The quirk possessed by Ayane Hayabusa. It allows the user to emit light from their body in powerful, precise blasts!

THE BREAKDOWN:

type: emitter

primary power: emitting light at various frequencies, intensity, and wavelengths.

secondary power/s: using the energy from her light to propel her body forward in a dash-like movement temporarily, leaving a glowing afterimage, high-energy blasts of light that cause damage or can be used to propel herself

quirk factor: skin, however most prevalently used in the hands and feet due to greater mobility and control

biological mechanisms: 

specialised cellular masses in her body convert internal chemical energy (from food, respiration, etc) into semi-liquid photonic plasma that is stored in the hypodermis of the skin. → (inspired by electric eels!)

light is channeled at a specific output via a system similar to optic fibres and nerves running throughout her body

mutations:

her skin secretes a natural substance that protects her from UV radiation emitted from light sources

her eyes can withstand high light intensity

can see in the dark better (eye produces more potent rhodopsin quickly)

tetrachromat

has bioluminescent freckles in spiralling patterns all over her body that only appear in the dark. They appear on instinct, however Ayane can change the colour if she concentrates. The freckles also flash and change colour in different emotions eg pain

weaknesses:

minor skin burns when releasing super high-energy light (her version of a sunburn)

mirrors reflect her attacks 100%
