travel essentials
Hello there, my name is Macey and I’m leaving for a ten day road trip to Colorado on Thursday (July 19th-29th). I find is acceptable to write a blog on things I believe that I need to bring with me or else I’d die. So come along, young ones, as I show you the things I thrive on.
h y g i e n e
I feel like this is a no brainer. Bringing things like a toothbrush and deodorant make me feel good, because you can’t feel good if you don’t smell good. A change of clothes for every day I’ll be gone, even if I know I won’t do anything some days.
r e m e m b e r a n c e
So,  I don’t know about you, but I have this super cute girlfriend that I haven’t seen in a week already. I won’t be able to spend time with her in the few days I have until I leave, so the next time I do get to see her it’ll be after almost a month of no being together. I don’t think I could survive this trip if I don’t have something from her on hand all the time. The first thing I have of hers is one of her jackets, and I’ll be wearing that almost every night. Another thing I have is around thirty index cards filled with some cute lovey thought from her. That’ll be put in a spot where I can easily access it any time I need it.
e n t e r t a i n m e n t
Another thing that might kill me on this trip would be boredom. We’ll be in a car for six hours, so that on it’s own might kill me. I have, in preparation, downloaded some of season two and three of Supernatural. If I might not be in the mood for Supernatural, I’m going to be bringing a book. I’m currently reading the Infernal Devices series, but if I don’t bring a book from that it might be a Red Queen novella that I feel needs to be read. We can’t forget music. I’m going to be downloading any Panic! At The Disco songs that have a music video. That’s mainly because I, for one, love panic!, and also because there are too many songs for me to be downloading them all.
m e m o r i e s
I know that I don’t need pictures to remember my time well spent with my friend, but they do serve as a great tool to look back on. So, of course, I’m bringing my phone. I plan to take many pictures to show to my girlfriend. I am also bringing a journal so that at the end of the say I can tell my future self what I did on this ten day vacation.
That’s all I have on my mind as of right now folks. Maybe you could stick around for a little bit? Anyways, I might do a post on my Colorado experience. Until next post, later losers.

why we need breaks
It is currently one a.m. as I’m writing this. Why am I writing a blog post so early in the morning, who knows?
Hello there, random person who happens to be finding themselves reading my post, the name’s Macey. I am currently participating in Camp NaNoWriMo, where I am finding myself doing nothing everyday except spilling out word after word trying to reach my goal before the month ends, and the main thing I’ve learned is that breaks are not optional.
Breaks are incorporated in many parts of your life. In school we have literally have a break every season. Every night is a break. There are lunch breaks, and when you get a chance you usually take breaks in between working. This is because breaks do good things for us, we just need to make the breaks help us.
Breaks are used to calm down after a long time of work so you can clear your head. If you work hour after hour, you will start to fog up and loose motivation and creativity. During breaks you can reset your energy, refill your creativity, or just do something that makes you feel good.
To end this, I guess I could give you different break ideas.
e n e r g y -take a nap, or just close your eyes for a period of time -eat something refreshing, like a smoothie or a sandwich -go for a run/walk -yoga, yoga is great
c r e a t i v i t y -read -podcasts -plan -talk to your peers about the work
f e e l   g o o d -watch a movie -dance parties -play with animals -watch animal videos actually that’d distract you
I hope I wrote a good and interesting post and that you took something from it. If you have any ideas for a blog, don’t be scared to message me. My asks are always open so go ahead and ask me a question. Alright, see you later lovelies.

create your morning routine
Hello there creatures of tumblr, I’m here to help you create your morning routine. Remember, a morning routine isn’t something that you have to live by every day. It’s more of a suggestion that might help your day be better. So, lets just get into this.
1) Set a time to wake up. This time should be a decent amount of time away from when you start to get into bed. I’ve been trying to go to bed around twelve am and wake up around nine. With this plan I’d get over eight hours of sleep, but hopefully not too much.
I currently have three alarms for the morning, each alarm a little louder. My ideal time to wake up is at nine, so along with that alarm I have one for eight-thirty and another one for nine-thirty. The first one I usually ignore if i don’t feel rested enough, but by the last alarm I usually force myself up. That is if it wakes me up.
2) Do something to wake you up right away. I usually fill up a glass by my bed with water every night so every morning I can take a drink. Most mornings I’m dehydrated, so that helps. I saw somewhere that drinking water in the morning helps you wake up. I’m not sure if it does help but I feel like it helps to believe that it does.
3) Figure out the rest of the routine. To help you out, here’s what I usually do in the morning.
-braid hair
-eat
-bullet journal
-yoga
Very simple. Braiding my hair puts my hair away for as long as I need it to be. Eating is something that everyone should try to include in their morning, it gives me energy to put into my day. Bullet Journaling helps me figure out my objective for the day. It’s something that I used to do at night, but I realized that I usually skip it more then because I forget. Yoga, I don’t always do this in the morning. Sometimes I have something more important that needs my attention, sometimes I just forget. I’ve been trying to get some Yoga in during the daylight, it’s another form of energy along with stretching.
When you create your very own bullet points, do it in order of convenience.
4) Something to launch you into your day. For me, as you see, it’s Yoga. For you, it could be another form of exercise. It could be reading, or journaling, or meditating. Something that calms you down but at the same time gets you ready for the day.
I hope this helps you in someway. I just had this little brain baby and decided to write it out in the middle of Camp NaNo. Well, I hope you all enjoy the rest of your days.
Bonus: What’s  your morning routine?

