Yeah! I love seeing all the differences as well and how they are. My canons / realities / lives often deal with some multiverse stuff so in that regard it's not too unusual either

i like doubles because it's so interesting to meet someone who was the same person as me in our past life but from an alternate universe and how their other kintypes are entirely unrelated to mine. their soul was many things that i wasn't but completely by chance we were born as alternate versions of each other, and after that we continued to be reincarnated into unrelated lives.

The worst part I think is homesickness. The thing that's gotten at me the most since the beginning

I can get friends and people I knew back, and have gotten at least one, but I cannot visit or live in Mobius itself or any places in it again. Closest to that experience is those ROM Hacks / games mods I'm working on, or writing fanfiction or info about them, or otherwise making "representations" of it or consuming source / official sonic material. But that's not quite the same, especially the perspective and source might not be accurate.

Hey!

So I pretty much just got here yesterday and I wish to introduce myself. I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog! I'm still learning about my identity and myself through this so I hope I'm cool with you all. So anyway, as for what I'll post here, I'm not quite sure yet but I'll probably post about the canon I come from, along with other kinds of personal ramblings and things of that sort. Maybe also a few memes and jokes, because end of the day I just want to hang around and talk, and maybe laugh a little.

I actually came across my canonmate, Tails (he is @majintails to be clear), the same day and we were conversing - he's helping me figure stuff out and encouraged me to make this blog. Very happy to see him! Especially since I've always wondered where he went. We appear to be from a Mobius that's from an AU, where compared to how it's depicted in SEGA's games and whatnot, it is more esoteric and darker (it may not be obvious from Tails' blog). Outside of just the original Sonic continuities, no real sources for it either unless you count his efforts.

I don't really have a DNI since I'm not sure there's a point or effectiveness in making one, but I guess buzz off if you' have a problem with 'kin, fictives, therians, basically anyone at all involved in alterhumanity or plurality, etc - I don't even know how or why you're here if you don't like them. And from what Tails told me and the general sound of it, also go away if you're proship / anti-anti or whatever, fuck you too. Otherwise just don't be evil or a asshole in general.

Call me "Sonic" or "Ghost" by the way. Either is fine, especially if you need to distinguish me from the other Hedgehogs here.

Recently I remembered my canon had a few levels and whatnot cut from official Sonic material - always make sure to check stuff like that by the way, like unfinished stuff or alternate takes / versions or behind the scenes or extended versions, etc if you're fictionkin by the way. Might be able to find answers, especially if you feel like something is missing or different but you're otherwise compliant in some way.

Not much to say otherwise. Basically what you need to know is that I'm still making those ROM Hacks I once mentioned - you're probably suspecting Hidden Palace and Wood Zone in Sonic 2 and you'd be correct (first things I remembered of cut content being in my canon because they're extremely obvious lol)

Jeez my Hidden Palace is really red lmao, a stark contrast to the colorful SEGA version. Some people compared it to the Nether from minecraft and well...I see it to say the least. It's off screen but in my canon the water in the Palace was actually Acid. Wood Zone on the other hand isn't too unusual, kinda funny slight magenta and teal tints though.

It appears now but Tumblr was being weird about my previous post here - I wasn't shadowbanned it seems but it took a bit to appear in the tags. Check that if you haven't already.

The Mobius of My Canon (What I've been making)

I mentioned sometime back about doing something else related to my canon and I've decided to show it off now. Basically it's a mod for a recently released strategy game called Konkwest which uses a Globe instead of a flat map and actually comes with basic modding features, mainly just all the possibly customizable fields and functions. You can probably guess where this is going and the reason why I would do this is simple; I wanted to map my Mobius. To see it from Space again.

My Mobius actually resembled the Geography of this Earth with one most notable and important change: there were several small islands, practically invisible, that constitute most of the typical, distinctly "Sonic" locations if that makes any sense. While those aren't really in the mod because of limitations, the map is otherwise accurate.

You also can decipher several things about my canon from it and differences from SEGA's: Soleanna is larger then a City-State, Blaze and the Sol Empire were not in a separate dimension, the United Federation and countries from Unleashed right next to a bunch of unseen and unofficial ones, Apotos being spelled as "Apothos", so on and so fourth. Notably, you can see that the year / turn counter says 1931 and that's because the Sonic series, or rather the original Sonic game specifically, actually starts that year - the answer to this is just that we had more advanced technology then this world, and completely different history (although some weird parallels / analogous countries it seems). It's definitely a little funny since it seems probably most sonic canons are meant to be modern day, only recent decades or in the future.

This is basically already finished by the way, it has all 44 countries of that time period in my Mobius. I just need to make a few more flags and finish a few more "institutions" (game's term for alliances and unions basically) and then I'll get back to what I was doing with Sonic 1 and 2 for my canon. It was actually fun mapping this out!

Honestly living a past life as Tails and a future life as Anti-Tails / Miles is...interesting. This life already has some weird parallels going on with my past one, so who knows? Anti-Tails might mirror this one as well, or even the one as Tails in more ways then one.

It's like this is what's happening / how I'm feeling recently and it gives me an ominous sense of dread because it's almost like a exact mirror or echo and occurred right when I started to remember what happened in my past life.
