(Nanami Kento falls for you. HARD. The only problem is he doesn't know how to talk to you. You're the new hire after all, and he doesn’t wanna scare you away right when you’ve just arrived. So he puts a plan in action!)

   Nanami had never seen something so gorgeous in his life. There stood the pretty little new hire, you, as you looked up at Gojo, listening intensely as he explained the job. Your big brown eyes were mesmerizing as you soaked up the information, and Nanami couldn't get enough.

    You looked nervous, eyes flitting about as you scanned the area, only to land on Nanami himself. 

   His breath caught in his throat, choking on the black coffee he had taken a sip of. Fuck was it hard to contain the warmth that spread across his body as you both locked eyes. What a pretty little thing you were… brown eyes as deep as chocolate, skin as radiant as the rays of sun. God and your nervous smile. He died right there and then.

    Nanami withdrew his gaze from yours, pretending to do some important task as he turned around. 

     Eventually Gojo had dragged you away to some other part of the school. Flapping his lips like he had all the time in the world. 

   The blond haired man let out a breath as he watched you walk away, mesmerized by the sway of your hips.  

Damn.

Now Kento is not one to hesitate. No, not at all. But when he saw you it was like time itself stopped to appreciate your beauty. 

 Nanami was quiet, reserved, not at all a fool who stumbled over his words and acted like a love sick puppy. 

Kento was calm, precise, organised.

And yet when he saw you... Fuck when he saw you all his common sense went out the fucking window.

 ✦•┈๑⋅⋯ ⋯⋅๑┈•✦

It had only been a week and your presence still had a choke hold on Nanami. He couldn't look away from you, couldn't stop thinking about you. Couldn't talk to you… Yes no matter how many times the blond haired man tried he could absolutely not muster up the courage to say a word to you. So lively and talkative, you flitted about the office like a bee. Everyone, and he means everyone liked you. You go out with coworkers on the weekends, discuss other plans with them during business hours. But no matter how much you did, you never managed to look his way. 

     Obviously he assumed that it was because you were too busy. Why else would you immediately find something else to do when you spotted him? And why else would you rush off, almost knocking yourself and him over when he approached? Why else would you blush like a madwoman, if not for the fact that you were tired from the stress?

  Perhaps you were shy…

  Regardless…

  Kento shook the thought out of his head as he looked down at the papers in his hand, not realizing he was gripping them so tightly. 

 He sighed as he entered the breakroom, immediately starting up a cup of boiling water. He said nothing as he sat down and waited, trying to clear his thoughts. He was so focused on ridding thoughts of you that he didn't notice you walk in.

  Didn't notice the way you pause as you spot him, the big breath of courage you take as you slowly make your way towards the pot of water, which has already done boiling by now.  

  You stand there awkwardly, hands fidgeting as you work the courage up to speak to him… before the excuses come… 

  He’s too busy, much too busy. He wouldn't want to talk to me, I'm practically nobody. He doesn't even know my name, much less that I work here. You hem and haw over yourself, startled when the man turns around. Both of you lock eyes, the moment seeming to last for eternity until you clear your throat. 

“Hi…” 

  He stares at you with wide eyes, not saying a word. 

  Mouth slightly agape because you spoke to him. Him! Finally…

  Nanami inhales a quick breath before smiling lightly. “Hi…” 

  You return his smile, blushing just slightly. You both stay in awkward silence before shifting on your feet. You introduce yourself, though there's no need, and Kento does the same. He reaches out to shake your hand, gripping it firmly. You  almost choked, eyes widening at his strength.

And his hand.

And his arms. His biceps…his … his everything. 

 Your small office crush turns into something more. You gently slide your hand from his, already missing the feel of it. Your smile widens as you grip the noodle packet in your hand, scanning the area for anything that could continue this conversation.

Eyes landing on the papers that are sat on the table, you lean your head over to get a better look. “Whatcha working on?” You ask, shifting once again. He withdraws his hand from yours, although, you note, more hesitantly. Glancing back at the papers he shrugs.

  “Just some documents, nothing too special..” 

