mirroring her usual self's light magic, i think eden would have some connection to light gaia passed down through her family. she can use it to purify dark gaia creatures. she's convinced this is the key to saving the world (or at least her town...)

celeste similarly has a connection to dark gaia that was [resisting the urge to make an unleashed pun] "activated" when the planet got split apart. he starts out acting similarly erratic to the humans in unleashed, until after a bit fully turning into a dark gaia creature-thing and terrorizing people. he gets put back to normal (mentally, the creature-thing stays) when eden attempts to purify him.
