Hey everyone, welcome to my all new blog/feed! Besides of travel and landscape photos, you'll see all kinds of creatures here - small and big.
This phymata crassipes is an example for the smaller ones.
With it's Captain Hook like claws, it reminds me of a tiny mantis.
They are very small, but pretty fearsome predators, capable of hunting down pray that's way bigger than themselves.
I spotted this little guy during BBQ when it landed on my plate 😅 it looked and moved like a dry leaf but a closer look revealed the interesting find.
