1,145 miles of Guam Chamorro War Reparations walking completed, 21,000 miles of walking is the goal to honor the 21,000 Chamorros from Guam who remain invisible and without war reparations over 7 decades later. December 30, 2018
5 miles walked.
The goal here is to walk 21,000 miles to honor each Chamorro who endured, died, was injured, performed forced labor and forced marches during World War Two for their loyalty to the United States.
The U.S still has not paid war reparations and Chamorros remain holding the bag.
The 988 miles walked is the total taken and moved into this blog post series from the swimming blog made during the third week of June 2018.
All walks moving forward will now be posted here. The goal is to increase awareness of the 21,000 islanders who endured catastrophic conditions during World War Two on the Pacific Island of Guam.
