SamHannah— Horseback Riding & Flower Picking

I deeply, deeeeeeply love this ship. Sleepy gave me the idea for a different ship at first, but when I saw the picture of the two women kissing atop the horse I was like: I must. I simply must. It’s Sam and Hannah!

Because I love these two so much and rarely ever depict it as reciprocated love I threw in a bonus dare — picnic!

Sooo the first one might be controversial given Sam’s diet/lifestyle choice, but after some research my compromise is: Sam was still new to it at this time and it was a strictly one-off fare with Hannah. After the fact they both went onto research how and if there are ways to feasibly go horseback riding ethically. Because whether or not there is is heavily debated and my post is not a place to argue it.

Another bonus! I might dress this one up later but I’m already behind schedule.

a/n !: haii anon ! this is a wonderful request and i hope it can bring some comfort to people who have struggled with ED's before !! i don't know if there was a specific ed that you had in mind so it's kind of implied anorexia ! please let me know if there is something you'd like different or redone !!

synopsis !: headcanons of mitchell and freddy helping gn!reader recover from an ed !

mitchell

mitchell is quite literally THE food critic. so when you tell him about how you used to struggle with an eating disorder he is determined to show you the real joys of food. 

at first he isn't able to grasp how you couldn't enjoy food, but he doesn't say anything about it only offering condolences and comfort. being a food critic was the most important thing to him but now, helping you fully recover is more important.

he'll take you on dates around the house at each little food joint. or if this is post-realization we're talking about he'll take you to the fanciest spots known. of course he doesn't force you to eat, no no. he just wants to show you the real experience of fine dining. 

'look at the ambiance of this place! it is quite the real deal right mon cherie?' 

it'll start with the ambiance of the place, the two of you commenting and chatting about how warm and cozy it is. then, with each dish he tastes he offers you a small bite. noting what dishes you do and don't like. 

the more you go out with him, the more you become comfortable eating. bigger bites with each date. until one night, you decide to order your own dish. 

mitchell is scared to say anything, afraid that anything he says may make you rethink your decision. so he decides to compliment your order like if it wasn't out of the usual. 

'what an amazing choice mon amour! i heard that this dish has a secret sauce that is just out of this world! do let me know how you like it, yes?'

you explain the flavors of the dish to him, using words that he's used many times before. blushing at the thought of you adopting some of the words he frequently uses. 

'my! a couple of dates with me and you're already starting to sound like a pro.'

the night ends with you and mitchell sitting in the kitchen, still talking about the meal you just had. saying what you liked and didn't like about the dish. mitchell's hand places itself on your leg, drawing soothing shapes onto it. 

'mon cherie, i just wanted to tell you that you've done just an amazing job tonight. i'm sure it was no easy task but you had a complete meal tonight! you should give yourself a round of applause for that.' 

you look at him, head cocked to the side in confusion. until you realize that, yes, you did indeed eat a full meal. it must have been due to you working your way up to bigger bites that finally gave your the confidence you needed to eat something.

you know there'll always be really good days and really bad days, but mitchell would be by your side each time. encouraging you to remember what the meaning of food really is. 

freddy

freddy would be the only one to know you have an eating disorder without really knowing what it is. he just noticed you haven't been going to the fridge as much as you used to. at first he thought that maybe it's his fault for not keeping the food fresh enough.

you reassure him that's not what it is and tell him the reason why you don't like to eat as much. he listens intently as you talk about your experience, not once taking his eyes off of you as you speak.

'gee cool kid. i didn't know you felt that way. well maybe i can help you with recovering! just like you helped me with that rotten food awhile back!'

you accept his offer, unable to resist his charming smile. when you get to the kitchen the next morning, freddy is sitting there his chest open showing off all of the food you had available. 

'we've got an amazing pad see ew with some broccoli, shiitake, AND button mushrooms, some egg, and just a hint of spice to make the whole thing sing!'

a small laugh erupts from you, you can't help but laugh at his enthusiasm. it warms your heart to know that freddy cares about you so deeply. 

while it makes your chest feel fuzzy, it doesn't particularly make you want to eat any food at the moment. he has a small trick up his sleeve though. freddy piles the food onto a fork before extending it out to you, staring at you with an expectant gaze.

'go on cool kid! take a bite, even if it's just a small one! that's one more bite than before.'

there's a pause in the air before you shift forward allowing freddy to feed you a small bite of pad see ew. the spicy and salty flavors come together, creating a delicious dish, you really take the time to enjoy it. 

each day you and freddy meet in the kitchen to have mini taste test sessions with the leftovers in your fridge. until you finally run out of them. 

his face is one mixed with shock and sadness, the realization that you have no more dishes to share hits him. then an amazing idea hits him!

'cool kid! what if...now hear me out, we order from food fetch? then we can continue our taste testing dates.' 

with the help of phoenicia, the two of you look through the list of restaurants that are in your area. you both decide on a nice pizza from pie on life. 

when the food arrives you eat more than you have in a while, freddy looks at you with a loving look throughout your meal. 

'i know it must have been difficult but i'm really proud of you, cool kid! now we can share many more meals right?'
