Winx Girls in TWICE's Cheer Up Era Outfits

Decided to continue on with my little (?) series on what outfit from each of Twice's era would the Winx club girls wear (here's the Like Ooh Aah version Following the chronological order, next we have the Page Two or better known as the "Cheer Up" era. I guess i should make clear that im not including their Japanese eras just cause it would be too long of a series (and idk if this one is interesting enough already lol 😅)

Anyways enough chatter, let's get on with the show!

Bloom

If there is one thing I believe in, it's that Bloom loves denim. Given her look from seasons 1-3, it made sense to me that she would also own a pair of denim shorts. The white long sleeve top is simple but such an effective combo with the shorts. This just screams "girl next door" vibes, suiting Bloom 100%.

I am a believer of Stella in matching fits. I am picturing this being a more darker pink. Like the magenta of her season 3 gown. I don't know if Stella would have her name on the side, but maybe some kind of other print. But yeah this is a Stella look through and through.

Flora

The silhouette of this dress reminded me of my Flora's season 4 outfit. I don't have much to say about this 😅. Flora was the last person who i found an outfit for since i couldn't perfectly picture them in most of them. When I saw this one, I thought it was cute, simple and sweet very much like Flora. If this was an individual fit, then I would change the racing patterns to be in pastels and instead of vertical stripes maybe a more whimsical shape (not flowers necessarily something different to shake things up) like swirls. But if this was part the ensemble Stella designs for the group circa season 4 and onward then I would keep it as is.

Aisha

A sporty look for our active Aisha. I like the loose fabrics with the open shirt and crop top. The turquoise shorts are perfect. No notes, this was made for Aisha.

Musa

I love the idea of Musa wearing cropped sweatshirts/hoodies. The drawing strings in the middle are such a cool detail. Obviously I would change the pink to be red and bam! With the red, white and black we get a quintessential Musa look.

Tecna

The top reminded me of the ones she wears in season 1-3. The arm bands are so Tecna-coded to me I don't know how to explain it. Similar note as Flora's, if this was part of a group ensemble fit i would keep as is. But if this was an individual outfit, we ditch the stripes and go into solid holo colors for it and have the arm bands be in lilac or green.

One Month Until Toast Babies Week!

August 24, 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of the release of Mockingjay and thus the same length of time that it took for Katniss and Peeta to decide to have their first child, showing that Panem became a world where children can be safe.

In celebration, we're hosting a Toast Babies Week from August 24-30. This event is two fold: a fanworks event and a charity fundraiser.

For the fanworks event: share fanart, fanfiction, meta, moodboards, fanvideos, headcanons, podfic, and whatever else you want to create about the Everlark family.

Iconic Red Outfits from Female Characters in Animation

After watching on YouTube the "best dresses in cinema" videos by Modern Gurlz, I started thinking about what would the lists look like if dresses from animated media appeared. By thinking, I mean hyperfixating. Hence I embarked on my own journey to present an overview of animated female outfits for every color of the rainbow!

Some disclaimers/notes:

I am no fashion nor animation expert, this is purely subjective and not a ranking

I have not seen every piece of animated medium, in fact most of the contenders came from animated movies and tv shows from my childhood (hence the very specific title)

The change from "dresses" to outfits was because there were not that many dresses

I allowed a franchise to have a maximum of 3 outfits on the list (this will make sense with other colors later on... then again who knows if anyone is interested in seeing the rest lol)

For an outfit to be considered, the main color/the color that stands out (so hair does not count)

Okay that was enough rambling and hopefully I articulated my thoughts well-enough, without further ado here are what I think to be 10 memorable red outfits from female characters in animation

Sailor Mars' Sailor Senshi uniform from Sailor Moon (1992)

Starting off with arguably the mother of red magical girls is miss Rei Hino/Sailor Mars. She was the first one who came to mind when thinking about the color red. There is so much symbolism to appreciate here. Like yeah there's the obvious "Mars is the red planet" and red represents blood and war etc But also it's how Rei is the guardian of passion, and red is considered the most passionate color. Rei, who holds so much vigor for her duties and goals, like red is absolutely her color. Also we all know how iconic her heels are.

Musa's Magic Winx fairy form from Winx Club (2004)

Next up, another iconic red magical girl! What to say about Musa here, for me she is my favorite magic Winx design. For the Winx girls overall, their color schemes are so unique in that they don't follow the color associated with their powers. Musa and red is genius when we think about again how red symbolizes passion, and Musa's character arc is about not holding herself back (i.e allowing herself to get close to the Winx and form friendships, standing up against her father and perform onstage, expressing herself to Riven). On outfit details specifically, i just love how the top and skirt are connected by the mesh fabric. And I'm obsessed with the platform boots.

