every so often the celebrities/athletes who are the object of intense fandoms on tumblr are told about tumblr and every so often they log on long enough to check their tag and see the fan art and the fan fiction and every so often the people on here producing that fan art and that fan fiction go absolutely wild with fear and delete their accounts and become ashamed about the amazing & unique content they’ve produced, and i just want all of you – the creators of said fan art and fan fiction – that you should not be ashamed of the hard work you have put in to the art you have produced, you should not be ashamed of the time you have spent creating it, and you should not be so ashamed about it all that you delete your account. own it. people mention tumblr on livestreams because they want to try to embarrass you – don’t be embarrassed. if people cannot see and appreciate your creativity and your hard work, they shouldn’t matter to you.

Miss you ❤️❤️❤️ hope everything is okay
Thank you for this message and for thinking of me. I miss you all, too and putting up content for you all.
I’ve just been in a really weird time with a lot of things going on personally and changes and decisions to make on the horizon. Writing has always been my escape from real life but for whatever reason, it’s not something my brain can fully focus on right now. So for now, I’m slowly writing and planning here and there but mostly reading to get that escape.
I hope to be back soon once I get some clarity. I’m trying diligently to work through it. 💙

First time Mo hugs you ❤️
The first time Mo hugs you isn’t even a date of complete significance. You’d been introduced by Lucy on a night out. You had done yoga with her, grabbed a few coffees together and she invited you out, her first night out in a while since becoming a mother, her birthday. So you agreed.
And you had fun. She introduced you to Morgan and you immediately hit it off. You were getting along pretty well with the blond haired, blue eyed boy with great manners and a wicked sense of humor and you thought it could be something more. Of course, that could also be the shots Kappy and Willy were feeding you but you had a feeling. Eventually, Morgan’s arm crept around you as the night went on and he started feeling a buzz come on, too. You weren’t sure if it was to ward off the Nordic boys or if it was for warmth as the late spring breeze blew into the rooftop bar. You were thankful, either way, looking down at the thin strap that covered nothing. So you sidled into his body and enjoyed the night, your head bopping to the tunes coming in over the speakers, a strong drink cool in your hand.
“Everyone, picture time!” Lucy called, gathering everyone around.
Your entire party squeezes into the center of the bar and non-coincidentally, you’re with Morgan. You smile as his arm snakes around your shoulder and pulls you to him gently, still giving you a chance to escape if you wanted. Instead, you move back into him, his body pressed against your back, his arm hanging around you hugging you to him.
“You’re the most beautiful girl here. I want to get to know you.” he whispers softly, shyly into your ear as he holds you close. You turn around and glance back him, a smile full blown on your face. “Don’t want Kappy getting the wrong idea…”
“Then don’t. Take me out on a date,” you counter, your lips centimeters from his, his arm hugging you to him.
“Breakfast tomorrow,” he proposes, a goofy, buzzed grin on his face.
You nod, grinning back at him.
“Y/N, Mo, love you but this isn’t the time to exchange numbers!” Lucy scolds, between clenched teeth as she smiles for the camera. You giggle with Morgan before turning your attention back to the camera.
“Okay, okay, I’ll airdrop everyone immediately!” Lucy announces, turning to her phone.
Morgan is still grinning at you like an idiot, having just finalized your plans for first date when the photo comes in from Lucy.
You quickly scan the photo for yourself and when you see your face, turned to Morgan, adoring smiles on each of your faces, eyes for no one but one another, your suspicions are confirmed.
This could really be something.

Would you do a blurb about Mo dating a female hockey player on the leafs?
Morgan didn’t want it to get messy. He knew what the repercussions were if what you had together were to go south. He knew what it would mean for him, for you, for the team and in his head, he knew that he shouldn’t pursue you.
But his heart told him otherwise.
So he did and he was glad to know that from the day you had met at training camp, that you felt the same.
So you snuck around for a bit but soon it became apparent to your teammates what was happening. But they knew how he felt about you and would keep teasing to a minimum, at least when it was just Mo.
Eventually you both had to come clean to senior management and they weren’t too keen on your relationship. In fact, they didn’t like it at all but it was your life as they put it. As long as the Leaf came first, they would allow it.
Thankfully, on the ice, it was simple. You were teammates and that was it. You had kept to that rule pretty well until it was later in the season and things started to get chippy going into the playoffs.
You had always been able to hold your own but this particular game against the Bruins, something snapped within Mo.
Marchand kept getting in your face, taking cheap shots when he could, shoving you around after the whistle, chirping you excessively. Morgan was getting heated but with a pat of your stick against his shin pads, you brought him down to Earth and grounded him. He cooled down.
It wasn’t until Marchand took you down during the faceoff that Morgan lost it and came flying at him, fists coming down on him. You got up, in a daze, your nose bloodied from hitting the ice face first to see Morgan’s blue eyes nearly black as he fought back rabidly, yelling profanities at the Bruin, his face beet red.
“I knew you’d crack, Rielly,” Marchand teased as Morgan got steered away to the penalty box with only three minutes left in the game. “You always do. You couldn’t help but defend your little girlfriend this time.”
Marchand throws a glance over at you and he grins, knowing he’s gotten under your skin and suddenly Mo is charging back at him, only the refs holding him back.
“You’re a real piece of shit! You’re a real PIECE. OF. SHIT.” Eventually the officials had enough and pointed for Morgan to skate down the tunnel. They’d seen enough and for Marchand’s sake, threw Morgan out of the games. The intent behind Morgan’s eyes meant Marchand was dead if he were let back in and the referees could not take a chance.
So you had to go the rest of the game without him. You got patched up on the bench, the trainer stopping your nosebleed and you got back on the ice. Somehow, the team defended a 3-2 lead and got the victory, a huge win going into the playoffs next week. But while the team celebrated on the ice, you couldn’t help yourself as you skated straight for the locker rooms where you knew he was waiting.
And you were right, he was waiting, dressed, pacing the blue carpeted floors.
He raised his eyes to you. “Get dressed. No media for us tonight.” And you nodded, silently, beelining straight to the showers and dressing area. After a quick check with the trainers and nothing but slight bruising, you were released.
He didn’t touch you. He didn’t talk to you the entire way back to his apartment. He would glance over every now and then but not a word.
“I could’ve killed him. I would’ve killed him if they had let me.” He sat down at the foot of your bed and just as you were about to walk away, he settled his hands on your hip, pulling you down to sit on his knee.
“I know you would’ve. I’m glad they pulled you off the ice.”
His facial expression went hard but he continued, his voice soft. “How is your nose?” His hands caressed your face, his thumb running gently along the bruising forming under your eyes.
“Not broken… Mo, you have to let me fight my battles.” You push his hands away.
Mo sighs. “I did… I tried but--I know I have no excuse. I got worried and angry and then I blacked out. I was so mad.”
It was your turn to sigh. “I know, Mo. But we have to figure this out. We can’t… we have to figure out our situation on the ice. You can’t do that again.”
He drops his head and looks down at his hands. “I know… I need to think with my head and not my heart initially. I need to be better.”
You place your hands on his cheek and pull his face back up to look at you. “But thank you for defending me. It was very… heroic of you. And I know that you’d do it for John, for Kappy, for Auston, for Jake, too.” You smile down at him and press a gentle kiss to his cheek, a thank you.
“Let me show you something else that I wouldn’t do for them,” he mutters. You smile into his lips as he brings you down with him onto the bed, his fingers threading through your hair.

