MCSR ranked really should remove flags from players. It creates issues like this because by having their flag presented they are representing their countries which brings issues when said countries do evil shit.

As much as we could argue ranik shouldnt play under the israel flag i feel like its hypocritical to then let people play under the USA or UK flags (just some examples)

just remove the flags completely and then we have no issue like this

(and also the world has an in lore box over it that the characters can see. It is a crime to pass up giving a character who is trapped in his circumstances \never was happy a rancher or in pity but it's all he has left\ a literal fear of being trapped are you kidding).

Ok this turned into mainly general rambling about cb!4cvit bc I liked his character a lot, it's kinda long so read at your own risk lmao

Sure, the world is big and he knows some parts like the back of his hand. He grew up here, he lived in Pity for most of his life. Yet there is a border now. No matter how much anyone tries they are trapped here. There is something clawing at the back of his mind, a tiny itch of the feeling he knows all too well. There is no chance to leave again this time (there is no concrete evidence that these walls don't close around them is there. No matter how low it is).

The water is nice, even if he never cared that much before. He misses the sight of the endless ocean. Far far away from here, a comfort of seeing the sea was nice no matter how little time he had away, something about it stretching out as far as the eye can see and the salty fresh air came as a sharp contrast to his home. The reflection of himself having pretty blue cloth he got from out of town is a nice reminder (of what he can't have). It's funny how Pity reminds him of the things he came to love while he was out of it.

He moved his new home next to a river. A ranch again. Someone has to continue this isn't there. The town needs food and he is fine with animals. He never wanted this so why is he still here. (He could have never came back, lived the daydreams he wished would come true when he was a kid. Yet he is here.) And there seems to be no escape. Everyone moved on from the world being kept in a box too fast for his liking but he should mind his own businesses.. It's easier not to care, he gets it. Still he would be lying if he said he didn't care.

He doesn't remember that well why he's back. Maybe the roof above his head he doesn't need to pay for, maybe a weird nostalgia and familiarity that will fade in a month. Or the fact that the cities he visited never felt like home no matter how hard he tried. Or the paranoia that claws in the back of his mind when talking to someone new and showing any of his cards to them (There is a reason to never tell his full name. There is a reason to never sign a contract again. He isn't stupid, at least not anymore)

He can ignore it all, just close his eyes and do the same practised motions he is used to. Keep the ranch stocked, keep the animals happy and fed, keep a friendly smile (he doesn't know how to act with them yet, this should work), dance around the questions about himself the others ask. Don't slip into daydreams too often. Keep your head down and keep going. Same old, same old.

The green light, the creature, the burnt grass and the world being a fancy cage sure are new though. Curiosity killed the cat and yet he finds himself running to all the light walls to check. And yet he fidgets with his new weird revolver that was left of the charred ground. He isn't dead yet so there isn't a thing to worry about. There's nothing better than an escape from familiarity no matter to what it may lead to.