Katara's Fire Nation outfit from Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005)

As much as we love Katara in blue, her in the red was so refreshing. The silhouette suits her perfectly. Katara with long skirts is a match made in heaven. I also love the shades/tones? of red picked for her. The top being a more muted shade as to not overwhelm her facial features and then the variation on the bottom. We all know it and love it.

Lina's pixie form from Bratz: Fashion Pixiez (2007)

Who remembers her???? 👀 She was my favorite of the Bratz villains. It has been a while since I've seen the movie though, but I just remember her being vicious and looking fabulous as seen here. The red long sleeves underneath the black tee is such a y2k look. The shade of red contrasts with the black, in a way that demands attention on Lina. Plus we have the gorgeous red butterfly on the tee, all sparkly and elegant adding to her allure. Then the magenta and red skirt over the jeans. I know we all hate on the obsessive layering in the 2000s, but miss Lina just looks fabulous. Her whole look is stylish and alluring, perfect for a Bratz villain.

Eden Starling's red Christmas gown from Barbie in a Christmas Carol (2008)

I wish this dress got more screen time because it is gorgeous!!! Its so festive without being tacky. I don't know anything about seasonal colors but Eden looks so much lively in the red than the green dress at the start. The skirt looks like its made out of velvet. I don't care about historical accuracy here, Eden stuns.

Apple White's casual outfit from Ever After High (2013)

Oh she knows that red is her color. With a name like Apple, of course her main color is apple red. The bow and crown headband combo is adorable. Her bodice is this vibrant red and the way the skirt poofs out!!!! Ugh I love the outer layer being more lighter and the inner layer darker with gold. And the shoes!? The shoes!?!? I said I wasn't going to rank them but this is a personal top 3.

La Muerte's outfit from The Book of Life (2014)

We need to talk more about this film in general but anyways....THE LADY IS STUNNING!!! First off, the giant sombrero is iconic in itself. Such a romantic red paired with the candles on top and the skulls on the rim. I love the silhouette of the dress with how the sleeves are puffier but the skirt is like mermaid style (???) La Muerte is my favorite character from the film and one of my favorite Latina characters overall.

Apple White's dragon riding outfit from EAH: Dragon Games (2016)

I fear Apple has slayed again. The dress is simple but its practical given she is riding a dragon and all that. I'm a sucker for the tunic and leggings combo. Even with the silver and gold, the red stands out. Its probably my second favorite Apple look (her casual being 1st).

Elena's formal gown from Elena of Avalor (2016)

My girl Elena is so underrated and for what??? Like when thinking about the Disney gals, Elena is the first who comes to mind as the representative of the color red. She looks so gorgeous here. The red is on the darker, more muted side, and it compliments her features so well. I love the sleeves and the bow. Kind of going back to the symbolism of it all, red showcases Elena's backstory pretty well. Red's association with blood has also denoted the color with connotations to courage and sacrifice. Elena's story begins with her decision to face Shuriki alone to save her sister and grandparents. The bold color matches Elena's drive and i love her and its time we recognize her more 😤

Applejack's ballgown from Equestria Girls: Legend of Everfree (2016)

Last but certainly not least is this AJ ensemble! I know there is a general distate towards the EQ designs and the fashion. But listen, I like this look on Applejack. The collar, almost jacket bodice is so cool to me. And the skirt is not really frilly, so its not overtly feminine aka un-AJ like. I don't what else to say but I think its a neat outfit and Applejack deserved to wear more red.

Anyways thats the end of my list! Thanks for sticking around for this long lol. I know it probably wasn't as detailed as some would have liked. Or vice versa maybe it was way too long. was kinda pondering the scene where people started calling in from all around the world to help elio and olga fly through the debris and how it really really got to me emotionally and I think it has to do with the way it just drastically increases the scope of the movie’s message. obviously a huge part of the film is elio realizing he’s not alone on a personal level (he has glordon, olga loves and wants him, etc) but this moment really hammers home that No One Is Alone because there is a whole world of wonderful people out there that you can and will meet if you just let yourself find them. so yeah many tears were cried

The Winx girls in outfits from TWICE'S Like Ooh Aah era

My two current hyperfixations collide into this idea and I have gone down a rabbit hole on Pintrest looking at the different eras from Twice and seeing what I think each of the Winx gals would wear

(Just be extra clear these images are from Pinterest, i don't own any of them)

Bloom:

I saw the denim jacket and instantly thought of Bloom. Idk why but I just associate Bloom with denim. The simple white top is cute and the shade of blue in the skirt is very much in Bloom's colors. The plaid design is also cute.