Falling asleep with Mo on his parents’ couch and they see him gently holding the bump on your belly but know they should wait to say anything
THIS PROMPT KILLS ME IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!
A long day of holiday travel and waking up early for the Christmas present tradition coupled with a heavy Christmas feast with the Rielly’s was enough to take anyone out. So it wasn’t a surprise that Andy and Shirley found Connor asleep on the arm chair with Maggie on his lap and you and Morgan curled up on the couch, spooning, his face in your neck, his arm curled around you.
“Awe, honey. Isn’t that sweet?” Shirley cooed to her husband.
“What? Connor and Maggie? They do that every Sunday,” Andy teased much to his wife’s annoyance. She rolled her eyes and her hand swatted at him.
“No, Morgan and Y/N, Andy!” She turns her attention back to them and smiles. Her eyes begin to water as she truly takes you in. Morgan is curled up closely against your back, his arm wrapped around your waist, your shirt slightly pushed up and his hand resting on your bare stomach, sloped with what was very much more than just a post-holiday feast food baby, poking out from between your hips.
“Andy, is that…?” she whispers, though her voice stops, her throat closing up with emotion. “Morgan and Y/N are expecting! We’re going to be grandparents! We’re going to have a baby Rielly running around the house so soon!”
Andy pulls her tight to him and wraps his arms around her from behind. “Shirley, before you get too excited… they haven’t told us for a reason…”
“But Andy, it makes sense! Y/N didn’t have any wine at dinner, Morgan kept checking on her and doting on her more than usual and never left her side even when she excused herself from the dinner table midway through the meal. Our son has been more protective than I’ve ever seen him, too. And she’s radiant, more than ever. She has that motherly glow to her. It just--mother’s intuition, I know it.”
Andy smiles down at her. “I know, I know. But they obviously are waiting or they would’ve told us by now,” he reasons, giving her a look.
“You’re right,” she sighs. “I’m just excited for them. They’re going to be amazing parents, so loving. Look at them.” They watch on as Morgan’s arm pulls you in closer, his hand flexing and subconsciously moving on your belly, rubbing gently. “Just look at how loving and sweet and perfect they are for each other. Parenthood will suit them well. They were meant to be parents.”
“That they are,” Andy agrees, pressing a kiss to his wife’s temple. “We raised a good boy.”
“That we did… and he found the most perfect wife. She’s going to be a good mom. From one mom to another, I know it deep down in my bones.” Her heart is so content with how everything turned out, having her whole family home for the holidays, her youngest son starting his own family, her oldest son happy and content with his career, her loving husband, and Maggie… nothing could be more perfect.
“Let me at least snap a photo of them,” Shirley insists going to grab her phone off the counter. “This’ll be a memory they’ll want to hold onto forever… their first Christmas as a family.”

Who do you think Mo would bring along to buy an engagement ring?
I think he’d bring Jake (and/or his dad).
Jake has been his guy from the moment he was on the team, his ride or die. I don’t think there’d be anyone else he’d even consider bringing. He was there for pretty much the entirety of Jake’s relationship with Lucy so he’s practically family to them too. But yeah, I think other than his dad, he goes to Jake for a lot of advice, whether it be personal, professional or relationship advice because Jake is another older brother to him. They have done everything together anyway so this would just be the icing on the cake. Mo would also be able to have Lucy’s advice/word from what she’s heard from you and Jake’s experience with buying his wife’s engagement ring. So yeah, Jake.

Hey! I hope you feel better soon! I saw that you had lined up a story about body-image and also a new chapter of your original story; I can't wait to read them, if they are still in the works!
Thank you so much!
They are both still in the works! I’ve been adding a little here and there to both but have a longer one shot lined up before it! Got a little sidetracked with the week I just had but they’re all coming soon, I promise!
