"I never really had a home.. Or a family. So Im grateful to hear that from you. I catch myself coming back to this place after my missions out there to rest. Im more than glad to have that opportunity." Cosmos responded and smiled.
The woman would then walk up right to the window front of the tower, looking down and beyond the city. She sighs. Cosmos had looked up some stuff about Homelander. She was aware of the things he did. But she didn't mind, she wasn't entirely a good person either. And there was something about him that felt oddly comforting to Cosmos.
"I... My job is... Fuck it... Well lets just say I got gifted with powers by the universe. That make me stay... immortal like this forever in return for me traveling through dimensions and reality to keep everything safe and stable. It's... a nice job. But I tend to be alone a lot. Killing tons of people and creatures. I'll always stay a young woman without a lasting family or bonds, working for everyone's peace... And I'm slowly thinking about it as a burden." She finally explained. Cosmos has never talked about this to anyone before. At least none that were still alive.
"Hello there. Saw you doing weird things on rooftops but hey I won't judge. Brought you more milk... Warmed up... Maybe you like it?"
“Cosmos! How are you? You uh…saw that, huh? And here I thought I was alone. Ahem. Well, hope you enjoyed the show in any case. And thank you for the gift. I’ll never turn down milk.”

She could see it in his eyes. The same traumatic rage flaming up in those irises that she knew when confronted with the topic and memories of experiments. Maybe the weren't that different after all...
Cosmos stepped a little closer to Homelander, trying to show him that she appreciated his support by not seeking the distant stance she saw... many people taking when talking to the supe.
Looking into his face she could swear she could, by now, find something invisibly comforting. Maybe a long lost sibling? Hard to tell.
She sighs, letting some of her guard down. "Thank you so much. If those... situations repeat I will come and tell you. I think maybe we both need to make sure that freaks like that don't get enough chances."

She shrugged, now a bit more quiet and not that bubbly and happy anymore. "I don't know them. They are on the medical floor with the testings and production. They just kinda wondered about me I guess. I don't even know how they found out about me being different..." she then answered, mirroring a certain emotion in her eyes.
"I already took care of most of them. Left them alive but let's say the stars won't align for them anymore." The woman then said, giving Homelander an awkward smile.

"do you have a place i could crash?"
"Uhm. Who are you?" she responds, eyeing the other person carefully. She's never been approached like this before, let alone asked for a place to hide.
Her head tilts, ginger locks dangling down in the movement. "And why exactly me? Forgive me my suspicion but I am not exactly used to people. If they want something from me it's usually nothing nice."
She did in fact have a few hideouts that were more than safe. But she's careful about letting people "crash".

"Oh Im glad you... both enjoy my company that much. I do sleep in that room once in a while but... I uhm I gotta tell you... So there's people that have been starting to ask to uh examine me and do tests. So Im sorry if I avoided this place."

"Oh I'm doing alright. Fairly. And don't worry, I said I wouldn't judge, right? You do what makes you happy, hm? Ah, you're welcome. I'm just glad to see you happy and healthy."

"I'm not sure.. Everyone's getting festive. But me? I'm always working and alone. Wandering from place to place. I never really celebrate this time of year. I would like to. I always wanted to dance in the snow or wander through Christmas markets. Or decorate a room and then bake cookies. But in the end I sit on a rooftop, watching the people below while I eat some food. It's good food. But it means nothing if you can't share your freedom.
So. Sitting here, with this plate of cookies, watching the snow fall on these happy folks. I lean backwards, laying on the tiles of the flat roof of the tall building. Who am I in this world that I am prone to be alone?"

