Ever wondered what music from Sudan sounds like? Ever wanted to hear hip-hop from Greenland, or black metal from Tahiti? Come join the fun at Champions of the Earth, the podcast that is dedicated to discovering wild music from around the world, in eighty episodes. In each episode, we select three (or four) countries at random, play you the most unusual or interesting music we can find from there and then talk about it. There are some skits too, for those of you that love a good skit.
We’ve just released episode ten, the final episode in our first series, but we’ll be back in February 2014. In the meantime, check out the work we’ve done so far on our website, which features little backgrounds of the artists we played. If you just want to listen, follow us on Soundcloud. If you enjoy the ride of the podcast but are hungry for some more music, come check our Facebook page or Twitter account, where we’ll be posting some of the tracks that didn’t make it.
