My final Klout score for this course actually rose since the beginning. It was a 10 to start and now is an 18. Not too much of a rise but since the only social media I have connected to my Klout is twitter, it seems reasonable. I can only imagine what it would look like if I added my Instagram. I think it also didn't rise much because of my engagement on Twitter. With the natural disaster that was Irma, social media was the last thing on my mind, other than our assignments. I did however enjoy the tweets I saw and the tweets I posted. I think if I engaged more and maybe replied a little more to twees, my Klout would have risen.

Since the beginning of the course, I gained a total of 12 new followers. I didn’t have a Twitter in the beginning of this course so 12 new followers is a win for me!
The category of twitter users I follow is primarily my classmates from this course. Again, I never had twitter nor was I ever tempted to have one, but due to this class, I have enjoyed it.

This tweet received the most engagement. It had 3 likes and even a comment! I believe this tweet received the most engagement because it was a tweet about a popular basketball team in the NBA, the Miami Heat. It also gave some of my followers, insight into my personal interest. Introducing them to my favorite sports team.

The tweet of mine that received little response is this one. I believe this is due to the fact that Charlagmane isnt very popular among people outside of NYC. Even though he is becoming very popular as a journalist, book writer and radio personality, he has a long way to go. I also believe it received little response because of my personal engagement with the tweet.

This tweet here received the most retweets with just one. I believe this tweet received the most retweets because it was my advertorial based on spiderman and who doesn’t love him? In all seriousness, it was also an article about tweets related to the movie, some funny as well. I think that and the popularity of the movie is why it received the most retweets.

To me Charlagmane absolutely appeals to me because I am a digital native. I am someone who has been on social media sites for awhile, I would always listen to Charlagmane and his show the breakfast club, every morning when I lived in New York City. Now being in Tampa Florida, its kind of hard but since he is always on his twitter and other social media. I never miss a beat and always caught up on my hip hop/ celebrity news.
The number of followers Charlagmane has on twitter is close to 2 million. Its actually 1.92 million. I believe this means he definitely has a lot of online influence. That’s a lot of followers to discredit that fact. He is very savvy on social media, he promotes his radio show and also his recently published book. He is host of a radio show for power 105.1 and uses his social media to promote this as well.
Does this journalist help market their news organization online? I would have to say Charlagmane most definitely markets his news online. From the interviews he has with celebrities, to promoting of his book, to sharing his personal opinions on matters. Its mainly done online and also on his radio show. with being a radio host he built a platform to be able to market on his social media and online. His book is a best seller, simply from marketing it on his twitter feed. Again Charlagmane is definitely heading towards being New York Cities leading Celebrity/Hip hop journalist.

Facebook and the Election Tumblr Post
n my opinion, I believe that Facebook and other social media had a hand in the outcome of the presidential election. I believe this to be true because according to the article, 5 key takeaways about the state of the news media in 2016, 2015 was the worse for newspapers since the Great Depression and the aftermath of it. Which means to me people are only getting their information from either television or social media. So if there is an ad or information that would be biased towards one candidate, than where else will you go to read something that my be neutral. Also according to the 5 key takeaways article, digital ad spending went up 20% last year, and mobile advertising now tops desktop, but journalism organizations have not been the primary beneficiaries. One of the beneficiaries was Facebook themselves. So if theyre getting paid and not news reporters or news businesses than its kind of like a monopoly of information. Facebook can post or share what they want for a specific candidate.
Important people can help skew these numbers too. According to a facebook post by Georgia Mayor, Jefferson Riley, he put up that democrats would be able to vote the day after the election. Another example of fake news is a fake news site called the Denver Guardian, According to the Denver Post:
http://www.denverpost.com/2016/11/05/there-is-no-such-thing-as-the-denver-guardian/
This site had post a ton of anti Hillary articles, that someone could have potentially believed if social media was there only outlet. To conclude, based on this information, I feel that social media such as Facebook could have had a major impact on the 2016 presidential election.
