Sam wrapped his arm around Mercedes hoping to comfort her. It broke his heart when she started to cry. He hoped that she knew that she could throw her burden on him. She didn't have to carry all of this weight on her own. He wrapped her tight in his arms and kissed her forehead as he rubbed her back. "Everything will be okay. I promise. I won't let you do this alone. You are going to have a beautiful baby and cousin Sam will spoil them rotten. Just wait and see."

Sam was not going to let Mercedes do this on her own just because Chris was being a douche. "Listen to me Mercedes. You aren't leaving here. this is your home. The baby is part of my family which makes him my responsibility to. I was going to be there regardless if Chris was here or not. You aren't alone. Remember that I told you that we are your family now. That includes me. You're aren't going to leave." Sam was serious. he wasn't going to let Mercedes take the baby and leave. She was going to stay here and he was going to help her regardless if she wanted him to or not. "Let's eat since you haven't eaten all day. I will make the sandwiches while you program all of your appointments in my phone."

Sam heard her and hoped that she would calm down even though he didn't blame her. He looked at her when she said that she had to find a place. "Mercedes, you're staying here. This is your home just as much as Chris. I promised Chris that I would always be there for you. Even if I didn't make that promise, I would be there for you. We are in this together. You are carrying a baby that is a part of my family also. So you will stay here and don't worry about a thing. I just want you to relax and maybe Chris will realize what an idiot he's being and come back." Sam was serious about her staying there. He was going to help her and the baby since Chris act like he is incapable of that.

Sam knew Mercedes was pissed but he needed her to calmed down for the baby's sake. Sam was pissed as well. He couldn't believe that Chris made him promise to be there for Mercedes knowing that he was going to leave her. He would do be there for Mercedes no matter what, but right now he wanted to find Chris and kick his ass. He walked over to Mercedes not really knowing what to say. She had every right to be angry, but he needed her to be calm. All this stress couldn't be good. "Mercedes...I know that you're angry, but just try to relax and remember that you have a beautiful baby growing inside you and he needs his mother to be stress free." Sam felt stupid saying those words but he hoped he was getting through to her.

Sam turned and saw Mercedes with tears in her eyes. He didn't want to confirm her suspicions but when she accused him of knowing Chris's plan to leave he had to speak up. "I swear I didn't know that he was leaving. He only told me that he had something important to do this morning and he couldn't get out of it. I didn't think nothing of it." He sighed not believing that they were in this situation. "Trust me, if I knew what was going on, I would have said something. I wouldn't have let him leave like this." Sam didn't know what Chris was thinking. Sam passed the letter on to Mercedes. He hated the broken look in her face. He hated Chris for taking the easy way out. He wanted this to be a dream. A bad dream that he will wake up from soon.

Sam walked into the kitchen and started getting the things to make the sandwiches with. As he made his way to the fridge, he saw a note attached to the fridge door. He picked it up and read it. His eyes went wide ans he read the note that was written in Chris's handwriting. He couldn't believe that he just packed up and left his pregnant girlfriend. He thought the talk that they had helped eased his fears. He didn't know that Chris was going to run a way from his responsibilities like a coward. He didn't want to show Mercedes the letter but he knew he had to. He just hoped that she wouldn't go off and jeopardize her and the baby's health.

Sam got out of his car and walked up to the apartment. He was tired from getting up so early to go with Mercedes to her doctor's appointment. But he had promised Chris to go since he said he had something to do and he couldn't reschedule. Sam didn't mind going because this baby was a part of his family. He smiled at Mercedes. "No problem. The baby is part of my family also. Of course I would step in for Chris. I will probably end up on baby sitting duty anyway." He agreed that everything seemed real now. He couldn't believe she was 15 weeks already. "I do think he's excited. I know he loves you and loves that baby very much." He opened te apartment door, and decided to make lunch for everyone. "Um..you can go check on Chris while I make us something to eat. He's probably sleeping."

Mercedes stepped out of Sam’s car and smiled. She had just left the doctors office and she was feeling really good about everything. She glanced down at the ultrasound once again. she was unable to stop looking at it. That was her baby, she would never let anything happen to it, never let anyone or anything harm her baby. She would love it more than her mom ever loved her. She sighed looking over to Sam. “Thanks for coming with me Sam. I know you didn’t have too. I cant believe I am 15 weeks already. Everything is so real you know? Do you think Chris is excited?”

Sam listened to Chris request and had no problem making that promise regardless of how he felt for Mercedes. He loved Chris and would do anything for him. “Of course man. Even though nothing is going to happen to you, I promise to take care of Mercedes and you little munchkin just in case. Just relax and prepare for the new family that you’re about to have. I’m proud of you man. You go after what you want and you’re not afraid of anything..You fave your fears.” Sam gave Chris a bro hug and when he pulled away he said...”Okay...enough sentimental things...Let me kick your ass in COD.” Sam was knew that everything would work out.

Sam listened to Chris and his heart went out to him. He knew Chris would be a great father to his child. He wanted to help him overcome his fears. He didn’t want Chris feeling inadequate. “Listen, you are the best person I know. You will be an amazing dad. The kid will love you and look up to you. Stop siking yourself out. Everything will work out. I’m helping out with the bills around here so you should be good financially. I sleep on the couch and you can turn my room into a nursery if you want. Things will be good because I know you will do whatever you have to do for the baby. Don’t sweat anything.” Sam hoped Chris listened to him. He knew Chris was a great man, he just needed Chris to believe it to.

He was just about to beat a level in GTA when he heard a knock at the door. He opened it and saw Chris there. “Hey man, he said as he turned and sat back down on his bed. “What’s going on?”

Please don't consider that there some idea someone suggested. It's okay for one night but to have them live together in a three some committed relationship is weird to me. It is like that Sam/Mercedes/Finn fic I tried to read. They became a threesome and it became so uncomfortable for me to read. LOL