organize your physical space
Hello anyone viewing this, my name is Macey and welcome to my blog, and my first blog post. Before I get into the contents of this post I thought, since this is the first time I put something on here, It’s only right to give you a little introduction of myself and my blog.
As I’ve already said, my name is Macey.
I started this blog because I wanted to give myself a platform to share my ideas, mainly about being your personal best because that’s something I’m trying to achieve myself. If you have any questions for me or if you want to suggest a blog idea, don’t be afraid to message me. I’ll stop and actually get into this blog.

Nine Organization Tips
1) Label Things     Label anything that you need to. That drawer full of school supplies? Label it. That bin full of miscellaneous items? Label it. Become one with your true inner self, the one that labels everything. Why do this? When you come home from the store with a bunch of bags full of things you “can’t live without” you can see where to put everything so you don’t have things sprawled all over your room. When you’re looking for something specific, you can check in those places because that’s where it should be. If it isn’t there then remember to put it there when you find it and are finished with it.
2) Use Dividers/Bins      A great and easy way to organize is with dividers and bins. Dividers are what I call things like trays where you just set what you want on it, basically it just divides those things from the rest. Bins are more like bowls, cups, and, well, bins. They usually have more depth to them and will have layers if you just throw things in there. I use my dividers to organize the things that can be displayed, and I use my bins to organize things that aren’t as pleasing to look at.
Extra tip, you can use things already in your possession rather than going out on a shopping trip. As I’ve mentioned, cups and bowls qualify as bins for me. I use things like picture frames (i use one to hold my bodily smell goods) and old containers (i have a valentines cookie container for my lip products) as a substitute for dividers.
3) Get Rid Of Things You Don’t Need     If you’re wanting to get organized, you can make it that much easier by giving yourself less to organize. So go through all of your clothes, all of your drawers, all of your shelves. Find things that you can’t use anymore, that you don’t like, that you don’t need. Gather those things and throw away what you must and donate what you can. This is, in my mind, the best way to get organized.
4) Most Used Items     When you are organizing what you’re going to organize, bring the items you use the most to the front. This way it’ll be easier in your day-to-day life. You wouldn’t have to mess up what you worked so hard on to make it look good just because you can’t find something you need. For example, I have the books that I’m currently reading on another shelf on my bookshelves so that it’s easier to access and make it a little easier to read.
5) Give Away Bin     Throughout the next month and more, try to get rid of more things you don’t need. I suggest having a box or something to throw things in that you don’t want anymore so that you can give them away when you feel like you have enough. Continue to do this, so your life can be simpler with less things that don’t do anything for you.
6) To-Do List     After you finally get around to organizing what needs to be organized, you don’t really want to let it get out of control again. I mean, if you do want to, then you do you boo. Having a to-do list usually motivates me to cross everything off. Honestly, it’s so satisfying seeing the list completed. Create a to-do list before you start of everything you want to get done, and create more after.
7) Pick Up A Little     Using some of your free time to clean a little will make such a difference in the long run. Put away those papers that you’ve been done with for a while. Vacuum or sweep the floor. Take out the trash. Those simple little things could randomly start a deep clean at 2am.
8) Make Your Bed     I feel like this is a stereotypical tip, but if you can’t do more then make your bed everyday, that’s enough. With a clean bed your room can look so much better, or you could use it as a start to your cleaning. Or even if you still want to clean but have nothing left to clean.
9) #gyst     If you really want to continue to have an organized space, setting aside a day once a week to clean and get anything that you’ve been procrastinating done. I mentioned Kalyn Nicholson above, and she created a word for just that. Gyst stands for “Get Your Sh*t Together”. You still should spread out your chore list throughout the week., but taking one day out of your week, at the beginning, middle, or end, to get as much done as possible without taking too much out of you is a good idea that you should give a try.
That’s all I have for you today, I really hope you enjoyed reading this. I will be hopefully be posting blogs every other Monday, so make sure to check the blog again the week after next. If you have an blog ideas or if you have any other tips that I didn’t mention don’t be afraid to message me or send me an ask,
I just wanted to mention that I have so many “good” ideas that I drop as soon as I get bored of them or I don’t see them going anywhere. I hope that doesn’t happen with this blog because I want to push it and take it to many places, but I thought I should warn you.
Until next time!!
