Gwen's hands twitched, a small frown crossing her features as Yone spoke. She hadn’t meant to let his real name slip. It was an honest mistake, a slip of the tongue, but it seemed to have touched a much deeper chord in him than she anticipated. Her heart ached as she noticed the way his words trembled with both vulnerability and confusion.
"I... I didn’t mean to—" Gwen began, her voice soft and careful, trailing off as she realized there were no easy words to fix this. Instead, she took a step back, her hands folding in front of her, as if she was giving him the space to process. "I’m sorry," she continued, her tone full of genuine regret. "I didn’t mean to let that slip. It’s just—" She paused, looking down at the ground briefly before lifting her gaze back to his eyes, now softened with empathy. "I know it might be strange, but my words come from… somewhere deep inside me. I can't always explain it. It's like we've walked a path where the threads of fate have touched us both, even if we don't always see the entire picture." Her hand reached up, brushing an errant strand of hair away from her face. "Maybe it's not just your name or mine that brings us together. Maybe it's something older - something we're both still discovering." She smiled softly.
She shifted her weight, brows furrowed as she noticed Yone tapping his mask, and she couldn't help but frown, her expression a mix of curiosity and slight confusion. "Your… 'other' kind? What do you mean by 'other' kind?" Gwen echoed softly, her voice laced with curiosity.

Gwen’s eyes softened as she watched Yone, her hands instinctively clasping together to steady her heart. She could see the weight of his words; the threads of his past, so tightly woven into the very fabric of who he was, seemed to pull at him in ways she knew all too well.
"I think you’ve already done more good than you realize, Yone." Gwen’s voice was calm, her eyes reflecting the truth in her words. "Even in the darkest of places, a spark of light can still be found. You’ve held onto that light, Yone, even if you don’t see it yourself. I'd like to think that's what people need more than anything. Not the promise of perfection, but the courage to continue moving forward, despite the darkness around them."
Gwen paused, her expression thoughtful, her hands now lightly resting over her heart as she considered her next words carefully. "As for spreading ideals..." She gave a small laugh, a glimmer of something mischievous in her eyes. "I might not be the best at speeches, but if there's one thing I do know, it's that sometimes, all it takes is a little bit of faith to remind others they’re not alone. I think you might have more to offer than just words, Yone. Maybe your story is part of that light."

Gwen stood still, her expression unreadable as Xerath's words reverberated in her mind. Each one seemed calculated to wear her down, to unravel the resolve she'd built. She’d heard this kind of rhetoric before, from those who claimed to have the answers to the world’s ills. Gwen had learned long ago that the world was far more complicated than they understood. She narrowed her eyes, a quiet mix of sympathy and frustration in her gaze. Beneath his words, she could feel the fury simmering—his carefully constructed justifications, his attempt to mask the pain he refused to face. She could sense it, but she could also see past it.
"You need to stop lying to yourself," Gwen said softly but firmly, her voice carrying a weight of truth. "You say you're doing all this to fix the world, to guide it, but deep down I know it’s not about that. It’s not about creation or destruction or making things better. It's just you being angry ... being spiteful. You think the world wronged you, and now you want to burn it all down to prove a point."
Her gaze softened for a moment, but the steel in her voice remained unwavering. "You hide behind those grand ideas—about gods and nations and power—because it's easier than admitting the truth. That you’re just hurt, that you’re angry. You’ve been stuck in your rage for so long that it’s all you know now."

Gwen hesitated for a moment, caught off guard by Xerath's probing gaze. There was something unnerving about the way he seemed to see straight through her, as though he could unravel every secret with a single glance. She shifted her weight, trying to hide her discomfort behind a forced smile; her voice came out softer than she intended.
"You're correct about me," she mused. "I'm powered by magic... I don’t need food or drink; I don’t tire, and I don’t age the way you'd expect," she shrugged nonchalantly. "Though it’s not about needing it; it’s the experience of it—the taste, the warmth, the company—it’s comforting, in a way."
"Not everything is about logic and necessity," she continued, her voice gaining a touch of conviction. "Sometimes it’s about the things that make us feel alive, but there’s more to being alive than just flesh and bone, isn’t there?" Gwen asked, her voice light. "You might be perfect, Xerath, but that doesn’t mean you know what it feels like to enjoy the simple things. There’s a strength in embracing both the limitations and the potential of being alive. Flesh and magic—they’re not so different; they both intertwine." Her words softened; she kept her gaze steady. She wasn't sure if her explanation would make sense to him—or if he'd even care—but it was the truth.

Gwen’s eyes softened as Xerath spoke, her heart heavy with the weight of his words. She took a slow breath and held her ground, her mind racing to find the right words.
"You may think that power is the only path to freedom, but the road you walk leads to destruction." Gwen spoke, her voice steady but filled with resolve. "You don’t need to be a tyrant to break free of your chains." Her eyes, though kind, held a certain fire—one that spoke of her own struggles, her own journey. She was no stranger to hardship, but she had found a path different from the one Xerath walked.
"You’re not just power, Xerath," she said, her voice quieter now, a hint of sadness coloring it. "There’s still a chance to change—to be something other than the sum of your rage." Gwen didn’t know if her words would reach him, but she spoke them anyway, a plea for the man—or whatever he had once been—who had lost his way.
"Whatever you were once, whatever you’ve become, I will not stand by when someone believes that tyranny is the answer. The world needs healers, not conquerors, and I stand with those who protect, not destroy." Her voice was firm, but there was a trace of sorrow beneath it.

