Why am I posting this?

Because I know I have a lot of young people following me, and because over the past few years, I've seen a shocking amount of anti-gay rhetoric in MY comment section. Of my Steven Universe fancomic. An extremely lgbtq-friendly show.

So what gives? My best guess is, I have a very wide following, and a lot of these readers are pretty socially insulated in conservative spaces that don't allow them to explore the concepts of the other side of the argument.

I'm not about to judge children on the environment they were raised in... but I'm also here. I'm a part of the environment. And I'd like to offer some perspectives.

So what would it look like if I reversed the game? The mother and Gris swapping places.

I played Gris, it's the most beautiful game I've seen this year, I studied the game a bit, what I half understood in its design, it has been the best opportunity to learn how to handle colors.

A few things I've thought about so far:

•The use of secondary colors and a single primary color for the inverted palette, orange, green, purple and yellow

•The lights would be blinding instead of using darkness

•Start from the stars perhaps? So you could start in the dark, but now surrounded by stars and then start to go down

•Gris would now be the giant lady but now with galactic vibes

•And the stone lady would now be the daughter, perhaps starting as stardust until taking form

•The places would no longer be ruins, but could now be transformed rather than rebuilt

I'm honestly not sure what psychological process I could use to change grief, considering that light could be used to blind or represent something else. Maybe something like living in a bubble and being indifferent to things, taking advantage of the fact that now the protagonist would be a person made of stone, literally. I can't continue without first thinking about this very important detail, it's what defines Gris, I would like to make this AU in a great way

I started with a pose practice, and ended up making a character

I was thinking, if Stanley could become a cartoonist, being young, homeless, without money, without contacts, etc. How would he do it?

Then several things occurred to me, but the main thing is that he would do it by starting with a newspaper.

•He uses the mail to send the few copies he has of various comic strips he made to various popular newspapers that he noticed published comic strips, but he uses a false identity to send everything, and stolen stamps

•He would take advantage of drawing at the tables of fast food restaurants when he could afford it

•Drawing in a car does not sound comfortable

•His first materials would be stolen, probably from a large stationery store and no one would notice that he took a few things in his pockets

•Most newspapers did not read anything he sent, but one gives him a chance for his humor

•He may also have been lucky that the cartoonist of that newspaper did not manage to deliver that week's work and they needed to fill in with something

•His style would originally be like the one we see in Lost Legends, a combination of Garfield and Snoopy, but it would change over time

•He would also change the types of humor and narrative in the comics, experimenting with action and adding winks from his life

•The newspaper that publishes his comics They almost never manage to contact him because he changes state and they don't have his real name, so they can't send him the money from the comics published for a while.
