Ice Age Hyperfixation

For the past week, my mind has been corrupted by Ice Age. It's a blessing and a curse that I can't escape. So now I will bother Tumblr with my Ice Age brainrot:

I watched ice age 1 in Dutch dub when I was little. Yet, the dialogue didn't sink in with me. So I deadass thought Diego's pack was male only because they were all gay.

I wish that the other movies had such laid back plots like the first.

Watch ice age 1 and 5 back to back, and you'll get a whiplash.

Sid's character was supposed to be a mix of the Sid we know and fast Tony from the sequel. In deleted scenes, he would scam children into giving him blueberries and leading on a female sloth called Sylvia.

The only reason I like Ice Age 4 is because of DiegoxShira. They may have a few moments. But if you read between the lines, there's more dept in them. For example, Diego giving her water scene. Diego probably saw himself in Shira. He was also a second-hand to the leader of his pack (in her case, crew). Both only being used for ulterior motives and said leader not caring for them.

They were the start of my enemies to lovers fanfiction rabbit whole.

The more characters the movies add to the herd, the worse the quality becomes.

Like we lack so much interaction between the characters. Especially Peaches between other characters. She's considered a niece, and Sid and Diego her uncles. But they barely interact to show us their connection.

As a Jewish person who suffers from bipolar disorder, I have no sympathy for Kanye West. Bipolar disorder turned me into an apathetic, irresponsible person, sure, but it never turned me into a fucking Nazi. There is no manic episode that could make me shout racist slurs, or spew such vile things. When I was manic, I turned into a promiscuous alcoholic, not a bigot. Turning into a Nazi isn't in the DSM5, I can assure you.

Kanye West has more followers on Twitter than there are Jews worldwide. He is one of the most famous people on earth. The fact he can go on an antisemitic rampage without consequences is terrifying. If you're not a Jew, your Jewish friends need your allyship more than ever right now.

We had a sub once. The sub asked a new classmate a question, he didn’t understand her question. The sub went almost apeshit and started teasing him that he couldn’t speak Dutch or something, asking him if he was stupid. He still was unsure how to respond.

The class had to inform her that he was a refugee from Syria and that he had trouble understanding Dutch and was still learning the language.

Once my friend Henry was accused of wearing wireless headphones by a substitute so she said for him to hand them over so he took them off and handed them to her. Then later on she asked him a question and he didn’t respond so she said it louder and he still didn’t respond. She asked why he was not responding and he said “I can’t understand you ma'am, you took my hearing aids.”
