mack who, pre-draft, had never been to a concert, never played on a playstation, never seen any of the classic movies for boys his age. his favorite snack was gum. he has never known what it’s like to really WANT anything other than to succeed and make his dad proud. except now it’s the offseason and he REALLY wants to hang out with will but thats not an option because rick has a summer training schedule for him. it wouldn’t ever occur to him that actually he can stop the grind for one week to go see will Just Because. he’s never done anything just because he wanted to!!! and he’s never wanted anything as much as he wants this!!! so he does his dads workouts and follows the meticulous diet plan and facetimes will every other night and ignores the tightness in his chest when will tells him about the coldplay concert with leno. tells himself there’s only 7 more weeks until training camp. just 7 more weeks
