things from Chon’sin.” The gentle look in her eyes was enough to make [Y/N’s] stomach flutter as their fingers gently tightened in Say’ri’s grip. It was quiet for a moment, all the talking was done through their eyes. There is a silent loving trust between the two, reserved yet they share a small intimacy.
“And I can’t wait to see them all.”

Hello! Could I have the following little scenario please? : In a medieval setting, black skin is less welcome. Ferdinand, Sylvain and Felix are married to the reader (loving union) who has mixed skin (Almyra/Brigid - Fodlan, perhaps?). So they try to reassure her in their own way because she has been feeling bad for a few days even though she is beautiful to many people. Thanks in advance! I really liked your first publication!!
A/N: Hi anon! Thank you so much for the request and your support! I tried my best for this and hope these two scenarios are okay! I couldn’t write for Ferdinand because I haven’t played through the Black Eagles, but I hope Sylvain and Felix will be okay for now! ❀
Felix - Radiance
For days on end, Felix had seen little of his very own wife. At first, he had brushed it off as merely unlucky hours where they were both too busy to run into one another. However, he had noticed as time went on, she simply wasn’t leaving their home at all. It took him five days to finally bring it up, many would be in disbelief with him but truly he was never good at discussing troubles that didn’t relate to swordsmanship.
It was late at night when he returned from his duties, with [Y/N] already tucked away in bed and sleeping. Or, that was what she would like to have him believe, but Felix was no fool. With her figure tense and breathing too quick, it was all a dead give away, but he would play her game momentarily. Silently, and gently as he would normally do when trying not to wake her, he slipped into their shared bed with their backs nearly touching. He gave her ten minutes, slowed his breathing, and focused on nothing but her movements. Slowly, the tension left her in a sorrowful sigh that tugged at his heart harshly.
“What ails your mind, darling?” Felix’s voice was soft, one he used with no one but her, and yet she still jumped.
“Felix? I thought you were asleep…”
“Merely faking. You’ve been troubling my thoughts lately. I haven’t seen you leave the house for a week… Is someone harassing you? Say the name and they’ll be dealt with immediately.” Felix had always been a protective husband, but when it came to picking up on small signs, he was honestly horrible.
“It’s nothing like that, I just…” She trailed off slowly, voice heavy.
“Just what?”
“I just feel like I don’t belong here… With tensions rising and the way I look-”
“[Y/N].” His voice was stern, face set in a hard stare that meant business as he sat up in bed and loomed over her to look at her directly. It was the easiest way for him to communicate that he meant every bit of what he was about to say. “You belong here, we belong here together.” Felix gently took her hand in his own, placing it against his heart. “You’re perfect just the way you are, you’re stunning darling. The people of Fodlan adore you, my family adores you just as my friends do. But I will always adore you the most.” If there was one thing people could rely on Felix for, it was honesty.
Sylvain - Adoration
When Sylvain cares for someone, he notices every little sign, quirk, and habit they’ve got. As his wife, it comes as no surprise that he would know [Y/N] like the back of his hand. However, recently he couldn’t read her quite as well. She woke before him in recent days, an unusual habit seeing as he was typically the first to wake and thus wake her with some honey-filled compliment and butterfly kisses. Even stranger, she spent most time avoiding her reflection like the plague.
At first, he questioned himself and wondered if he was looking into things too deeply. It was only when he finally caught her looking in the vanity mirror with disdain did Sylvain finally understand what was going on. The way she poked, pulled and pinched at her skin confused him at first before she buried her face in her arms and laid her head upon the wooden stand. Carefully, he moved from the hall and into their room, leaning down to press a kiss to her head.
“My love,” he quickly took note of the shocked jump from her figure.
“Sylvain, I didn’t know you were here- I-”
“Nevermind that,” quickly he cut her off as she raised her head. His arms wrapped around her waist as his head tucked itself into her shoulder. “You look like you’re battling some inner demons… Do you want to talk about it?” He didn’t need to hear it to know, he could collect enough evidence from the town crier and her reactions alone. Still, he would rather communicate her troubles with her instead.
