「 The Chase︱Lunick & Petrel 」

Hiding in the shadows of the large buildings of the city, the Ranger made his through alleyway keeping tabs on the small group of Team Rocket grunts he had been following that week. The light of the moon made it that much easier to stalk the group then during the day time, especially since he never had time to change out his uniform.

Earlier that week, Lunick was told to go to Kanto and follow the Rockets. The Ranger Union had received word that Rockets had been stealing Pokemon right under trainers’ noses. They didn’t know why the group was doing it, but they needed to be stopped. So they sent him, telling him to learn why they did it. find the hideout -- which was rumored to be in Celedon City -- and arrest the mastermind behind the plan.

The job sounded easy enough. However, it was not. The hideout was the easiest. It was in the Game Corner. Unfortunately, Lunick had no idea where the secret entrance was. And the mastermind? That was challenging, but after overhearing the grunts, the Ranger discovered it was a man named Petrel. According to the Ranger Union’s files, Petrel was a higher ranking member of the organization, but couldn’t confirm anything. How did the Union get this information? He thought, stopping just outside the Game Corner.

“Here goes nothing.” Lunick whispered before entering the building. For being a game center in the middle of the night, the building was sure crowded with people gambling, drinking, and talking to each other. Nothing looked out of place. It looked exactly like how a casino of sorts would look. He wondered where the grunts he was just following disappeared to. No one seemed to be paying attention. however, so asking questions was out of the question.

Then he noticed something off in the back. There was a guy dressed in black standing in front of a big picture. Could that be where the secret entrance was? Only one way to find out. The Ranger made his way to the back. Though, before Lunick could ask the question, the guy ran off, disappearing down a set of stairs that was hidden in the wall.

“Gotcha.” He sad, running after the guy down the hidden stairs.

Unfortunately, the moment the Fiore Ranger reached the bottom, he discovered the guy laughing. “You’re too late,” the mysterious guy told him. “They already left. And you won’t be able to find them.”

Lunicked looked around. The guy was right. Everything looked abandoned. The place looked like whoever was there had to leave in a hurry. Papers were laid out on tables ripped to shreds. These Rocket people were good. So good that there was no visible evidence where they could have gone.

“Looks like the chase has just begun.” He said out loud, making his way to arrest the mysterious guy standing in front of him.

I’m currently looking for some thread partners for both of my boys -- which I’ll cap at 3 each.
