Hey ! So…you wanna know how to make moodboards huh? Heh…well here’s a gentle guide to moodboards + stimboards & more ! This is for everyone and you don’t have to do it exactly how I do so, do your own thing, add in a twist, this is just a simple guide for those who want to make stuff but just don’t know how ! No worries, Emile is here !🐾
[PT: Hey. So you wanna know how to make moodboards huh? Heh, well here’s a gentle guide to moodboards and stumblers and more! This is for everyone and you don’t have to do it exactly how I do so, do your own thing, add in a twist, this is just a simple guide for those who want to make stuff but just don’t know how. No worries, Emile is here. End pt.]
Firstly there is no set way to making moodboards or stimboards, you can quite literally do whatever you want ! No one can stop you ! However there are two things I would like for people to know, it isn’t right to use ai in your boards (such as ai images/asmr gifs) and having children in your boards is harmful !
Many people make this mistake and it’s okay, I did too! Children cannot give consent to their images being on the internet for public usage, so even if you find a really cute image of a mother and her daughter, you shouldn’t use it! Of course you don’t have to take my advice but i strongly recommend it, just don’t put there faces in, protect children! (This might vary so please just don’t add in a child’s face, if it shows. Bad people see these things in bad ways, which sucks.)
Also I did all this on mobile so it’s accessible for mobile users, plus I don’t own a computer or laptop so very sorry ! This is long.
Okay so let’s actually get to the board making ! Firstly what I do is go on Pinterest or any app for image searching and I look for what goes with the theme I have in mind. Here’s a little screenshot of some images in one of my Pinterest boards that I keep incase I need anything for a board I was requested for or just wanted to make:

Now if you have a theme in mind for your board, maybe for a character or a color or anything really, you can use keywords such as “blue aesthetic” or if it’s a character, you could look up things that relate to the character. Take Chance from Forsaken as an example from my board for a dear friend of mine, @amokissy , for vamp’s birthday:

Vamp requested a pink chance theme board so I went and found things that related to both chance and the color pink, along with the theme of claw’s birthday.
Here’s the actual guide :
Step 1: first if using picsart, find the collage button which should just be a rounded square with some lines in it and the word “collage” underneath, if you can not find this, it looks like this:

Step 2: Once there, if you collected images for the board, begin putting in the images! If you want a board like my Chance one, then make sure to have 9 images, however you can have any amount on there. If you want a three image board like this:

Step 3: Then get three images and look for this collage type in the middle below and click it, it should bring you to a ratio section then you look for either the one that says cover or header (should have the Facebook letter or twitch letter in the middle of the box)

Down below is a video + text guide for visual of how I did it.
[pt: down below is a video and text guide for visual of how I did it. End pt.]
Here’s how I made that Chance forsaken moodboard, of course it’s different because I made that board on the 10th and this one was made just a few minutes ago so it doesn’t have what I put on claw’s board.
What I did is I went into pics-art and clicked the 9 images I needed, moved them around to fit how I like it and then I worked on the borders. I don’t like having thick inner borders so I only do the outer borders (the inner borders is the thickness scale, radius makes the images rounded and the border is the border around everything on the side.)
I either click apply or click the stickers button and type in what I want, such as “chance forsaken” or “pink”, anything that relates to it or I look on tumblr for pngs I can use for free (if I find some that aren’t free to use then I make sure to credit on my post).
After this, I click the effects after applying everything and I pick what I like, usually film3, saturation, VIN1, cinematic1 or sunflower effects. You can use anything, absolutely anything ! Though a lot of things need premium which sucks but the ones I use are free.
That’s all for how I personally make my boards.
Another way to make boards is just getting the images and putting them on tumblr in the format you want them to be, this way is easier and quicker than picsart or canva, it’s also easier for people who do stimboards! Like this green calm stimboard by Fawn worksheets (safe link).
This is just part one, I plan to make three more on how to make worksheets, banners and userboxes (I’m new to making userboxes). I hope this helps, very sorry if it’s confusing, please let me know! I might also make a guide on stimboards since this was mostly on moodboards. For extra info: links for alt text guide (link) and plain text guide, if you need resources for regression or anything you can look in my morning dust tag or try bunnelbaby’s account for many other things! Feel free to request any guides from me or ask any questions !

support HUMAN artists, not AI‼️
AI generated images are NOT art. art is CREATED, not GENERATED.
this is not just about taking jobs from artists (which is already a huge deal), it’s also about devaluing art itself, turning it into mass-produced, empty and soulless content. it’s heartbreaking to see AI stealing from real artists: from Studio Ghibli to smaller creators like us.
personally, we started our art journey by reinterpreting what we love: music, TV series, anime and transforming it into our vision inspired by the 90’s anime that we grew up with. when we create our illustrations, we try to capture the emotion and love we feel for the subject, aiming to tell a story with each drawing. ever since AI was created, we have had many people asking if our art is AI generated. honestly, it’s heartbreaking every single time. for us, art is a deeply human experience that we’ve been dedicating ourselves to for seven years. creating from nothing takes dedication, skill, and an emotional investment that, in our opinion, AI simply can’t capture.
you’ve probably seen your feed flooded with AI generated images in a “Studio Ghibli style”. trends like these reinforce the idea that art can be easily replicated and devalued. the future of artists is more uncertain than ever. we don’t know if in a few years we’ll still be able to make a living from this, since many companies are adopting the mindset of “why should i pay someone for their well-earned work when a machine can do it for free in an instant?” that mindset is the real problem: the way society is starting to perceive art.
art is essential to human life. many people realized this during the pandemic: what would we do without music, movies, books, that bring us comfort? art is more than just the final product. it’s about the process, struggles, and personal growth that comes with it. when you create, you grow, learn, and challenge yourself. AI erases that, replacing it with instant and shallow replication. real art brings people together, evoking emotions and reminding us of what it means to be human.
relying on AI to make art isn’t innovation, it’s avoiding the challenge of creating something meaningful. AI tools like these are being pushed as "the future," but what does that say about us? replacing human artistry with shallow, mass-produced content takes away humanity from art, do we really want to be part of a world where art is just another disposable product? what value do we place on creativity?
if you’ve made it this far, it means you care about these issues. let’s raise our voices together and speak up. don’t consume AI generated images. value and respect creativity. SUPPORT REAL HUMAN ARTISTS.
