I think what is a bigger issue here is that the site refers to LGBT+ people as the "Stonewall community". Erasure to be sure, but I think it is also an attempt to reframe criminalization and marginalization as both correct and also rare bc of the reference to the bar.

I know this hyper individualistic toxic generation hates to hear this but you, in fact, do owe people basic decency and respect. You do owe the close people in your life attention and reciprocation for their actions. Believe it or not, we live in a society and nobody exists in vacuum. So many of the issues we are currently facing collectively can be attributed to how disconnected we have become from one another and how selfish and unconsidered of others we are. Putting yourself first doesn’t mean becoming anti-social, labels in social relationships come with expectations.

You've got to meet them where they're at.
If you are making calls to Republican politicians about not supporting certain bills, remember to stick to Republican scripts. No trying to play on their emotions. Don't talk about people dying or marginalized people being hurt or anything like that. That doesn't work on them.
Instead, focus on:
Cost. These Republican bills have MASSIVE costs that either tax payers take the brunt of or it goes into the national debt.
Withholding your vote. You weren't going to vote for them anyway, but they have absolutely no way of knowing that. Even if you've said in other places, they are not researching every single person who calls to see who's a Republican. You're just another constituent using your vote as leverage. Take advantage of that.
Hard-working Americans/working class Americans/veterans/etc. Figure out the specific group of people that politician campaigns the hardest to and talk about them and how they'll be hurt by whatever is happening.
Trump's stupid fucking bill isn't cruel and evil and it's not going to kill millions of people, it's a huge financial strain that will drastically increase the national debt while hurting working class Americans who just need a bit of help and you would never consider voting for someone who would support it.

I noticed my YouTube shorts algorithm got flooded with anti birth control content literally the SAME WEEK Roe was overturned. It's not a coincidence.
Today's campaigns start on social media.
this might sound stupid but I can’t help but believe that the new wave of “birth control is actually horrible for your body, you need to get off it immediately” misinformation from influencers and the ‘natural cycle tracking’ apps suddenly being advertised is a sneaky underhanded way of causing more unplanned pregnancies that people now cannot abort. now is possibly the worst time ever to turn towards ‘natural family planning’
