nick i'm assuming the newest insta post is ur handwriting and just. why do u write halfway in cursive. i'm not even bullying u i am just so interested in the amount of involvement required to go half and half with print and cursive

i was one of the last in my primary school to be allowed to write with an ink pen (requirement being your cursive handwriting was deemed legible by the teacher). it took me an ungodly amount of time to link my letters up just right and have it be deemed both 'aesthetically coherent' and 'legible'.

then i went to secondary school and found out a BUNCH of kids just write in script?? and that's completely fine?? and they weren't burdened with a year of learning how to write in cursive - they were just met at their level??? god, i was furious. all that time spent perfecting something so trivial?

...and then i started writing in script, and realised i found it just as hard as i found writing in cursive!!!

so it turns out i just lack fine motor skills. but variety is the spice of life
