"ew furry" is such a hilarious insult to me. It's so uncreative, basic, and conveys hardly any distaste for what the insulter is trying to harm.

Why is it never "Your excessive bodily keratin concerns me regarding your personal hygiene" or "Your behavior, reminiscent of the natural, primitive state of Homo sapiens regardless of personal identity, reminds me too much of nonhuman species, unsettling and disturbing me due to my subjective opinion of how grotesque it is."

Joining in the circle of Tumblr physical nonhumans, CLCZ, holotheres, etcetera, has placed me in a situation where, normally, my dysphoria would place me awake, alone, suffering in the isolated space of my room, feeling like the loneliest creature in the world, shunned by the outside in the witching hours of the night, sleepless... into a situation where, I might be struggling, but at least I can scroll through the posts of creatures I've slowly gotten to know from their blogs. Wolves, and cetaceans, and dogs, and cats, and all sorts of creatures, all with similar experiences to me. And suddenly, the world doesn't seem so dark and lonely anymore.

Oh, what an absolutely amazing world and time we live in.

I feel like I see a lot of people talking about how they wish they could like permanently become their kin species and lowkey I get it but in this current life I really just wish I could shapeshift.

I’m too human to become an animal forever but I’m too animal to be a human forever :[ I just want to be a werewolf who can shapeshift at will, so I can sleep comfortably and have a different form at will.

But alas, I cannot truly have that :’[

My gender is so heavily influenced by my nonhumanity, that I genuinely cannot think of how to express it because it's nonhuman in nature.

While I'm nonhuman myself, I have a very hard time computing my own gender primarily because it's a nonhuman gender. Almost like the miscecanis genders, but it's incomprehensible to humans, and most folks with a human cognition because it's nonhuman. Only a nonhuman with a fully nonhuman cognition could understand it.

I love how terms like GenderNH exist for folks like me. Makes me a happy bush doggy.

Recently, an animal rights activist organization has blocked the transfer of two orcas and twelve dolphins out of marineland Antibes in France, a marine park which has closed down on January 5th—one which is in terrible condition.

The animals live in unfiltered pools with failing infrastructure, one which can kill them at any moment, due to the fact that the park is officially bankrupt, following a law banning cetacean performances in France.

The activist organizations insist on keeping the orcas and dolphins there until a sanctuary is built. The problem is, no sanctuary will ever be built in the foreseeable future, and the cetaceans don't have that time to wait. Recently, the largest sanctuary project (the whale sanctuary project) has been outed as a cash-grab and a scam, after it was revealed its owners have been earning GIGANTIC salaries without spending even a cent on the sanctuary project.

The plan is to fight for the transport of the two orcas and twelve dolphins to Loro Parque and Zoo Madrid. It may not be the ideal choice, but it's the only solution they have.

If not transferred, the animals will be euthanized, which is what the organizations are wishing for. They're openly celebrating the fact that healthy animals may be put to sleep, and mock the situation on their social media.

This is their only chance, and the only thing we can do. The two orcas are a lonely pair—a mother and her son, whose condition has recently been worsening.

As much as I like to run my mouth about the merits of accepting p-shifters, this is genuinely getting exhausting. You’re not an enlightened skeptic for parroting the same “uhm actually you have to prove it” line ad nauseum. And you’re not benevolent for doing the bare minimum of accepting our autonomy. If you don’t like us and our terminology, fine, but please leave us alone and please stop projecting your insecurity onto us.

"Masculine" scents like leather, tobacco, scandalwood, musk, cedarwood. I try to get my paws on anything that has these scents- they smell like me, how I should smell. Never did I think I'd have dysphoria over scent, but this has made me realize that, even as a feminine lycanthrope, those scents are the type I associate with my being.

That, and foresty scents. Oh, how I long for the forest.
