"Sound marvelous." He'd motion for her to lead the way. Erik would fall in step beside her and follow whichever way they needed to go. His hands pushed into his coat pockets as they walked.
"I am, yes." As he walked his head was turned slightly in her direction. "Sometimes I do. I do have a handful of memories that...aren't so pleasant He gave a slightly weak smile but didn't dwell on it.

“There is a café not too far from here that has some pâtisseries that remind me of home.” Lehane tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. “Allow me to show you the way.” She hugged her bag a bit closely to her. Something about the man before her was so enchanting that she didn’t want to leave his presence yet. She couldn’t quite place her finger on it just yet, but it was there.
“You are from Allemagne, non?” She paused. “Do you miss it?”

Erik would smile, just a hint of something dark behind it. "Danke. I'm sure I will find him. It's just a natter of time."
He'd raise his brows "Oh, not at all. It is about lunch time isn't it? Did you have somewhere in mind? I'm not... incredibly familiar with the area as of yet."

Her brow quirked. The government. German or American, she had to wonder. Or perhaps neither. Lehane only nodded her head. “I see. Well that must be exciting. I wish you luck on finding that certain someone.” She said, smiling once again.
“But in the meantime, and forgive me if this is too forward, how would you feel about getting some lunch?”

None of the above, really. Revenge was what motivated him, powered his drive to find Shaw, no matter what it took. "I suppose it is. Although I have gotten to travel a bit." Not that he spent much time taking in the sights.
Erik considered what she asked for a moment. "I work for the government " Well... it wasn't a full lie as of the time. "Currently I'm looking for someone, let's leave it at that hm?"

Business? Lehane could only wonder what a good looking man like him was involved with. Perhaps it had something to do with modeling. Or perhaps he was even a lawyer. There were so many possibilities, and her curiosity was getting the better of her. “Ah, c’est triste.” She commented, nodding her head.
“Work as well. I mostly work in New York and Los Angeles now. Er - I model.” She knew she was rambling a bit. Oh well. “What do you do?”

"Well I wouldn't say you were my best friend, no." He'd give a bit of a smirk. "But you seem like I'm about to start something here while you're looking for your notebook." He gave a small shrug "I didn't think that I was being hostile."
He wouldn't know much of any betrayal at this time. He'd only just met her within his own timeline. "But, don't worry. Charles will be back soon enough and you can leave, since you are so eager."
In the Library
Moira raised an eyebrow. True, this was not the Erik she had known, but there was still that familiar quality about him. He was… superior in his opinions, she knew. But she wondered if he knew about her betrayal from the other world.
“Perhaps ye have now,” she admitted, still wary. ”But have ye nae heard o’ some things? Or at least… Any time I’ve come across someone who was even aware o’ the other me, well… Erik there’s really no secret that we’re hardly the best o’ friends.”

"He is one of the only friends I have." Erik was still at a stage where he was wary to trust anyone. Charles had found a way past that. Probably through the fact the man knew everything about Erik.
He looked a little surprised at that knowledge "No. I didn't know. I'll have to talk to him about that. Only fair since he's spent so much time in mine." He had a feeling his fiend would oblige him. After a moment he'd speak again. "Where are my manners, did you want a drink or anything?"

She nodded as he spoke, perhaps she would have to lock that knowledge away, and leave a message for the professor warning him not to open it, for about 25 years. ”I’m surprised you let him” she said, “you two must be far better friends than I ever realized. I wonder, does he ever let you into his mind? Because he can do that as well you know.”

"Please, do I look like I'd do something like that. Also I don't classify myself as human."
“Well someone needs to clean up all the messes you humans make” her temper flared.

Erik would make his way over to stand on the opposite side of the desk, one hand resting on it. Personally it found it amusing that she was so intimidated by him. Especially when he hadn't done anything to warrant it at the time.
"What? Finding Shaw? I'm waiting on a few leads. Unless you have news, but that wasn't why you came." He gave a small shrug. "I wasn't expecting you here, so pardon by slight surprise when I saw you." He leaned just a touch closer. "Tell me, Moira, what is it about me that puts you on edge so easily? Have I been nothing but polite to you?"
In the Library
She pursed her lips, eyebrow cocked. ”O’ course nae, Erik. Ye’re an intelligent man. That’s something I’ve always found admirable, regardless o’ whether our opinions differ. But, I’d have thought ye’d have something more pressing t’ do on a day such as this.”
Crossing her arms, she could help but assume a position of defense. ”And ye looked as though I was some sort o’ cat burglar.”

