The Art and Science of Saving Lives
I am pleased to add a significant asset, capability to my profile. I have been busy for the past 3 years learning what the psychological and physical attributes of being a First Aid responder really mean. I call it the, "Art and Science of Saving Lives". I now add these competencies to my Personal Counseling and Professional Life Coaching services. https://youtu.be/dyNn4wVazA8?si=KFYBCBwQl9aYp1c4 Business Benefits: According to a report from the US Occupational Safety & Health Administration, there are about 10,000 cardiac arrests that occur in the workplace each year in the United States alone. The total cost of work injuries in 2021 was $167.0 billion, according to NSC Injury Facts. This figure includes wage and productivity losses of $47.4 billion, medical expenses of $36.6 billion, and administrative expenses of $57.5 billion. 1. Insurance Discounts. Implementing proactive measures to improve workplace safety can lead to potential insurance discounts. According to an article from Forbes, key factors affecting workers' compensation insurance premiums are your industry, payroll, and claims history. Businesses with high-risk profiles and many workers' compensation claims in the past are subject to higher insurance rates. 2. Legal Compliance. Ensuring your workplace meets all legal requirements and standards is key to mitigating legal risks and liabilities. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), it is a requirement that employees be given a safe and healthy workplace that is reasonably free of occupational hazards. 3. Immediate Response to Injuries. Keeping a cool head after a worker is injured on the job can help minimize the severity of the injury for the employee, as well as protect the business owner from additional liability. 4. Reducing Recovery Time. By addressing risks proactively, businesses can minimize downtime and expedite the recovery process after incidents. According to an article from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), individuals who received First Aid from a medically trained provider were more likely to show improvement or recover compared to those who received first aid from an untrained provider. 5. Preventing Further Injury. A study published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine found that businesses that prioritize safety training and hazard identification experience a notable decrease in incident rates, resulting in substantial cost savings over time. 6. Enhancing Workplace Safety Culture Having First Aid training in the workplace fosters a culture of safety among employees, leading to increased productivity and reduced incidents and associated costs. Most working Americans (89%) said workplace safety is more important than ever before, and almost all employees (97%) said feeling safe is an important factor in deciding where to work. Managing Change understands the critical importance of immediate First Aid interventions for your business. Let's Chat!

No one comes into life wishing to die!
Because Your Job and Certainly Your Profession Does Not Define You! No one comes into life wishing to die! After working for some time with a client who experienced wicked change in their life, asked me how do I carry on, I did not respond with verbal dierera by saying what I do. Instead I asked them what difference would it make in their life if I shared what I do as opposed to what they ‘HOPED FOR’ from their life. This is an approached that I have learned from my studies in Solution Focued Brief Therapy with my instructor Elliotte Connie and his team of psychotherapists. I use any of the four aspects of the Diamond approcach that helps my clients refocus on their needs and bring out a client’s meaning of what life means to them and that they wish to support. The conversation brought out how they tried to follow the socially expected track to success only to experience pain in their personal relationships and disappointment in their professional efforts even with two PhD’s, a slu of association awards and even request to consult for various interests. Once again instead of me exposing some wisdom of the elder's thoughts, which by this way I believe in such intellectual and spiritual perspectives, allow me to share with you a mini document entitled, Dying Out of Sight’, aired on NHK Japan Watch, more over listen to the concerns expressed. Take note to the age of those that begin to doubt their usefulness in our societies. Most importantly Connect the dots of how Japanese society needs are like our own. We are all humans seeking to connect in safe, productive and meaningful ways. https://lnkd.in/eea4XEuS Litmus test: Have you seen the increased numbers of suicide billboards up and down the eastern seaboard? It is a testament to the breaking down of our social fabric as humans seeking purpose!

It's important to note that Iceland, like many countries, has initiatives and support systems in place to address mental health challenges. Efforts to promote mental health awareness, provide access to mental health services, and reduce stigma can contribute to mitigating the impact of depression.

Broaden your understanding of your world and you will find we are more interconnected than ever before. Academics is one aspect of knowing, social engagement allows for constructive change, especially in the complex manufacturing, processing and distribution of the components of our lives. In many instances, the many products exposed to be in our best interest are made with flagrant disregard for our eco-system. Exchange the word 'CHANGE', with 'Mutually Beneficial Collaboration' and the intent is focused on working together to better understand 'Sustainability'

Creating Desirable Healthy Behaviors
Creating desirable healthy behaviors will extend your life expectancy due to the reduction of tension in your body. It has also been shown to enhance mobility and sensory pleasures. As we develop a healthy manner we attract and develop respect from others which in turn improves our self esteem. Cultivating your own desirable healthy behaviors does take time and focus…we call this one’s intent. Both personal and public rewards are significant as we learn to develop a sense of ourselves that raises our self esteem. An emotional high that we all crave from time to time. Asking Better Questions Why don't we LISTEN with one another?
We all have a common interest. That interest is to share our beliefs in a safe, constructive and supportive environment. Yet we express frustration and a lack of patience at the slightest perceived misunderstanding or desired action we wish from those we are speaking with.
What if we develop our ability to affirm what we think we hear, connect by slowing down our reaction time to a given verbal feedback and set aside our presumptions of what a response or lack of response means?
Listen with the intent to understand without all the urgency to give a response.