  You hum, curling your lips in. The silence is killing you, but you're desperate to hold a decent conversation with him. Groaning internally, you search around the room frantically. 

  How dry can a man be?

Nanami notices the change in atmosphere, thank god, and takes it upon himself to speak up.

“S-so… how do you like working here so far? Everyone is treating you right?” 

He says it so nervously your heart melts, You offer him a warm smile, giggling. “Yeah! Everything has been going so well here. Honestly it's such a refresher from my last workplace. The hours are good and so is the pay. And the people here are amazing!-” You don't realize your rambling, and Nanami does not point it out. He could listen to you talk all day.

The man finds himself smiling, laughing, though not much, when you laugh. Nodding along and even offering some commentary. 

 He folds his arms across his chest,the sleeves of his dress shirt roll over his forearms and biceps, causing you to lose your train of thought.

  When you refocus you find him staring at you expectantly, arms still folded and expression unreadable.

  You feel the blush creep up your neck. 

 Clearing your throat you smile brightly, gathering your thoughts.

“Well I must get going! It was nice talking to you Nanami!” 

  You turn away, heart still racing at actually getting to talk to the man. As you reach the doorway you hear Nanami’s voice. “Wait a moment.” 

 You pause, slowly turning around to face him. You're a little nervous of what he's going to say, your interaction today with him already has your mind buzzing. He smiles, actually smiles! And nods his head slightly. “I hope you settle in alright. It was really nice talking with you, Ms. (reader).” 

  That sentence alone sends you reeling.

You smile one last time at him, trying not to explode with joy. 

  “And you as well, Mr.Nananim…”

                              ✦•┈๑⋅⋯ ⋯⋅๑┈•✦

  Kento was screaming. He had barely managed to get through your small interaction, focusing on nodding along and adding some comments.

And watching your lips move.

 The way your smile reached your eyes. 

 The confident way you spoke to him, as though you had known him a whole lifetime. 

 Regardless. When it was just about to end he mustered up the courage to speak to you one last time. Leave on a positive note. 

 And the smile that graced your lips as you responded with such cheer. The privilege his ears had of hearing your wonderful voice speak to him?!  Oh Kento could just die. 

 Nothing but your little break room escapades played in his head over and over and over and over again. 

That stupid smile that crossed upon his lips as he thought of you just wouldn't disappear. And Gojo, Gojo of all people, had to be the one to catch him in the act.

He scowls as he sees the white haired man enter the room out of the corner of his eye. 

“Well well well.” He chuckles,standing uncomfortably close to Nananmi. “What do we have here?” Nanami huffs, going back to shuffling the papers on his desk. 

“What do you want?” He grumbles, winching as Gojo takes it upon himself to come even closer. 

 “Oh nothing~” The man sing-songs, coming to sit across from Kento.

 “Just noticed that dreamy look in your eyes~. Has someone caught the attention of our very own Nanamin~. Who could it possibly be?” 

Kento groans, trying to ignore the infuriating man. Trying and failing.

Where Kento turns there's Gojo, smiling like a complete fool. He sighs loudly, trying to scare the man away.

“It's nothing, just thinking about work…” 

Gojo raises a brow, clearly not believing the bullshit he just spewed. 

“Right. Work…”

Awkward silence ensues afterward, to which Gojo is still standing there smiling like an idiot. Giggling like there's shit to giggle about. 

“I’ll see you later Nanamin~”

Kento can’t help but roll his eyes, sighing as he went back to his paperwork. 

And as Kento shuffled the last bit of paperwork aimlessly, he heard a knock at the doorway. 

“What!” He snapped, already assuming it was his annoying coworker, back for more.

You stand there, a little shocked and brow lifted.

Nanami blushes slightly, fixing the glasses on his nose. He clears his throat, sitting up a little straighter. “Ms. Y/N…?”  

You smile awkwardly, scooching past him to grab a small bottle of water from the fridge.

You bow politely before walking out of the break room.

Kento breaths a heavy sigh, leaning back against his chair, hands dragging down his face. 

Fuck.

I feel as though for how long this took for me to edit, publish and find a perfect title/picture, the amount of words in the fic are not nearly enough...
