Diner.

The diner was small and the beams of light that broke through the window in thin lines were glazing over the sunburnt orange color of the ripping plastic booth chairs. The sounds of families morning chatter molded together into background mumbles as Han moved like clockwork. His utensils clashed musically, as he poured his steaming coffee and poured the syrup over Luke’s pancakes for him. To which, Luke grinned a little bashfully. 

The two of them were lucky to have this moments peace. Han was grateful that he was even able to convince Luke to escape to a breakfast alone at all. He wasn’t looking forward to the packed Christmas evening they’d be having at Luke and Leia’s later. The radio playing over their heads was full of static but it was welcoming nonetheless. 

‘I got a peaceful easy feelin', And I know you won't let me down....’  

Luke stuck his fork into his pancakes and shoved it into his mouth and Han shook his head from behind his tipped coffee mug. Luke swallowed and then shot a smirk of sorts to Han. He knew Luke well enough to know that he was more than excited to see his family later. But he also knew that Luke was also more than appreciative to have this quiet morning. 

‘And I found out a long time ago what a woman can do to your soul. Aw but she can't take you any way, You don't already know how to go. 

I got a peaceful easy feelin'. And I know you won't let me down. 'Cause I'm already standin' on the ground...’

Luke playfully kicked the quiet man from under the table and gave him a challenging little grin. Han laughed softly, reaching over and ruffling Luke’s hair from across the table. “Eat your bacon, Kid.”

Random 70′s Skysolo Hc’s

~Luke is in love with 70′s soft rock and AM Pop. His favorite thing to do is just drive down empty roads with The Eagles or America blasting. He is constantly chasing that feeling of freedom. 

~Luke’s hair is blonde, so it heats up when it’s warm outside. So Han likes to rest his chin on the top of his head when they stand together. 

~Han likes a lot of stuff like Johnny Cash, Jackson Browne, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Led Zeppelin. 

~He also loves those open-road rock songs. But he can also be found driving to ‘Goin’ Up The Country’ by Canned Heat.

~Their favorite kind of dates are sitting on the hood of Han’s crappy but somehow cool van while the sun lays over them. 

~And Han explains for the millionth time why ‘Sister Golden Hair’ by America makes him think of Luke. And Luke pretends he hasn’t heard it before. 

~Luke wears a lot of oranges, yellows and floral. He likes those round glasses with the different colored lenses. He has a bunch of them. Leia borrows them sometimes. 

~Han’s favorite hobby is finding new but old diners to go to for breakfast. His favorites are the homey, family owned little joints. He and his friend, Chewie go in and order whatever the recommended dish is. 

~Han and Luke often end up sitting in the back of Han’s shag carpeted van at midnight just listening to the radio. Luke lays on his back, legs leaning up the side of the van. Han sits against the wall next to him. 

~Whenever Luke is stressed about school, Han tries to calm him down by telling him some ridiculous story of his. 

~Luke LOVES The Monkees

~Han is completely sure that Luke and Leia are going to do big things in the world. Sometimes he’s afraid he isn’t enough for Luke. 

~Luke sews patches onto Han’s jean jackets for him. Sometimes there band logos and sometimes there just stuff Luke picked out for him. (Leia taught him how to sew)