“Don’t you think maybe… it would have been better for you to marry some Fodlan noble? I stick out like a sore thumb, Sylvain, I couldn’t blend in if I tried.” Her hands found her cheeks in exasperation, pointing to the hue as if to prove her point.
“Better? As if. I fell for you, love. Nothing could possibly change that. I never want you to change, or to blend in. No one does, we all love you just as you are.” His arms squeezed her with reassurance for a moment as he pressed a gentle kiss to her cheekbone. “Look at yourself with confidence, you’re a beautiful woman any man would be lucky to have. I am lucky to have you.” Sylvain meant that. She would be the woman he was forever loyal to.

Ameliorate
Sylvain has never been... the easiest person to like. Many of his friends will say this with confidence, and hundreds of women would likely tell you just the same - if not insult him. Many would think that would be plenty for [Y/N] to keep their distance. However, somewhere in their daily banters of Sylvain mercilessly flirting and in turn being shut down in a witty fashion... feelings began to take root. At first, it was easy to ignore and pretend that things were fine, lunch table discussions flowed like normal despite the lingering gazes or internalized wonders of 'what ifs' and 'just maybes.'
No one tells you how quickly feelings develop, that one moment you're only noticing the small things and then it feels like only days later the mere thought of that person keeps you up at night day-dreaming in a lovesick daze.
Knowing Sylvain, [Y/N] knows just how much of a playboy he is, they know how he strings girls along, that he can hardly remember their names at the rate he goes through them. They know this, and yet still they find themselves hopelessly gripping onto a possible future where maybe he'd settle and be loyal to them.
With lunch hour at its busiest, people were bustling through noisily, loud chatter filled the room as people tried desperately to find their favorite dish. [Y/N] always arrived early, for the hottest plate and the best seat. Their friend, Ingrid, was usually hot on their heels, and today was no different. The usual food, the same spot, and recently the same conversation between transpired.
"Really... [Y/N] I think you should move on." Ingrid's voice was gentle with eyes shining full of concern. "He... Isn't likely to change. You're only going to hurt yourself." She had good intentions, trying to steer them towards someone more compassionate. "Ashe is a hard worker, he's also very kind. Why don't you consider someone like him?"
Before they could even protest, a familiar voice from behind them made their heart thump wildly in their chest. "Ooh, I see. Lucky for you, I stepped in at the perfect time. Sounds like someone's lovesick." Sylvain took his usual spot across the table, for a moment they worried he had overheard the entirety of the conversation and knew just who Ingrid was referencing in the start. "Who's the guy? Dimitri? I guess girls do love a dashing type." Well... He was onto something there. Sylvain was dashing himself, a true knightly personality, and chivalrous too. Although, one could say that was all an act to get girls to fall for him, [Y/N] knew better than that.
"No, it's not Dimitri." [Y/N]'s response was half a sigh, poking their spoon at the peach sorbet melting in its cup. They spent the entirety of the dining hall's lunch break together with Sylvain listing off members of the Blue Lion house one by one just to receive a denial in response.
“Oh come on [Y/N]! I’ve listed every Blue Lion student there is! You wouldn’t turn your back on us and find forbidden love in one of the other houses! ...Or would you?” Suddenly, his eyes are scrutinizing, as if to peer into the depths of their soul and pry the answer out that way. “Unless… You’ve fallen in love with me?” The words made their heart skip a beat, especially when he used that teasing tone of his. Ingrid’s worried glance to their warming face didn’t go unnoticed, and the silence that suddenly fell over the group made Sylvain reconsider the reality of that jest.
“Wait- wait. No. What happened to all that crap before? The ‘not even in your dreams Sylvain.’ This has got to be a joke. Us, together?” A joke… That was exceptionally cruel, as if [Y/N] would be so callous.