"More planets being littered on? Must be hard work to be a space janitor." Of course he knew she was much more than that, but he did like annoying her to say the least.
“Good, dont really want to hear about ir anyway. I have a shit ton of problems to deal with right now. “

"Uh huh. I'll see if I can find it." He'd have crossed opposite of her so he could check more of the library. "It's likely he found it and moved it somewhere for safe keeping." He'd turn to face her after checking a shelf.
"Oh. The full name then." He seemed amused more than anything. "Am I in trouble?" His tone held a teasing sense to it. "It's nothing. You just seemed shocked that I was reading. It's not that unfathomable is it, Moira?"
In the Library
“Dark brown, leather binder. It’s my notebook fae one o’ my earlier experiments,” she explained. ”I referred t’ a source there that should be very significant in my most recent findings. I hate t’ be a bother, but it really is very important.”
She moved to the desk, lifting a stack of papers to see if it was underneath. ”I could have sworn I left it in here,” she said, exasperated.
She saw him raise a brow and returned him with a stern look. ”And what exactly is that expression for, Erik Lehnsherr?”

"Can't say I've seen it." Although, he hadn't even known to look for it. He'd make a quick scan of the area. Nothing really out of place that caught his attention. That didn't mean it wasn't here. "What did it look like?" He didn't disbelieve it was for her work. He didn't really see any reasons why she'd be sneaking around the mansion.
Erik could sense that she wasn't at ease being in a room with just him. He arched a brow slightly "I was just reading Charles' thesis. He should be back in a few hours. He'd probably know where you left the notebook."
In the Library
Moira stepped into the room, keeping her eyes out for the book, bound in dark brown leather and tied shut. It wasn’t on the table…
Her gaze flicked up to Erik, surprised to see him lounging in the library of all places. ”Aye, I was just looking for a book I’d left behind when I was here last week. It’s important t’ my work, I’m afraid. I wish it was merely a pleasure visit,” she explained with a tight smile.
Her guard was up, never fully trusting her safety in a room with Erik, regardless of his friendship with Charles. ”I widnae have expected t’ see ye in here, reading the day away. What’s caught yer fancy?”

"I'm sure I have plenty for you, I'm just not willing to give you a chance to even get started on my childhood."
She raised an eyebrow at him. “No more snarky comments?”

Erik had been looking over some of the books Charles had kept. Something to occupy his time while he waited for the man to return. He'd happened across a bound copy of his Thesis and figured he might as well see what his full theories were. It would give them something to talk about later. He sat in one of the arm chairs, leg's crossed and the book held at a comfortable distance while he read.
When he heard the doors open Erik would turn, expecting to see his friend. However, when it wasn't Charles a slightly confused expression passed his features. He'd close the book and stand, setting it where he had once been sitting. "Can I help you?" His tone wasn't annoyed, nor was he trying to be rude, but he didn't expect her there just for a social call.
In the Library
It was a nearly two hour drive to Salem Center, but Moira had carelessly forgotten a notebook that was essential to the study she had begun. She had carried it to the school weeks before to discuss the notes with Hank, to try and get a second opinion, but in the excitement of seeing old friends, had left it behind.
She made her way to the library. Now… Let’s see. We were catching up, laughing about Dr. Maulden’s theory on the latest… And then tea! We had tea.
Moira vaguely remembered setting it down on the coffee table—or was it the desk?— Hopefully it hadn’t been moved.
She pushed open the double doors without thinking that anyone would be in there.
“Oh, my apologies…”

Erik crossed his arms just pinning her under his gaze. He wasn't going to willingly open up and tell her about his past. He didn't tell very many people about it and the only reason Charles knew was his happened upon it due to his ability.
“I dont think thats possiable.” She said. “But ill bear that in mind.”
