Pixel Art Practice (Art 2/100)
Yeah, I won't make a lot of progress with this pace. Well, anyway, have FP2 Lilac in Undertale battle style:

Pixel Art Practice (Art 1/100)
It's been at least two weeks since I last posted a pixel art. I failed my original goal to practice pixel art for 100 days straight. Instead, I'll try something a bit different now. As you can tell by the post's title, I'll try to make 100 pieces of pixel art, regardless of how long it will take me. That also means that I will post one piece per post, so it will be easier for me to track them.
With that adressed. It's been Freedom Planet 2's second anniversary recently (the 13th of September). I wanted to make a remix of a track from the game, but for now I can only show you this, Carol in the Undertale battle style:
(I hate to admit that, but the eyes was the most difficult part somehow)
Coincidentially, it's already the 15th of September for me, which is Undertale's 9th anniversary, so I kinda killed two birds with one stone with that art, lol.

Pixel Art Practice (Day 32)
One might consider this post to be a follow-up to my previous one, because it's a fan art of Ik from The Upturned!
Kind of a mess, I know.
But' what's worse, my PAP streak has ended on day 32, as I didn't draw anything on day 33. Such a shame...
Update: Ok, why is it getting so many likes? It's not even that good!

Pixel Art Practice (Days 28-31)
+7 items to the collection. The last two were a pain to make. Almost half way through.

Pixel Art Practice (Days 24-27)
Here we go. I decided to draw items from my favorite game, Freedom Planet 2. Right now, those are just the potions:
From left to right: Extra Stock, Strong Revivals (Day 24), Cheaper Stocks. Healing Strike (Day 25), Attack Up, Strong Shields (Day 26, I like these the most), Accelerator and Super Feather (Day 27).
I think I'm going to draw the rest of FP2 items, so 23 more to go. Maybe trying to mimic the artstyle in order to develop your own afterwards, might be a good idea.

Pixel Art Practice (Day 23)
That has gotta be the most pathetic day in a while. I had an idea for a classic Sonic the Hedgehog fan-game and tried drawing a sprite for Sonic and a texture for the first zone called Limestone Lakeside.
I'm not proud of either of these.
Now, you may be wondering: "Ludwig, isn't it Day 25 already?" It is, but I'm cooking something more interesting and bigger.

Pixel Art Practice (Day 21 & 22)
I had an idea for an Isaac mod for a long while, so I decided why not trying to draw some of the items!
From left to right:
Broken Thermometer: +0.7 Damage Chance to shoot a tear that poisons and freezes enemies
Depressant Omega +1.69 Damage +0.5 Flat Tears Counts towards "SPUN!" transformation
Ice Bombs +5 Bombs Enemies caught in explosion get stunned if survived and frozen if died
Book of Toxins (Active, 6 charges) On use, grants a toxic heart and a random curse or stat down for the duration of the floor
Toxic Heart Behaves like a soul heart, once depleted poisons the whole room.
Now, after I drew all that I wanted to try and implement some of these items (namely Depressant Omega and Book of Toxins) into the game, but I was unsuccessful. They are in the game, but depressant doesn't do exactly what I want and I have zero clue how to give a proper effect to the book. Maybe one day I'll try again and release a proper mod, but for now, I gotta abandon this idea...

Pixel Art Practice (Day 19 & 20)
Again, drawing random Isaac items, this time in 48x48 scale.
The top row (Recall, Vanishing Twin and Pyro) were drawn on Day 19, whereas the bottom row (C Section, Spirit Sword and Mom's Knife) were drawn on Day 20.
Now, I feel like I'm still struggling with shading. Let me see what can I do to improve this aspect...

Pixel Art Practice (Day 18)
I guess I felt confident enough trying to make a concept art for a boss from a game I'm trying to develop. Behold, Moltenstern!
I know, looks kinda goofy and it's definitely not the final design.
Oh, and if you're curious, he's supposed to be a boss of a level situated deep underground in fiery magmatic depths, and he resembles a weapon called 'Morning Star' or 'Morgenstern', hence its name.
#pixel art#pixel art practice#aseprite#i'm too self concious calling this a devlog or anything but i'll leave it like that lol

Got myself a fire extinguisher, in case I get burntout from drawing every day.