She chuckles.
"Rest assured, I'm no victim. I dropped here on my own but I can also tell that I have experienced nothing but kindness alongside Astarion." She then explains, beaming at Gale with curiosity and positivity.
"I am very fond of your... place. Its amazing." she adds a bit more melancholic.
"Oh hello. My name is Cosmos. I've been talking to Astarion for a while... He told me a little about you." The ginger haired girl smiles at him. She's still wearing modern clothes, a style that doesn't fit at all in this place. "What a pleasure to meet you!"
*Gale looks her up and down*
A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Cosmos. I'm Gale, of Waterdeep. I must say, you're not from around here, are you?
*he casts a quick diagnosis spell*
Ah, another victim of my messing with dimensional portals, I see.
I hope Astarion has been treating you well...is there anything that I can do for you?

She did follow him like a tired kid, shuffling through the hallway while following the Supe like a parent. Her eyes were big and underlined with eye shadows, the orange hair slightly messy.
She did listen to Homelander speaking about flying. Cosmos knew that feeling. Very well. And she missed it. But it hurt to think about it so she blinked it away. That was until they halted in front of her room for the night.
Her eyes widened, fixated on that huge bed. A place. A home. Something she deeply missed, almost never really had. "Oh my God.... I.. I don't know how to thank you. You have no idea what this means to me but if there... someday... might be something that you need help with, I will make sure to be there. I promise." She exclaims.
Cosmos walked past Homelander, eyeing the room like a castle. As if she never had a home... Then she plopped down onto the bed, not really caring that Homelander still stood at the open door. She didn't want anyone to see her like this. Broken in success. Staring at the ceiling with a blank, exhaust glaze over her eyes. A few tears streamed down her cheeks. The tears had a mysterious glittering glow to them, shining in the dark like stars.
"Thank you, Homelander. You're the real hero." She mumbled, grinning over to him.
"Hi there! I found this cute... wolf? He reeks of you so finding its owner was easy." The ginger haired girl stepped out of nowhere into his office, holding the canine in her hands before placing it down.
Homelander blinks as he stares at the girl and then at Zeus. “Oh. He must’ve gotten out of the apartment. Thank you for bringing him here. He’s a bit of a troublemaker.” He snickered as he picked Zeus up and gave him pets while the little wolf howled and licked at the Supe.
“Uh…I’ll have Ashley give you a reward. He’s uh…a menace but very special to me. Thank you.” He said with a smile.

"Oh I will gladly help you with that. And don't worry. I'll look out for you." Cosmos replies, a soft and surprised look on her face.
She did not expect Astarion to actually care and even ask her to stop. It was something she's barely ever experienced. That's why she gladly agrees to helping the vampire with almost anything she was capable of.
"No one has ever... really listened to me. A few. But you're different. You don't think I'm sick or evil... I'll help you, gladly. Just because I feel very... valid." She whispers, observing Astarion.
Cosmos watches the vampire gulp down her own , glittering blood that probably looked like a drug. It was odd but she didn't really mind.
The girl sighs and decides to at least get herself prepared for anything. Stepping up, she blinks and the same rainbowish glow appears in her eyes, replacing the original eye color with an ever changing rainbow.
Placing her hands on both of his shoulders to ground him as he takes the blood, her whole shape seemingly glowing slightly in general.
The woman in clothes that were modern style... a dress and sneakers and a college jacket... appeared out of nowhere, seemingly falling out of the air in front of Astarion.
She tilts her head, beaming a little as she didn't seemed too surprised. "Oh hi!" She greets.
"Ah! What the-... You scared the living-... the undead shit out of me. Um..."
"GALE...! Did one of your insane experiments intend to summon a girl dressed like a colourful urchin out of the ether?!"

She couldn't help but sigh, releasing some tension. "Never been better." She replies, giving him a beaming grin that he possibly knew too well. That smile that assures you that the person probably caused hell to keep problems together just to turn to the world and smile. "And no problem for the milk. I'll gladly share more with you... after all I have this pretty room thanks to you down the hall." She mentions.
Steps up, covered in black blood, smiling and handing him a glass of milk. "Here. You seem busy." She mumbles and walks off again.
Homelander eyes her as he takes the glass of milk, tilting his head. “Yeah…seems like I’m not the only one. Bad day?” He asked, taking a sip from the glass.
