The furry jacket tutorial

Hello to make this jacket you’ll need scissors, a sewing machine, sewing needle, thread, a zipper, drawstring elastic measuring tape, a marker, paper, and three fabrics(I picked two cottons and a kinky fabric for the fur but feel free to use any kind)

I’ll be referring to my fabrics as 1, 2, and 3

We’ll start by drawing and cutting out our pattern, pattern piece one is 3.5 inches wide and 3 inches tall, piece two is 7 inches wide and 3 inches tall, and piece 3 is is 14 inches wide and in the middle at 7 inches it’s 6 inches tall

The sizes were picked by measuring my adult furby(model) Buck so feel free to change it for different sized furbies

Put all there pieces on there fabric and cut you’ll need 2 cuts of pattern piece one from fabrics one, two and three, you’ll need one cut of pattern piece two from fabrics one and two, lastly you’ll need 2 cuts of pattern piece three from fabric 3 DON’T FORGET SEAM ALLOWANCE IT WILL FUCK YOU OVER (🫶🏾I did around 1 inch of seam allowance)

Layer fabric from pattern piece one in the order of one, two, three, just like the picture it’s important( also if it’s heard to tell fabrics one and two have their good sides facing each other)

Then sew all pieces like this

ST - Stitch CH - Chain HDC - Half Double Crochet DC - Double Crochet DC Inc - two double crochets into one stitch (#) - number of stitches in row/round [text] - repeat sequence

4.00 MM Hook Sport/Fine/2 Weight Yarn (I used Estelle Superwash Fine)

Bonnet

Start by making a magic circle

Round 1: Ch 2, 10 DC in magic circle (10)

Round 2: Ch 2, DC Inc in each ST around (20)

Round 3: Ch 2, [DC Inc, DC] around (30)

Round 4: Ch 2, [DC Inc, DC in next two ST] around (40)

Round 5: Ch 2, DC around(40).

You will now be working in rows

Row 6 / earhole Row: CH 2, 4DC, CH 10, DC into 10th ST from hook, DC 9, CH 10, DC into 10th ST from hook) DC 3, CH 2 and turn (38)

Row 7: DC Across, CH 2 and turn (38)

Row 8: DC Across (38)

ROW 9: HDC Across

Trim (i forget what brand, also a Sport/Fine yarn i believe)

CH 30 HDC 3 IN EACH STITCH

then i just slipped some thin ribbon through the row before the trim with a yarn needle. i found even just a chain of the yarn too thick. but see what you have and like! maybe just a plain strange of yarn or ribbon or embroidery thread would look nice aswell.

Usually id just go to joanns and touch all the fur until I find one i like but I can't really do that anymore I've kinda resorted to online shopping but I don't know what I'm like supposed to search to find it???

What is it with alligator furbys being listed as frog furbys, I get they are both green and all but this happens all the time

This is an example of an alligator who was listed as a frog. Notice the patterns in the fur and black lashes.

This is a frog labeled correctly, they have no patterns and blond lashes.

I get they look the similar but they have very noticeable differences and it just irks me. Justice for the gator furbys!

As someone with major baby face, I would be having a similar issue! I can’t help I look 14 when I’m in my 20s and fuck no am I uploading my ID to the internet. That’s just asking for my info stollen cus nothing is secure. That’s and I lowkey have a stalker so even my face or name is an issue. That gets leaked im going to have to abandon everything and start anew again.

people are clowning on this guy on reddit but uhhh let's pause for a minute and ask...so what happens if someone has a skin condition? what if part of their face has been burned? what if they're missing their eyes? and so what if they just have a fuckton of tattoos? recognition algorithms are aligned with the most ""average"" / ""normal"" features which means any deviation gets denied access to shit we didnt need age verification for 1 year ago. i dont care if it's a choice versus not, dont care if it's accessing porn or wikipedia, this needs to stop