“It’s not a joke. Unlike some people, I’m genuine about my feelings and I don’t lie through my teeth to people just to break their hearts later.” Slamming their spoon on the table, [Y/N] stood from their seat just to turn their back on Sylvain and begin walking towards the exit.
“[Y/N]!” Ingrid and Sylvain spoke in sync, one a more accusatory tone while the other held concern. “That was horrible Sylvain!” Ingrid gritted her teeth together, voice a low hiss seeing as some curious people were now eyeing down their table with the hopes of overhearing what the newest drama was about. As if they clearly didn’t know with a certain redhead being involved.
“How was that horrible?! It was a genuine question!” Truthfully, he didn’t see where he had gone wrong, it was always that way with him. Women were too complex for him to understand, and Ingrid would never tire of saying it was simply because he was an idiot. He watched in confusion as the woman stood from the table with a heated glare. “Where are you going?”
“To comfort [Y/N], and until you figure out where you went wrong, don’t even bother talking to them.” With that, Ingrid was off to search the monastery. She found them at the stables, where they met time and time again with them caring for the horses together. She wouldn’t say “I told you so.” even if it was on the tip of her tongue. Instead, Ingrid laid a comforting hand on their shoulder. As if on cue, the figure collapsed against Ingrid with a helpless sob. “Oh, come now, it’s not that bad. Now you can move on, find someone worth the trouble…”
The sound of footsteps on cobblestone made [Y/N] stand straight, quickly wiping at their eyes and trying to look presentable. “Oh, good afternoon Professor… You’re looking troubled.” At Ingrid’s observation, they lifted their head to observe Byleth, and indeed he looked troubled with his brow furrowed and a slight frown.
“I’m afraid our mission for the month has turned dire, I need to round up a handful of students to leave immediately. Can I count on you two?” His voice was slightly sympathetic as if he knew the timing might be a slight annoyance.
“Of course, we’ll ready the horses and meet you at the entrance.” Under new orders now, [Y/N] quickly put on their brave face and saddled up on their horse with Ingrid quick to follow. Soon, they met at the front gates of the monastery with Ashe, Dimitri, Dedue, and Mercedes. It was a small group, but all capable if instructed well. Byleth was quick to reassure them all that Catherine and Shamir would be accompanying them and at their aid.
When Sylvain had found out about the mission, he was beside himself with worry for reasons he didn’t quite understand. “You’ve been pacing a hole in the floor for an hour Sylvain, sit down, it’s pathetic to watch.” Felix’s voice cut through with an edge to it. If anything, the swordsman was more annoyed at the fact they’d been left behind rather than worried for their classmates.
“Something has to be wrong, they should have been back by now if it was a small mission, right? Why didn’t they take all of us?” The worried fretting had Felix groan out and hold his face briefly, trying to compose his temper.
“Who knows how far out the location was, besides, the professor knows what he’s doing. Mercedes is there if anyone gets hurt.” While Felix had a point, there was still that nagging voice in the back of his head. Even Sylvain couldn’t grasp what had him so anxious, but as he glanced towards the gate, he could see the professor returning with the class. However, something was very wrong with the picture. [Y/N] didn’t sit upon their horse with a knightly air about them, instead, they were laying in a heap in Catherine’s arms.
“Shit!” Without warning, he was out of the entrance hall and meeting them at the gates. “What happened to [Y/N]?! Are they alright?!” Catherine stepped around him quickly, a brief warning look from Shamir directed at him.
“Out of the way kid. We’re getting her to the infirmary.”
It was Ingrid who rode up at his side, dismounting with a worried frown of her own. “[Y/N] took an arrow and fell off their horse. Mercedes closed the wound, but they hit their head pretty hard. We haven’t been able to get them to wake up, we were hoping Manuela might be able to reassure us or help in some way.”
How was it even possible? They were always so cautious and diligent on the battlefield… Sylvain was always left in awe half of the time. [Y/N] had the true makings of a vigilant knight, and while he understood everyone made mistakes… It was just unlike them. However, it didn’t take a genius to understand that their earlier conversation had affected their battle.
