Drinking at The Siren wasn't Nellie's usual thing, but Amelia was at a sleepover at friend's house, and there was nothing better to do on a Saturday night. She was quietly sipping a beer when the woman started talking, seemingly at random, but a little to Nellie. She wasn't one to be unkind, so instead of completely ignoring the girl, she smiled instead. "I think romance is dead by this point." She said, simply, taking a sip of her beer once again.

at  first  jeremy  wasn't  sure  if  she  were  talking  to  him  or  not  but  then  quickly  surmised  that  she  wasn't.  maybe  she  was  on  the  phone,  or  maybe  it  was  the  bartender  who  had  the  talent  and  ability  to  multitask  better  than  anyone.  "it  doesn't  sound  cute  to  me,  and  if  that's  the  guys  you're  getting  mixed  up  with,"  he  shook  his  head,  beer  perched  at  his  lips.  there  was  a  low  whistle  sound  just  before  he  took  a  drink.  "you  need  better  discernment,"  he  finally  added  on.  "don't  worry  about  it.  i've  got  sisters.  heard  all  sorts  of  that  chatter  and  worse."  then,  after  a  beat,  "isn't  that,  what  you  were  saying,  why  most  of  you  ladies  are  giving  up  on  dating  these  days?  all  the  guys  your  age  are  just  playboys?"

his venture in to see max had ended with him grabbing a beer instead, the man in question having popped out for something mere minutes before nic's arrival. it was a personal mission to check-in on the male, to tame the curiosities that had bloomed since he'd started staying with eliana.

the sound of another's voice pulled him from his own thoughts, her words making him smile and feel a hundred years older than he actually was. "that does sound like a dream," he countered smoothly, a twinge of amusement weaved into his words. when she apologized, he shook his head. "no need. if you wanna talk about it, i'm all ears."

The man followed suit, cheering. Once the liquid had disappeared he set the glass back down and started to order another round. "Everyone judges whether they like it or not." It was just the obnoxiousness coming from the other male in question at the bar. "Clearly he can't handle their liquor - that's enough for me." He shrugged, not shying away from the criticism. "No plans really hopefully enjoy a few more drinks peacefully here, but if that changes I have a bottle of Jack back home. How about you?"

Lucia had been on her feet for sixteen hours, and it showed. She had entered the cafe with a glazed expression and the kind of limp that only nurses and bartenders earned honestly. She hardly remembered giving her name at the counter. The barista handed over a to-go cup marked Lucy. even when it was meant to be an 'easy' day, it wasn't unusual for brianna to try and cross something off her chore list. after a quick drop-off at the library and a pick-up from the post office, she was almost satisfied. He remarked with a half smirk - almost subtle like, while raising the shot glass in his hand obviously of Whiskey and raised it in cheers. "Here's to holding our own and not ending up like that guy."