Stella:

So I picked this one because of it being a matching set. I think Stella is the type to rock the matching look. I would actually keep it in the black for Stella and instead of it being with white paint splatter design I would change it to be sparkles. It would be giving night sky you know? Kind of a more mature look Stella would wear maybe around season 3 (my hc that she explores her moon powers more around that time)

Flora:

This one could be a stretch i know, i also promise that's its the last Sana outfit here (her fits just worked better for the first 3 girlies) Anyways, what sold this as Flora to me was the white lacey top. I can't really tell if its flowers or not but either way I think Flora would wear lacey things. As for the black top and skirt, I don't think she would go that dark, maybe if it was a forest green it would work and instead of the white text have it be some kind of flowers or leaves. But the silhouette and shape of the fit is what makes Flora-esque to me.

Aisha:

Right away I knew this was Aisha. No notes its perfect. I'm pretty sure in season 2 Aisha has a look where its a cropped tank and green cargo pants, so this is pretty much the irl version of it. Again this would be a 10/10 on Aisha

Musa:

It's cute but not overly feminine for our tomboy Musa. When I picture Musa in skirts this is what i think of, not the monstrosity of s4. I think Musa is one of the few girls of the group to wear blacks and greys and the plaid skirt just makes sense to me.

Tecna:

Okay okay again hear me out on this one. The color scheme is totally wrong for Tecna but the sweater itself matches her vibes. I love the color blocking, it adds a geometric element that I think suits Tecna. Rather than the reds, blues, and muted green, i was picturing more of a muted magenta, a darker emerald green and maybe like an icy/off-white blue. The leather bottoms are fine as is. Overall, I see this as a fit Tecna would wear for a casual party (like the one in s1 before the minotaur)

So yeah if you stuck around for this long thanks for reading my rambles. I am not a fashion expert so the vocabulary in describing clothes is probably off. Umm let me know if I should I make this series and post for the other eras 😅

I am spoiling the live action Lilo & Stitch. And I am doing it up front and plainly.

Do not fucking see this movie. Do not waste your money on this. Period.

They made Nani give Lilo up to the American government. They made Nani LEAVE Hawaii and pursue being a marine biologist. They made a native Hawaiian character give up her sibling to pursue a dream that she originally did not have. This is imperialist propaganda at its FINEST.

The original fucking movie is about family staying together. It's about indigenous people being able to stay with each other and stay in their home and be together! That's the whole fucking point! Nani is Lilo's last living relative on her homeland—it is jarring, it is disgusting and disturbing that Nani would not only leave her last blood relative alone, give her up to the very government that is harming native Hawaiians TODAY, but also travel to the "mainland" for her dream!

Not to mention, Nani's actress isn't fucking Hawaiian. She's much paler in photos and real life. They fucking darkened her for this movie.

Don't even get me started on the transgender subtext of Pleakley's "human" disguise from the original movie being completely erased in favor of him being played by a regular ass white man. Jumba doesn't have his accent, they made him more villainous, and his "human" disguise is a non-fat white man—which part of his original joke, I know, is that he was bigger and was more clumsy in the movie because of his size, but to have the main shape of his character completely removed is also fucking weird.

This live action movie is a desecration to the original. I encourage you to not see it, please. Don't give Disney any of your money on this one. Just watch the original. Please just watch the original.

The new message in the live action movie is disturbing and gross.

Nevermind Noah Wyle acting his longing for Heather and jealousy of her talking to another man with his eyes and his face and body language and everything else.

Nevermind Noah Wyle confirming in interviews that Robby has feelings for Heather that may be explored next season.

It's so much easier for y'all to put two canonically straight characters into a romantic relationship (I'd argue that Dr. Abbott is Robby's ACTUAL best friend) than for you to imagine he could be in love with or pining after a Black woman. A dark skinned, natural-haired no make-up wearing plain old beautiful Black woman.

He doesn't want to be with her. Nooooo, they're just friends. He secretly wants to fuck his male best friend ... they gave each other a hug it's obviously sexual tension there!

I'll probably delete this but I saw that shit and it really pissed me off.