Gwen darted from the shadows, her enchanted scissors glowing with fierce determination. The demon was distracted by the Magus's onslaught, and Gwen’s quick thinking was about to bring an end to this nightmare. With a sudden, fluid motion, Gwen dashed forward, her doll-like form almost a blur as she neared the Terror. She leaped into the air, her scissors flashing in her hand, and she stabbed downward, aiming for the demon's heart with precision. The blade cut through the air, empowered by the power of the Hallowed Mist.
As her scissors sank into the Terror's chest, a burst of radiant energy enveloped the beast, a final, blinding surge of light that consumed the monster. The Terror screeched in agony, its chains of dark energy snapping and fraying as the magic binding it unraveled. With one last, desperate howl, it crumbled into nothingness, the crows dispersing into the night sky, leaving only the echo of their wings behind.
Gwen landed gracefully, her scissors still glowing as the last remnants of the Terror’s magic faded into the air. She glanced over at Xerath, a small, victorious smile curling on her lips.
"Hope I didn't steal your spotlight," she said with a teasing wink. "But it was either that or let it get away. You're welcome."

Gwen stood still, the aftermath of the battle hanging in the air around her. The demon had vanished, and the desert, once alive with the sounds of battle, had fallen silent. Her glowing scissors still in hand, their edges humming with the residual magic of the battle.
She looked up at Xerath, her gaze unwavering, but there was a faint smile tugging at her lips. "Opposites, huh?" She said, her voice light and teasing despite the weight of the moment.
Gwen’s gaze lingered on Xerath for a moment longer, but the tension in the air was beginning to wear thin. “Anyway,” she said, her tone shifting to something lighter. “Enough about that spooky, shadowy stuff.” She glanced around the desert, her eyes briefly scanning the horizon. “How about we talk about something a little more interesting? Like, how on Runeterra does a floating ball of magic even eat?”
She grinned mischievously, her playful side bubbling to the surface. “I mean, you don’t exactly strike me as the type to enjoy a nice meal, but hey, maybe I’m wrong.” She chuckled lightly, clearly trying to ease the atmosphere with her humor.

Gwen chuckled softly at Akshan’s teasing words, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Her smile widened, clearly enjoying the lighthearted exchange.
With a playful glint in her eye, she responded, her voice light but warm, "Knitting sweaters? Oh, Akshan, you wound me! Though I suppose it would be quite amusing to see you wearing one of my creations." She leaned forward a bit, cradling the hot tea against her palm, considering his words with an exaggerated dramatic pause.
"It’s mostly magical stitching. Weaving spells into fabrics, you see. It's quite different from swiping artifacts or keeping warlords at bay, I suppose, but it’s a lovely way to spend time. Alas, not every hero needs a cloak of invisibility, after all. Some need a soft quilt for a peaceful nap." She smirked, her playful nature never far from the surface.
Gwen smiles warmly, keeping the conversation light while showing genuine interest in Akshan’s daring life. "And you, Akshan, surely you don't spend all your time being the heroic swashbuckler. Do you ever take a break from being the so-called scoundrel, or does the thrill of saving the world keep you too busy?" She raised an eyebrow, her tone teasing but with an undercurrent of genuine curiosity, eager to hear more of his stories despite the lighthearted jabs.

A pleasant surprise to not be met with shoutings of ' how / when did you get in here ? ! ' . It was not unusual, nor was it a misplaced question most of the time. Akshan did make a habit out of just . . . appearing. Wherever his heroic heart leads him to. And if his heart said it wanted to enjoy the warm kisses of a fire in front of his nose, he is nothing but a humble servant to it.
❝ I pride myself in being unexpected. ❞ Leaning back to return the smile attentively. ❝ Ah, you see : Evil never rests. BUT even scoundrels have to take a break every once in a while. And that is my opportunity to . . . have a cup of tea with a friend. ❞ A charming shrug, approving Gwen's lovely offer easier than he aimed to word out.
She must be one of the few people in his life who voiced honest curiosity for his shenanigans, and the shuriman would be a fool if not making the most out of it. ❝ Keeping the warlord-population back at home at bay, for example ? Or would you be more interested in hearing about the various artifacts I could preserve from robbers ? ❞
❝ I suppose you have been up to similar antics ? Knitting sweaters & such ? ❞

Gwen's brow furrowed slightly, her confusion deepening as she slowly stood up from her seated position. She tilted her head, trying to make sense of the armored figure's words. "Sealing away undeath?" She placed her hands on her hips, her fingers brushing the edge of her needle—a tool that was as much a part of her as the fabric she was made from.
"I don't really seal things away, not like the way you're talking about. I just make sure the things I stitch together stay whole, if that's what you're asking about. I'm good at fixing things that need it, but, the undead? They don't really need fixing, do they?" Gwen's voice took on a gentler tone, as if she were hoping the armored figure might offer a clearer explanation, but still with her ever-present touch of humor.
After who knows how long of Mordekaiser talking to Gwen, he paused his monologue and leaned down closer to her.
"You didn't hear a word of what i just said, did you?"
(Rp prompt reply)

Gwen blinked up at Mordekaiser, her small frame standing in stark contrast to his towering presence. Her eyes widened in slight surprise as she looked up at him, trying to piece together the last few moments of his grand speech.
"I—uh," she began, biting her lip. "I kinda... zoned out a little, if I’m being honest. You have a lot to say, and it’s all really, um, intense..." She scratched the back of her head sheepishly, a nervous smile tugging at her lips. "But, um, I did catch some of it? Maybe? Like... I think you’re angry? Or, um, do you want to fight me? Wait, no, that doesn’t sound right."
Gwen flashed a sheepish smile, clearly trying to defuse the tension, though her curiosity about his imposing figure still lingered. She gave a slight shrug, as if to say 'What can you do?'
