How to use 不 and 没 in sentences? Some people will be confused while using 不 and 没 in the sentence, because they all refer to negative meaning. But sometimes they can’t be exchanged in the sentence. Now we are going to explain the difference between 不 and 没. 1.If in front of a verb, “不” indicates subjective attitude, negating an action which is going to happen or is happening. The action can be frequent, habitual or regular. “不” is mostly used in present tense and future tense. “没” indicates an action which has happened or had been done. It is usually used in past tense or present tense. Eg. 明天你们去吧,我不去。 Tomorrow you go, I’ll not go. 昨天我生病了,没去上班。 Yesterday I was ill, I didn’t go to work. 2.If in front of an adjective, “不” negates some character or some status of a thing. “没” negates the change of a thing in character and status. Eg. 这条裙子便宜,但不漂亮。 This dress is cheap, but not nice. 牛肉没熟,再煮煮。 Beef is not ripe yet, need to cook more. A lot of learners will have problems about the changing tones in Chinese. If you think that as long as you can pronounce the four tones well, you know Chinese well, you are wrong! Actually, there are another interesting rules about Chinese tones. Sometimes, tones also can be changed according to different situations. Remember well those rules mentioned below. Then you really can pronounce Chinese well without any problems. :) 1. Third tone rules 3+3=2+3 (When two third tones together, the first one will be changed into second tone.) eg: 你好 nǐ hǎo (syllables spelling) / ní hǎo (pronunciation); 哪里 nǎ lǐ (syllables spelling) / ná lǐ (pronunciation) 2. four tone rules of “不” ① 4+4=2+4【Only when 不(bù) follows with another fourth tone, 不 should be changed into second tone. 】 eg.: 不是 bù shì (syllables spelling) / bú shì (pronunciation) ; 不会 bù huì (syllables spelling) / bú huì (pronunciation) ② (4+1,4+2,4+3) 【In another situations, 不 keeps the same tone as fourth tone.】 eg.: 不知道 bù zhī dào ; 不行 bù xíng ; 不想 bù xiǎng not know no not want 3. four tone rules of “一” ① 4+4=2+4 【Only when 不(ì) follows with another fourth tone, 不 should be changed into second tone. eg. : 一半 yì bàn (syllables spelling) / yí bàn (pronunciation) ; 一次 yì cì (syllables spelling) / yí cì (pronunciation) ② (4+1,4+2,4+3,1) 【In another situations, 一 keeps the same tone as fourth tone.】 eg. : 一本书 yì běn shū ; 一年 yì nián ; 一起 yì qǐ ; ③ One more situation- when counting numbers or talking the ordinal numbers, 一 pronounced as first tone. eg. : 1,2,3.... yī, èr, sān.... one, two, three... 第一 dì yī, first For more useful knowledge about Chinese, check our facebook page: www.facebook.com/LangSchoolMANDE/ #китайскийязык #mande #languageschool #learnchinese #online #chinese #中文 #onlineteaching (在 Владивосток)

Do you know why Chinese gamblers don't like to buy a book? 📚 First of all, to introduce you one of the common rhetorical devices in Chinese - pun (双关 shuāng guān). The Shorter Oxford English Dictionary defines a pun as :”The use of a word in such a way as to suggest two or more meanings, or the use of two or more words of the same sound with different meanings, so as to produce a humorous effect; a play on words”. Certainly many examples can be found where only part of a word is involved in a pun. Pun can, indeed, be humorous and often are meant to be so, and they can form the climax of jokes. In Chinese, inauspicious-sounding terms are sometimes deliberately avoided by means of a pun. For example, book (书 shū) sounds like the word to lose(输 shū). Because of this unfortunate homophone, Chinese gamblers will not “buy a book” (买书 m ǎi shū ), the fear being that they are thereby committing themselves to staking and losing. Interesting, right? Now remember never mention books to a gambler in China, maybe you will be unfortunately hit. 😂 If you are interested in pun, leave a comment below. Then I will share more interesting puns with you in the future posts. 😉 #китайскийязык #книги #mande #languageschool #learnchinese #online #chinese #中文 #onlineteaching #pun #rhetorical #gamblers #book (在 Владивосток)

In the picture, it's a gesture representing "No way" in Russia. You know how to say "No way" in Chinese? Let's have a look! 👀😊 📖【Explanation】 “没门儿”字面上是说没有门可以供人出去,就是没有可能的意思。表示某事不用想、没有商量的余地。 “没门儿(méi ménr)” literally means there is no door to get out. Its extended meaning is there is no possibility in doing something, indicating no room for negotiation or compromise. 📝【Examples】 1、Jiă: Nǐ néng jiè wǒ diǎn qián ma? 甲:你能借我点钱吗? A: Can you lend me some money? Yǐ: Méi ménr, nǐ shàngcì jiè wǒ de qián hái méiu huán ne. 乙:没门儿,你上次借我的钱还没还呢。 B: No way. You have not returned the money you borrowed last time. 2、Jiă: Nǐ bāng wǒ bǎ zuòyè xiě wán ba. 甲:你帮我把作业写完吧? A: Can you help me with my homework? Yǐ: Méi ménr.Zìjǐ de shìqing zìjǐ zuò. 乙:没门儿,自己的事情自己做。 B: No way. Do you know what does "放鸽子" mean? It's a very authentic Chinese folk adage. It means [stand somebody up, not turn up/ not show up]. In Chinese, we have a word to mean this -约 shuǎng yuē 😤 There is also an old saying about this word. It is said that previously people contacted each other by pigeons. And there were a pair of friends who promised each other that they would send letters to each other by pigeons. But one day, one of the friends sent the other a pigeon without letter. The other one was unhappy and said" why you just sent a pigeon and broke the promise "? Nowadays people just use this word to describe people who promised something but finally they didn't keep the promise. #китайскийязык #учиткитайский #фото #голубев #mande #languageschool #learnchinese #online #chinese #中文 #pigeon #folk #adage #vladivostok (在 Владивосток)