“Let’s just see what Manuela has to say.” Under Ingrid’s recommendation, Sylvain followed her quickly to the infirmary where [Y/N] laid unconscious. “How do they look?” As his friend did the talking, Sylvain took a seat next to their bed, watching intently as he awaited an answer.
“Well, the poor thing fell pretty hard… They’ll wake up, but they’ll have a concussion to worry about for a while. I've asked the professor to take it easy on them for the next month.” Ingrid breathed a sigh of relief as Sylvain took their limp hand in his own. His expression was grim despite knowing they’d be okay soon enough. What if that arrow had struck them somewhere fatal, or what if they had the potential of never waking after hitting their head so hard? What if they had died before they could properly talk? They were only students, but their responsibilities put them in grave situations. This school wasn’t as lighthearted and frivolous as he had once thought.
He sat there for hours, well past the visits of their classmates and the occasional check-in from Manuela. Not once did [Y/N] stir from sleep, and briefly, he worried there was that possibility they would never wake. With a heavy sigh, he trapped their hand between both of his and brought it to his forehead in a silent prayer to the goddess.
“[Y/N]... I wish it wasn’t like this right now… I’d rather have you mad at me in the stables than laying in this stupid infirmary bed. We’d bicker about the conversation we had earlier, neither of us would understand each other because I wouldn’t be honest about my feelings. Until eventually I’d tell you how much you mean to me and that it scares me. That I’ve never felt this way for someone before and that terrifies me.” He took in a shuddering breath, squeezing their hand just a bit tighter. “I’d tell you I love you.” His statement was hardly above a whisper.
It seemed all too unreal to him, the subtle scoff that caused Sylvain’s head to shoot up, staring at [Y/N] who laid with their brows furrowed and just a hint of a smirk tugging at their lips. “So it takes me getting hurt physically for you to confess?” Truly, he was a gawking mess now, enough to pull a laugh from his company’s lips. Sitting up from the bed, their hand brushed against his cheek gently. “Sylvain… I won’t forgive you if you hurt me like that again.”
Instantly, his hand found their’s, holding it to his lips and kissing the tips of their fingers. “I won’t. Never again, I promise. I’ll be honest from here on out.” He meant it too. Soon he dropped their hand to instead get a good look at their face. “How do you feel? Should I get Manuela so she can make sure everything is in order? Can I get you anything?”
“Well… I could use one thing right about now.” [Y/N] mused to themselves, and Sylvain was quick to lean in closer.
“What is it? Anything, and it’s your’s.”
“A kiss.” The answer was so simple, but it was clear the male wasn’t expecting it, and just even for a moment, his face almost looked red in his shock. He didn’t stay stumped for long, leaning over the bed and closing in to press a ginger kiss on their lips.
“Ah… Young love. Such a waste.” Manuela’s dry voice caused the two to break apart with a start. “Now out! I won’t tolerate this behavior here.” The way she swatted at Sylvain with annoyance caused [Y/N] to bubble out a laugh, gently pulling on his sleeve and leaning in.
“Oh, and one last thing… I love you too.” There was a dopey smile that spread onto his lips. As he was shooed out the door by Manuela, he stole one last glance with a promise that he would return first thing in the morning for them.

Requests Open
My first round of requests are open! If you're willing to give a new x reader writing blog a chance, I'd love to create something you'd love! Currently, I'm writing for mostly Fire Emblem Awakening, Birthright / Conquest, and the Blue Lion and the Golden Deer houses in Three Houses. (Eventually I'll do the Black Eagle as well, I just need to play through that house before I'm comfortable writing for them!) I do scenarios, headcannons and oneshots! For now, there's a three character limit for scenarios and headcannons, and a one character limit for oneshots. Perhaps I'll allow more in the future!
Just send your request through the ask box if you’re interested!
Please include whether you want a scenario, oneshot or headcannons. Also what gender you want the reader to be if it matters to you.
