AVENGERS: ENDGAME (2019) dir. The Russo Brothers

For my 3D production class I had to create a three shot short that was a remake of an existing movie scene- with muppets. I ran out of time to do the particle water effects, but this is basically Pacific Rim anyway.

Unfortunately this post is true on so many levels. I haven't really cared about anything of that before I got sick myself. I admit it. I'm not proud of it. Learning/Realising that my opinion/taughts about it or the way I reacted when I was confronted with anything similar to a disability was just plain stupid and superficially to put it lightly.

Now that I'm at the other end of the table I just want to punch people like that. They seem to have adopted some prejudices without even questioning their attitude even once. They treat you like shit because you simply ARE NOT ABLE to work fully or as long as them.

So, regarding this subject I truly believe we are living in a sad, sad world and I am afraid it will be like that for a hell of a time longer.

“What? Like, a disabled protagonist? How would that even work? How could someone with a disability be the hero in an action show?” local anime trash boy wonders while sitting next to his box sets of Full Metal Alchemist, showing no hint of irony or self awareness.

Despite being on hiatus for almost 7 years now, Yazawa Ai’s NANA is still one of my all-time favorite series. Nowadays, it’s rare to find such gripping portrayals of drama and pure emotion, where spectacular artwork replaces even the need for dialogue. I randomly reread some chapters today, and these few pages with Nobuo and Takumi struck my heart just as hard as the first time I came across them long ago. Those of you who already know the person resting under the white sheet probably understand exactly what I mean, but I won’t name the character here as it’s obviously a spoiler.

Ultimately, I continue to wish for the series’ return and conclusion, even if it may rip my heart into a million pieces <3
